Big Sky has been in business for over 35 years. Serving Chicago's North Shore, all our training methods are humane, reward-based, and use positive reinforcement techniques. We believe training should be fun and include games and play. We specialize in Puppy Head Start Programs. Big Sky Dog Training will come to your home (or a location of your choosing) for a private 1 ½ hour initial training lesson. At this lesson, we like to have as many family members in attendance as possible. Besides meeting you and your family, we will evaluate your dog or puppy’s issues and teach you to train using positive, reward-based methods. Our training methods do not include harsh techniques and have been known to be successful where other trainers have failed to get positive results. Our availability to schedule an appointment is within 48 hours usually. Our group classes are small, only allowing 7 puppies or adult dogs in each class. We provide a full curriculum and certificates of completion. We also provide Canine Good Citizen certification (CGC) testing and can prepare dogs for their Therapy Dog Certification. We teach classes on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and Saturday early afternoons. Our training services have been provided to customers for over 35 years. See more
