Unethical business practice, Do not give them your credit card info
I was a first-time customer and ordered a variety of their cat foods. The shipment arrived weeks later. Shortly after, they asked if I wanted a subscription for the cat treats. My cats didn’t like the treats at all, so I said no to the subscription. They continued to text me repeatedly about the subscription, and I again replied that I did not want it. I even sent an email clearly stating I did not want a subscription.
To my surprise, they went ahead and charged my credit card and sent the cat treats my cats disliked, plus they charged me three times for shipping. I immediately emailed to ask what went wrong and why there were unauthorized changes to my credit card when I had clearly written that I did not want a subscription. I did not receive any reply.
I notified my credit card company of the unauthorized charge and shared all my written communications with Birdie & Louie about this matter. They were blocked from making any further charges to my card. This feels like very unethical business practice, and I’m baffled as to how their license hasn’t been revoked.
