I've been a fan of Bisoulovely since finding them in 2020, I've purchased many items from them and have always had a good experience.
The customer service has always been extremely helpful whenever I've needed to contact them and I highly recommend their jewellery!
So happy to finally of gotten my hands on the Crisis compact rings!!
Dissappointed in the way they conduct business
Honestly I was very excited to get wedding rings from them so I reached out on mail on their Luxe section and they have never responded. I've sent a DM on both the support and main twitter pages and no response. I can't trust a company who can't even check their emails to spend over $2000 on rings. And from reading the other reviews, I'm starting to believe this shop isn't really worth it, not even the casual Lovely jewelries too. Just disappointed with how they run their business. It sucks
Where things stand from 2022-2025
Going back and reading reviews from several years ago that are reminiscent of my recent experience show me that even given several years, little has changed.
I would like to begin by saying that I've held a favourable view of the brand as a whole for several years, yet I and at least 30 recurring customers have withdrawn our support on account of the public actions of the owner.
After receiving constructive criticism for a public post made on the brand's social media, the owner did not acknowledge her fault after a week of talks, and eventually forcibly silenced her community. It seems as if there is very little the other staff can do to manage their social media account, as the following day the owner posted several Instagram stories on the brand's account mocking the community they just shut down.
Needless to say, this is not a recommended way to respond to criticism.
As for points touched on by other reviews, I can confirm what remains persistent.
Quality assurance continues to remain poor, with particular pieces consistently losing stones/pearls with general and gentle wear. Tarnishing similarly is an issue which tends to appear far quicker in some ring styles.
Should a product arrive damaged, Lara from customer support is very pleasant and has done her best to resolve order issues, though the brand has offered less and less replacements over the years due. This is likely due to not keeping extra backstock in the case of items arriving damaged.
Prices have risen incrementally without prior notice, which had been normally given in such cases in 2022 and earlier. Some customers have noted that the increase in price is greater than the increasing price of silver, but I cannot confirm that.
There was a huge issue with several packages getting lost in transit at the end of 2023, particularly large orders originating from the US warehouse. The company has since withdrawn from this warehouse, and resumed packing orders in house. If you order anything now, your package is very likely to arrive.
As stated by another review, updates on preorders are few, and don't always contain as much specificity as one would like. There are no longer updates for general restocks. Wording for promotional emails and posts are commonly unclear, or filled with too many buzzwords to fully understand what is being said. This has developed from 2023 onward.
More on promotion, the owner has begun leaning into rage bait content. Opinions will vary on this.
Bisou does have some very lovely and hardworking people who are the backbone of the company, however, recurring issues have not been improved upon at this time.
Very poor quality
Very poor quality. The gold turned black even though they were stored properly and never worn.
I will say many designs are cute (some hideous), and I have never had issues with Lara, the customer service rep. She's been very helpful with every issue I've had with orders to the best of her ability, but I have also had many issues like lost packages, missing gem stones, etc. I've even been cut by some of the rings.
For a pair of very expensive earrings…
For a pair of very expensive earrings ($100), they sure turned black quickly. I've only worn them a handful of times and kept them in their box I paid extra for, but the "gold" tarnished after 1 use. I have about 2k worth of gold in my ears/face and this is the only pair that has done this.
Ive had issues with half my orders
So over the last couple years ive ordered from bisou probably 5 or 6 times. My dark mage ring was perfect, my bat earings also perfect. But i ordered two rose gold rings, one was missing stones and i had to send it back, then ring was out of stock so i had to pick a different one. Ordered a second ring and it was burnt on the side??? The metal was black in a few spots i assume from plating issues. Reached out and they did refund but were out of the ring again so i couldnt even order a new one. I also ordered some of their clothing which i had only a small issue with the top with a missing button. But the skirt was great
Worst part is if you speak up against the company on twitter or other social media the owner Bree will straight up harass you and send her mega fans after you. Some people were literally bullied into deleting their twitters because she would not stop. Which i think if youre that immature you shouldnt own and run a business
Issues were resolved with amazing customer service
I ordered three items with Bisoulovely - a necklace, a set of two rings, and a pair of earrings.
As I'm based in the UK, the order did take a while to arrive (ordered 11th July and received 31st July) and I think got a tiny bit lost at one point, and there was a very high customs charge but that is in no way Bisoulovely's fault.
Everything arrived beautifully packaged, everything was pink and gorgeous.
The necklace and earrings were perfect, but sadly one of the rings had a stone come loose.
I e-mailed them to explain the issue and they were incredibly quick, friendly and polite the entire time, and they arranged to send me a replacement ring set.
I received them today and sadly there was a minor issue with the same ring again, this time the stones are set but one is at an odd angle. It's only noticeable if you look up close, but it was a little disappointing. I think it's just the shape of those particular stones (hearts) being hard to get centre.
