So I ordered a component that was showing in stock so I presumed they had it in their possession. Apparently that's not what it means!?! It's in stock with their supplier, oh no it's not, comedy genius with the cherry on top that they didn't tell me the supplier had run out and didn't know when they were back in stock until I emailed to query the delay in dispatching the "in stock" item.
They took no responsibility for this misinformation and straight up blamed the supplier!
Getting a refund though as I can't wait for an unknown date.
I won't use again as I can't be confident that an in stock item is actually in stock with the store!

This is a review for the Swinnerton Cycles online store.
I was advised there was a 2-3 day delay, however it took 38 days to arrived with no further update or apology.
62 days after my purchase I was advised they had an issue with their payment system and to make payment via PayPal instead. I now need to confirm this for a purchase of £10.49, I made nearly two months ago.

This is a review of Swinnerton cycles forest centre based at Cannock chase not their website.

I visited Cannock chase today for the first time. 1hr 30 mins to get there. After approx 2 miles on the red trail my shimano freewheel hub unexpectedly broke. I walked back to the cycle shop expecting a nice bill and a small delay but was told that they couldn't help me!

The mechanics had No time for "drop in's" as they were too busy. What a nice position to be in. I asked if I could hire a bike as I didn't want to go home after just 10 minutes but was told rather curtly that they had none "its a bank holiday weekend". Yes it's a bank holiday weekend and I'm amazed that the shop didn't have more staff/mechanics available to help with the "drop ins".

Unfortunately that was my day done' not that the fella in the shop gave two hoots even when I told him I'd driven 80 miles to get there (160 round trip) he turned round and said "happens sometimes"

Well thanks Swinnerton cycles. A big fat one star for your completely inflexible and poor attitude towards customer service coupled with your poor staff management by not ensuring that you have the necessary flexibility to cope with customer demand at what was obviously going to be a busy weekend.
