It started when I first notified Blackhorse about the issues with my car and Stoneacre Derby. I was contacted by a very rude man called Alex who never explained to me the process and just wanted to argue with me.

Weeks went past with no communication from them. I called many times to try to get an update and when I did finally get through the complaints team were a waste of time.

Eventually I received a call from Danielle who seemed to be helpful and understanding. She promised me an answer by Monday 1st September. Two weeks later. (obviously not as helpful as I had hoped)

I called many times yesterday and when I did get through I was put on hold and then cut off. I was expecting a call back but this did not happen.

I have now received their decision and they have not upheld my complaint which I am astounded by as the car was sold to me with a breaking system warning light and they have told me the car is still drivable.

I don’t believe they have looked at or even read every point in my complaint and taken the side of the lying dealership with no evidence.

The car was miss described as it said it had Car Play which it does not.

They have sold me a car with worn out brake pads. Then lied to me, telling me they have been replaced by putting their hand under the wheel arch which it is not possible to gauge by doing this, the pads have not been replaced. This has been confirmed to me when a sales person called me trying to sell tyre and brake insurance (the irony). Looked on the system and the pads were not new. Stoneacre head office told me that every car is serviced before it is sold but they have managed to miss/ignore a warning light and not check buttons that do not work or scratches on the door.

I assume they are happy for me to drive around in a car that is potentially a risk to me and other road users?

The final nail is that Blackhorse have promised a resolution by Monday and I am still waiting.

STAY AWAY FROM

Someone committed fraud, by taking out finance in my name. Black Horse knew who it was and refused to investigate the matter. Instead they chose to apply a default and close the case. They also refused to engage with the financial ombudsman and provide clear details by blanking out information.

I had a loan twice with Black Horse Finance. I’m happy with the service. They gave me a loan when I needed it. My only issue was when I settled the loan the bank made an extra payment on both separate loans. It has taken over 14 days to return the money back to my account.

Am now onboard with them but am hoping it’s smooth if not am back here to give my critical analysis. So far so good am just watching then keeping my evidence

Can't be specific, because Black Horse couldn't be specific either, about something in a letter sent to me at the end of their agreement 🤣

Clue: it involved money...in THEIR favour. LOL!

Missed one payment in 7 years, have had multiple calls from them with bots to call them. Called them several times but no one answers,the system just goes around in a circle,got a letter about missed payment, no bank details included to pay online! This has affected my credit score which was perfect.

Quick and clear process that was fairly simple to complete. Prompt follow up welcome message containing useful information in a short, easy to understand visual presentation. Something new to me and probably very helpful to people getting there first loan.

Got my letter through the post for the finance of my new car. Can't login because I put the wrong details in (absolutely did not)... the slogan "here when you need us" is a joke. 9 to 5 Mon to Fri. I work during those hours. No other way to get support in 2025?

I didn't know it was that easy to secure a finance. Every detail was explained to me and I had options to choose from.

My uncle tried to pay my loan off, had to jump through hoops over the phone setting up a password. Took forever. I phoned up offering to give the password and they refused to take his payment in case of ‘money laundering’. Bizarre. Also now my loan is paid I can’t log in to my account to view the settlement.. but can’t get through on phone.

Absolutely a bunch of work at home chanchers have no customer service skills whatsoever stay away

Well... they accepted me, so that's a good start.
Simple questions; only took one email to the dealer, and we're good to go.
APR is good, and I can pay early and save interest, which is what I do anyway.
The welcome video is excellent, and it's personalised - how good is that?

I looked up my loan settlement which was £5215, payed £252 looked up my loan settlement again and it went up to £5263! Absolutely disgusting. I've since settled the loan with no explanation as to why it went up. All through the loan the settlement figure was always less than the loan amount after I had paid my monthly repayment. NOT happy.