I e-mailed them again and the same day they offered a full refund and apology for the ring set.
I absolutely cannot fault their customer service, and the other items I received are absolutely beautiful.
You have to be aware that these items can be a bit delicate so they need to be treated carefully, but they're even more beautiful in person than they are in photos.
Price does not equal quality, super cute but is it worth it
I have made 5 total purchases, and 4 of them have had issues.
The first purchase was a kickstarter ring, that I love but has a gob of glue on the side under the gem. The ring also started to lose its gold plating after less than 10 wears. I reasoned that it was just rush from the kickstarter issues, and I can only notice the glue if I look up close.
The 2nd purchase was the only thing that didn't have issues, and that was one of their surprise boxes. I got 3 items in it, and they all seemed to be fine. But I didn't adore the items, so I can't really say for sure if there are issues since I hardly wear the items.
The 3rd purchase was their Planchette pendant, and the second wear the middle stone fell out. Some others had issues with their stones falling out and got replacement necklaces (saw on their discord), but I was never offered that I was told to use jewelry glue to put it back in. I did ask if I could glue it back in, but to be offered a replacement like the others would of been nice. Even a discount would of made me happy since I had to go buy the correct glue...But whatever its a small company right, and they lost money on their kickstarter.
The 4th purchase was their Asteria Lavender Pendant. They sent me the wrong necklace the first time, and I had to follow up with them afterwards when I sent it back about my replacement. They said it was because I never replied letting them know I sent it, but they didn't request I did that. They were also in the middle of changing locations..okay fine, all that stuff happens and I had to wait a month instead of getting it in a week, no biggie. But I am allergic to nickel, and every time I wear this necklace I get an allergic reaction. It's the pendant, because I took it off and used the chain for another charm, and I don't get the allergic reaction anymore. They say it is made with plated rhodium, but again I am only allergic to nickel. The chain is also trash, the necklace falls off 1-2 times a day if I wear it to work, I've never had a necklace do that.
My last, and 5th purchase was only because their store gives you points...I contemplated so much because by now most of my purchases have had issues. But I had like 70$ off and their designs are so cute. So I bought their Sadie Ring, and when I opened the box my heart sank. One of the side stones looked like it was crushed, I was so upset and in so much disbelief. I panicked and thought maybe it was glue, like with the first ring. I spent like 40 mins cleaning this tiny stone, and it was in fact glue. It looks beautiful after, but I shouldn't have to clean glue off a new ring. I do love this ring a lot, and wear it a few times a week..its holding up fine so far. But I am always disappointed when I look at it, in the back of my mind I always think about all the misfortunes I've had with this company. I really wish I took a photo or video of the ring, but I feel like an idiot for even buying something from them again.
I really want to love this company, their designs are so cute. But I can't..The price point was a little treat for me, and the quality is trash. I have bought other plated jewellery at the same price, worn it longer and more often and have not had issues with the plating coming off so soon like on the druid ring...I guess the 2nd star is just because its cute.
Also as someone else pointed out, its really strange all these 5 start reviews popped up in the same day or week.
Anyone here find it ironic that almost…
Anyone here find it ironic that almost all the positive reviews on this company are written in a VERY similar format and most of them are dated on the same day..December 14th? I don't trust the positive reviews on this company. Anyone affiliated with them can come here and write a false positive review.
Gorgeous pieces and great customer service
Bree keeps creating some of the most stunning jewellery I’ve ever seen. I’m always in awe and I really hope I can afford to purchase a few more pieces sometime. So far I’ve only been able to get two pieces from the Bisoulovely site - the Chloé necklace and the Chloé bangle. They’re absolutely stunning though, and they’ve held up well so far! I purchased them late January I believe, and I’ve used them a fair bit since. Still just as shiny and beautiful. And the customer support is incredible, they were super quick to answer any questions and concerns. I had a slight issue with one of the stones in the necklace, so I contacted them and they sent a replacement right away. Couldn’t be happier!
Less than 1year with limited wear and 2 rings have lost the same gem
My fiance bought me the rose gold Lumen ring as an early engagement ring considering the pandemic has us on extremely limited funds for splurging money. After wearing the first ring for no longer than 2 weeks the middle star was caught as I grabbed something out of my purse, popping it off completely. I was devastated. My fiance contacted CS and they replaced it with little hassle.
However, it's been 5 months since then with my replacement ring getting little to no wear out of general fear it was going to happen again. I've only been wearing it when going out of the house and looking nice i.e now that things have opened up a bit, dinners with friends, dates and work meetings.
