Birdie treats existing customers like trash.

I have been a loyal Birdie customer for over 3 years.

Recently I discovered that Birdie charges new customers half of what they charge existing customers.

When I requested to switch to the offer that new customers receive, I was told this is not possible.

After looking for new deals, I discovered competitors that were charging less than 1/8th of the cost that I was paying.

After signing up to the competitors' service, porting my number failed as apparently my name was incorrect. At this point, my service had ended.

Birdie forced me to pay $500 HKD ($250 x 2) in order to reconnect my service to receive an SMS in order to port my number. There was no other option to keep my number.

Birdie treats existing customers like trash.

Customer service is slow and virtually…

Customer service is slow and virtually non existant. No contact phone, they can be joined by email, WhatsApp or Facebook chat, but they take at least 3 hours to answer any questions. I'm encountering problems changing the registered name in my Birdie account (the name they wrote is not the same as in my ID) and I've been all day trying to join them with no clear answer in sight. I feel I'll lost my phone number and they basically cannot do anything. Otherwise, very basic services and quite straightforward, I felt like it was ok but you can get cheaper and better with a prepaid card from other companies.

No mobile service in South America

Shocking to find that no mobile service is offered in Colombia. I am here for 1 month - no signal in capital city!! It’s the only mobile phone operator I’ve ever known not to provide a service here. Now it’s not possible for me to access software applications via 2-step authentication or see which missed calls i’ve had. Exceptionally poor - this should be highlighted when signing up to Birdie, but it’s probably hidden somewhere in terms and conditions. God think what i’d do if so I had en emergency and needed to phone police or ambulance ….
