Lovely

I had such a lovely experience at Bijoux Bridal! My stylist Susan was absolutely fantastic – so down to earth, supportive, and easy to get along with. We had a good laugh together which really helped calm my nerves, especially when I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. She was incredibly understanding and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The store itself is stunning with loads of Instagram-worthy spots, which just added to the magic of the day. And best of all – I said YES to the dress! Thank you, Bijoux and especially Susan, for making it so special. 💕

Had a very good experience in Bijoux

Had a very good experience in Bijoux. Shop looks very glamorous and tidy. The consultant was patient, knowledgable and friendly. My party was offered water and alcohol free Prosecco. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Staff really take care to make this a special experience for you. When you say “yes to the dress” you are invited to take photographs at designated picture spots, are given a momento key to hang on the wall and you are given a little goodie bag. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a special wedding dress experience, you will have a good time here!

Pay to be “fat shamed”


Saturday was DSD - dress shopping day…..lots of research had gone into where to go & traveling 3 hrs wasn’t an issue.

Appointment made with Bijoux Bridal in Hamilton.

We received a form to complete, a catalogue of dresses to choose from & a personal telephone call to discuss wedding theme, sizes etc. wow this was going to be fabulous especially as they confirmed our choices via a website link.

We arrived 10 mins early as advised to be greeted by a floor manager who introduced us to the consultant that would be looking after us.

Not sure what we were expecting but a girl in scruffy trainers, bitten nails & a dirty cardigan dress certainly wasn’t it.

The first words out of my daughter’s mouth were, no sparkle, no see through material.
This shouldn’t be a problem as she’d sent her choices & discussed everything during her telephone appointment - WRONG - dress number 1 looked like a Disney princess dress that had fallen in a glitter bath in the local kindergarten.

Not a good start but surely things will get better?

For the first hour all that happened was my daughter was “fat shamed” by this incompetent sales girl who for some reason didn’t bother to bring 1 single dress that actually fit. 6 that were so small she couldn’t even get her shoulders into any of them. A size 14/16 isn’t exactly a large ask!

After her bridesmaids went and privately spoke to the consultant we thought things would get better but no such luck.

I eventually gained the attention of the manager who to be fair did try to help but by this time my daughter was so upset that the appointment was ruined.

My advice to any future brides that are above a size 10, go somewhere else where you won’t be “fat shamed”
Any brides that are prepared to spent £3500 plus on a dress, go somewhere else & receive the service that you deserve.

No consultant worth their salt would turn up for work in dirty clothes.

No consultant worth their salt would ever be so unprepared that they give the impression that the appointment isn’t important.

No consultant worth their salt would EVER offer a dress for anyone that was TOO SMALL.

Disgraceful behavior & they should be ashamed.

Bubble well & truly burst for all concerned.