I came home from a meeting today and noticed yet again the middle star gem is gone. I'm hurt and upset that even after being so careful and conscious of what I'm doing with my hands while wearing it that this has happened. After a close inspection we've noticed that the prongs that hold the gem in place have also not been bent in or out while on the original ring they were, I'm unsure what this means but believe it's worth noting.
I follow the brand on Twitter and have seen the recent ways customers with issues have been treated so I do not expect that anything will be done about this. We will still contact them personally to know what options we will have with this ring but we not be buying any new products from this brand. It's an absolute shame because everything does look gorgeous and I wanted to continue supporting a small business as a small business owner myself.
Very disappointed.
I ordered a mystery box with them recently, and there were a few things wrong with it. I know that a mystery box is a mystery box, but with 3 items inside, all 3 of them were rings. 2 of them were the -same- ring. And those rings that were duplicated were not the size specified in the order. When I contacted customer support, they basically said I had to pay to send everything back to them, even when they sent the wrong size. Really bad customer service, and really bad business to even send 2 of the same ring, in the wrong size, in a 3 piece mystery box, given how much variation in products that they have. I had ordered and loved some of their jewelry prior, but this experience has soured me and I will likely not buy from them again. Just informing people that if something does go wrong, even a mistake on their part, they will not correct their mistakes.
Update: Did finally speak to someone who corrected the issue. It did take a lot of back and forth.
I really wanted to love them…
I fell in love with the Bisoulovely pieces a little before March 2020. I love dainty rings and fashionable jewelry, I thought I finally found a place to regularly buy jewelry. My partner bought me the Animal Crossing ring, the Homura ring, and the soul gem necklaces. I had problems with all of them. The Animal Crossing ring just oxidized so fast and it snags on EVERYTHING. I was sad but I thought maybe it was due to improper care.
However, I bought the Homura ring next (which came with many delays, although I understand given the pandemic) and it gets worse. One of the gems fell off and I had my partner email support and they told him they couldn’t do anything because it’s almost been 2 months since it’s been delivered. I had just gotten the ring and barely wore it because I wanted to preserve how beautiful it was! Interestingly, I look up reviews in the past who had even older items replaced for free. Then the same issues persisted, the constant snagging and the deteriorating quality. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. I stopped wearing the rings. I felt I couldn’t reach out to support considering they already denied my request.
Lastly, I bought the soul gem necklaces. The necklaces held up better than the rings did, but I still had issues. The necklace would get tangled extremely easily, it would cost me a lot of time to just untangle them. At some point I just gave up and never wore it again. As much as I wanted to love Bisoulovely, the quality wasn’t there for me. I can’t help but be disappointed.
Low stars, but because of Kickstarter frustrations
I have been following this brand for a few years after having a teaser design recommended to me in my twitter feed and instantly fell in love. I don’t make a lot of money, so I’ve had to be selective about what I get — not to say their prices are wild at all. I personally just need to be responsible with my finances.
They tease a giant D&D inspired jewelry set on Kickstarter and not only am I in love, they offer early bird discounts and I finally am able to justify buying a few pieces for myself.
The pandemic ruined every business, and understandably Bisoulovely takes a terrible hit. They close here and there for safety, there’s massive delays — it’s a bad storm at a terrible time. I am, and it seems many others too, are fine with the delays.
What personally frustrated me was the lack of transparency.
This campaign ended June of 2021 and the initial updates right after it ended were informative and timely. Then after the July 30th update, we don’t get another update until September - and from there, at a glance, there are monthly updates. But actually reading through, the updates themselves are not as transparent as they could have been.
Between not having the kickstarter updates advertised anywhere else outside of KS itself - supposedly due to their audience mainly being on KS - supplemental updates were given on twitter still by Bree herself that felt very passive aggressive and borderline accusatory.
1. After explaining why updates weren’t given on twitter or instagram, why were more supplemental updates given on twitter?
2. I imagine getting complaints and attacked from individuals who don’t understand delays is HARD and I can excuse wanting to rant.
However I will say, at least once, it seemed uncalled for. One of our issues was an update explaining in one line of text that packaging might differ due to shortages and delays.
That’s sad for those of us who wanted what we were advertised, but Bree complaining about people vocalizing their worry about not getting what they wanted just felt awful. It is just a look, granted, but without knowing the inner workings of the business how can customers be faulted for assuming the only packaging we were shown was not guaranteed?
Not only that, but during that rant she revealed the exact specifics that, if included in the original update it was first stated in, would have answered A LOT of the questions being asked in the campaign update and comments.
Just a secondary irritation, it was also insinuated that people were demanding answers right away — that wasn’t true. Questions about what exactly would be different about packaging and how jewelry would be shipped were posted immediately after that update. A week went by, with NO responses at all on Kickstarter - before Bree went on that twitter rant and finally clarified what we were asking about.
