Avoid this company at all costs.

According to Times of Malta (June 24, 2024):

- The firm was at the center of a large-scale investigation into an alleged Russian-Eurasian criminal network.
- Customers of Blackcatcard, speaking anonymously, reported being unable to withdraw funds since the investigation began.
- Police conducted searches of the financial entity as part of an international investigation into alleged money laundering.

Unfortunately, I wired €1,000 to my Blackcatcard account at the beginning of December 2024 without first researching the company online. The funds were not credited to my account, nor were they returned to my original bank account.

From my sending bank's perspective, the payment was processed successfully. However, Blackcatcard appears to have retained the money. Despite their claims of issues with SEPA changes—a story they've repeatedly used with customers since the start of the year—the funds were not refunded, as would be expected if such issues were legitimate.

I plan to file complaints with the police and the Maltese Financial Arbiter financialarbiter com mt and strongly recommend others do the same if you have also been defrauded by this company.

One year without real iban. Promotions don't work. CS can't help. Nothing positive to report. 0/10 rating. I think BC is one of worst...

I have asked for alternative solutions or ways to go on in this case, but...."you are sorry", it really doesn't help at all. I'm sorry too, that i just cant click more stars for you.

Scam - stay away!

Don't give money to this shady company. Their services don't work, there's a concrete risk you'll lose your money, and customer service barely speaks English and just does copy-paste from some template they have. Luckily I left them as soon as this started to become clear. Stay away!

I needed a fast EU bank card

I needed a bank card that could be opened quickly with a minimum of documents. I googled Blackcardcat bank. Registration was quite fast - my account was activated in about half a day. For some reason, I saw a lot of negative comments on social networks, but I still decided to check this bank. Actually, after activating the per post a little more than a week later. I immediately activated bonuses for the account balance, replenished the card and that's it. I read that some users don't have SEPA, and I don't know what this is connected with. I have a European IBAN in the application, to which funds are transferred to me without problems. You can also top up via crypto - it's directly in the app. I'm satisfied with it, so I've been using it for 3 months and have already received rewards for the account balance 2 times! Let's see what happens next, but I haven't noticed any contras. The card is accepted everywhere, it works in all ATMs. The only thing that is disappointing for now is that there is no way to add a card to ApplePay! Guys, we are waiting for this option! Thank you!

Black RAT Card Bank

This is not Black Cat Card.
This is Black RAT card.
Careful with this bank! I didn’t put any money inside but they never sent me the debit card and they asked me to pay for another one!
After this I came here and saw all the bad reviews.
I decided not transfer any €.

I requested a bank account opening on…

I requested a bank account opening on 17th of July 2024, It was not successful and they informed me that they will need some additional time (error in the system) to complete my request. Over a month and a half later there is still no information regarding my case. I contacted them again today, and the answer is literally the same. I guess my account will never be opened. I asked them today to cancel my request, but they said for account closing I need to contact them via email even tho my account was never opened. Please do not waste your time with this company, there are much better financial institutions that can help you open up an account and get a card (Revolut, Wise, Genome, Bilderlings and many more). When talking to their live chat, it seems like the robot is talking to me, even tho it is supposed to be a live person.

blackcatcard.com SCAM. Doesn't withdraw funds.

Warning: Avoid Blackcatcard at All Costs! This company is a complete scam. After depositing funds, they block any attempt to withdraw them. I've personally lost $5,000 to their deceptive practices.

The supposed 'SEPA issue' has been ongoing since May 2024, and their crypto services are also restricted—they welcome your deposits, but withdrawals are blocked. Not sure if the card works, they refused to issue me a card.

If you've been affected, I strongly encourage you to write a review and file a claim with the financial ombudsman. Our collective efforts can help shut down Blackcatcard's fraudulent operations.

I'm not including any links to avoid having this review removed—just google for the financial ombudsman in Malta.

From November waiting my money.

From November waiting for my money.

They blocked my account because a transfer from myself for amount of €180.
They said I can be a terrorist financier or a launderer of black money (180 euro from myself to myself) . After this stupidness I asked to close my account and send to my bank , the money in my balance of Blackcatcard. I don’t had my money in Christmas, I don’t had my money in Easter , I don’t had my money in summer , and , still waiting for my money, because they think I m financing Russia War sending 180 euro from myself to myself.

No mater the argument, they only try to don’t pay. Also I asked about go to spend holidays in Malta and visit the office to ask my money in my hands. Answer: No possible, they will don’t pay !

I have a claim to the inspection of the Central Bank of Malta , and they told me have a lot of problems and claims against this banks. I must wait a little more , and if don’t have solution, the bank will be closed definitely, the Blackcatcard assets will be seized to pay to the customers. Will see how many time need …

Meanwhile, Attention! No one must send money to this big scam. Have information about this bank can be owned by some Russian man and only catching money to everybody to finance Russia. This is not official information, but already I read this in different journals.

I registered an official complaint at Office of the Arbiter for Financial Services, Malta.

BlackCatCard Compliance Officer is involved by the arbeiter.

The response from the blackcatcard compliance officer :
We confirm that I am a client of Papaya Ltd. The
current status of his account is listed as "in closure." We regret to inform you that we are
unable to process the closure of an account that currently holds a positive balance.
Your request for account closure was submitted on June 12, 2024, and our policy requires
that accounts with positive balances be resolved before closure can be completed.
What I mean here is that we must allow you to withdraw your funds first before initiating the account closure. Otherwise, you would not be able to access your remaining balance. So be sure none of your rights has been violated.

They are scammers. Be aware.

They are scammers. I created an account in March and I was unable to top up the account because they have been freezing the IBAN accounts of all clients since March. The crazy thing is that they have not suspended the 6-month clause that imposes a fee of 15 euros for each month of inactivity. They created a big issue and they claimed that I paid the fee. Obviously, I immediately closed my account. Be aware that they are scammers.

Regarding service fees:
Dormancy fee occurs if a client has a Blackcatcard account, but it’s been inactive for over 6 months. We do our best to provide the best pricing to our clients, and you know the maintenance of your account is free for a client. However, when an account is inactive, its maintenance costs us money, which is unsustainable for us in the long run. If you don’t use your account — there is always an option to close it. In this situation, we don’t force you to pay a dormancy fee.

Horrible

I dont understand how this instituion can have a licence to run a banking company nor how they can be Binance’s partner. EVERYTHING I ran into with this company - there was a problem. I have NEVER experienced so many difficulties BY FAR. I’m convinced it’s a scam. T E R R I B L E experience.
