Secure bike parking

I've rented a vertical Bikeaway locker for 15 years and never had a break-in, despite living in inner city London. Finally reaching the top of the waiting list was the only reason I bought a bike as I have no room to keep it in my flat or the strength to carry it up 5 flights of stairs! I just wheel it in on it's back wheel, raising the front to wedge inside the hoop, which is no effort. I lock my wheel and frame to the hoop as an extra precaution.
My handlebars only just fit in so it's definitely worth checking the dimensions. It isn't dry (condensation gathers on the "ceiling" and drips down) but it's certainly better than keeping it outside.
The new design, with no gap under the door, is an improvement. I get a lot of leaves blow under and inquisitive squirrels which I imagine would be prevented with the new design.

Good solution for those in flats

Myself and the wife have had Bikeaway lockers for a number of years now and have always been happy with them. They are large enough to comfortably fit most bikes and are seemingly very secure. Before this I used to have one of the bike bin spots but those are not only shared spots but also they get quite grubby inside where litter and trash blows into them and you can't really keep it clean because it's a shared space.

These individual lockers are great. However, most services like these are only tested when an issue arises and on the couple of occasions that I have encountered issues (a break in and broken lock) the service has been very good. The only downside is that the last few years the price increases have been quite aggressive but I guess that's the new state of the service and provision industry of late, and definitely since the lockdown years. That said, it still remains good value at the moment and I would recommend.

Expensive badly designed

Expensive badly designed. After 4 months waiting for the delivery the very expensive flimsy thing arrived. The locking system looks DIY. After a few weeks we noticed water inside and tried to plug a few unnecessary holes in the structure. It continues to till leak inside to an extent that we had to descale the bottom. The tyres of the bikes have been sitting in a puddle of water for moths and had to be changed. I asked for support and they told me to put a piece of plastic and seal it with silicon (I have paid 942GPB for this thing). After I explained that I wasn't in a position to do DIY they offered to come around. I have just heard an almighty racket (and a CCTV alarm): they arrived to my house, entered the front yard, didn't bother ringing the bell and just yanked the shed with our bikes inside (that piled up on top of each other) to get access to the back. It seems that the explanation of why it leaks rain water inside is that it has been designed for the door to open on one side if you choose the door to open on the other the plates do not align at the desirable place and rain water enters. Bad design that could perfectly be improved-and worse case scenario mitigated by putting blanking plates and seal it before selling them. I am still shocked that they just entered my front yard and yanked the thing. A minimum of politeness would have gone a long way. If this leaks again I will contact trading standards as not fit for purpose.

Bikeaway has very good customer service

I found Bikeaway staff very helpful and responsive to resolve a problem with the lock on my cycle locker. Bikeaway were considerate, empathetic and acted very promptly and quickly to help resolve the difficulty.

Its good to email any questions, alongside telephoning. My email was answered quickly and efficiently .

I am very happy with my interactions with Bikeaway. Bikeaway is a good company and does care about people renting their lockers, and does their best to provide the best customer service they can.