Now on March 18th, there’s another rant that pops up in my feed, and it’s about people complaining that it looks like the Kickstarter is a low priority since they continually advertise new products and have other drops fairly regularly. Those people clearly don’t understand the importance of advertising your brand and trying to keep the attention of customers in a world full of competition.
I empathize with Bree and the business. I cannot imagine the nastiness they’ve received across their platforms and in private emails. But I wanted to write this to show my experience as someone who did understand, and in my opinion, the way this Kickstarter was handled was, plainly, not well.
If we had been told to expect monthly updates around the middle of the month as soon as delays were evident, if we had been told EVERYTHING in regards to what to expect when things were finally starting to ship out - and it was done across all social medias JUST IN CASE those of us who backed were more active on twitter or Facebook or instagram — I think a lot of the frustration and disappointment myself and several others have experienced, wouldn’t have occurred.
All that said, update 13 finally had the details that previous updates lacked. Nothing specific was promised, just things that really gave a good idea of the business’ struggles and where they were at.
I hope for the best for the rest of the fulfillment of this campaign. But I hope some of us who aren’t blindly praising - those of us who do have some valid criticism even if it’s in the middle of unwarranted nastiness - are still being heard and that if a big campaign is ever planned again, the communication will be even just a little bit better.
I ordered 3 pairs of earrings on…
I ordered 3 pairs of earrings on 11/27/2021 and 30 days later I have not received any earrings. I have emailed them numerous times with no response. Their website states 1-2 weeks for packaging and 1-2 weeks for delivery. I’m not sure what to do at this point except file a problem with my cc company to get $ back.
Still waiting for a response:
I ordered an item for Christmas and it has not arrived. No one will even respond to my emails. I need to know if it is going to come.
Beautiful pieces
Over a little longer than one year, I’ve placed 20 orders with this brand and I’ve always been so pleased. The customer support goes above and beyond for me the few times that I have reached out. Each piece comes as described and is so beautiful. I feel heard whenever I reach out to this team and I’ve been continually blown away by their loyalty to their customers and their kindness.
Wonderful jewelry, wonderful customer service
I am, all things considered, relatively new to jewelry as an interest. I never particularly gravitated towards much outside of a few sentimental pieces - but having coming across Bisoulovely's work for the first time this summer, I was really struck by the delicate and fun designs, and gave them a try. Since then, I have made several purchases from their site, and have had nothing but great experiences, and loved everything I've received.
Everything has arrived safely, with tracked shipping and in excellent condition - well-packaged, and sometimes even in pretty wrapping or with extra special presentation as a nice surprise. The designs themselves are fantastic, and everything looks even more beautiful in person. The quality is very high - and while I am a careful wearer, especially with plated pieces (remove for handwashing, chores, etc), I have had no problems on any pieces with fairly regular wear.
I also want to take a moment to shout out their customer service - not only have they been super responsive to issues flagged, at one point I was even contacted directly by a support person who took the initiative to touch base with me about something they thought they might be able to help with - nothing but positive interactions with their staff. Also, as a fan of healthy labour practices, I really respect that they're open and vocal about their team's work hours and limits; if I'm going to shop somewhere, I'm happy to shop with a small business, and one that understands the value of work/life balance. I'll continue to shop with Bisoulovely for as long as they're doing their thing - they do it extremely well.
Always a Great Experience
I've been buying jewellery from bisoulovely since 2020 and I have never once been anything less than completely happy with my purchases and I've made over 10 separate orders. The thoughtfulness and quality of the designs keeps me coming back time and time again.
Shipping estimates are clearly communicated on the item pages when purchasing and once shipped, every item arrived to me in pristine condition.
Please keep up the amazing work bisoulovely, I always look forward to your new releases!
Great team, great designs, great products
I have been a loyal customer since 2019 and I sincerely love all the pieces I've come to own.
They are unique and beautiful designs made with quality parts - I make an effort to wear at least one or two pcs every day to make my purchases worthwhile and I have not had an issue with how long the rings/necklaces last.
I am diligent in taking care of my pieces, as I know they're plated and I want them to last. (For people new to jewelry, the pieces are plated, not solid gold --unless specified otherwise. Therefore, requires different care) They have very fair prices for the quality of work and materials they provide. I've had a lot of people notice when I wear Bisou pieces vs others as well.
I've come to speak to the Bisou team every once in a while and they are absolutely lovely and a pleasure to work with. It's incredibly inspiring to me that for a team of less than 10-15 people, they are active in their responses and fulfillment. I placed an order every day of pink week and noticed they had anywhere between 500-1000+ orders each day, which is absolutely incredible. They are a small team and a small business with huge dreams and hearts, so please do not treat them like they are a mega-corporation.
