The moving team was really professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend Black Tie Moving Services.

Black Tie quoted us around $1,800 and confirmed the move was consistent with the scope discussed, yet charged us around $4,000. The crew lacked basic equipment like straps and dollies and worked so slowly that I had to personally help finish before nightfall. They made excuses that were untrue.

Brent, Robert and Felix were absolutely wonderful to work with. They did such a great job at wrapping up my furniture and getting it carefully loaded and unloaded from the truck and set up in my house. I also want to note their customer service during the scheduling process is also amazing. I had to reschedule my move twice, and both times they were so kind and understanding and got me rescheduled. Will absolutely use Black Tie Moving in the future.

I was really disappointed with the experience. I didn't mind that the service window was delayed, things do happen as a day goes on. What I didn't expect was two young men, one thin and one hefty. I expected two strong men to handle my three very heavy 75 lbs. each, mirrored chests. The two just barely got them up the one flight of stairs without incident. I pray that they haven't caused themselves personal injury. I was told that the chests would get extra wrap because of the mirrored surfaces- they weren't. The thing that took the cake was the fact that the workmen did not have a box cutter to remove the cardboard. I had to supply it! This is in no way what I expected from a company with the name "Black Tie Movers" The website sounded so professional I didn't look up any reviews off of the site- my mistake. The workers were very courteous. I'm at least thankful for that.

The entire crew were great, so careful, polite. Couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you to them 🙂

Both Miles and Jeff were excellent. They were curious and careful. They made sure items were wrapped well and secured.

Moving is supposed to be stressful, but not this stressful. Before they even showed up, I was worried because you really don't know what it will cost to move. It is all an estimate and hourly rate. Both crews just did not really care about any of my belongings at all. I have so much damage to furniture and broken items due to the careless packing and stacking of boxes and lack of covering on my furniture. It felt like they were there because they needed the work, but were not respectful of my property at all, even when I mentioned it to them. It was the most unprofessional company I have worked with ever. I have used a local company for all my moves since I was in my 20s and I am now in my 60s, and I went with Black Tie because of a recommendations from a trusted friend and I thought they were a local business. Both were wrong. I should have used the old tried and true. I have learned a valuable lesson the very hard way.

The team of Devon and Kyle made it great! They work hard, are very pleasant and mannerly. They did not break anything and were willing to put items where they belonged. However, their manager Mason was not very helpful. He would not come out and look what we had or how large our apt. was. Therefore, our price was raised $600 from what was quoted originally.

The crew who came to help pack us and load, taking home goods to storage were incredible. And they did it all in the horrible heatwave in Texas. How they were able to fit everything in our 10X20 storage unit, I have no clue, but they did! On time, professional, careful with our things, and the 3 of them worked as a team.

One thing to be mindful for - once things were in the storage unit their office called for payment right away, and do ask if you want to live a tip. I was totally OK with this as those guys really worked as a team.

I was told I would get a final detailed invoice and thought I did not. I was frustrated as I had to ask several times. I was sent another email which took me to a page that said contract. Today from that page I clicked on estimate. That is where all of the detailed information was. That was confusing for me, and wanted to share.

Overall, it was a positive experience and appreciate everything they did for us.

Your moving methods were superior, your employees were perfect gentlemen, friendly and so pleasant to work with. I will certainly recommend Black Tie Movers to everyone!! Thank you for taking such excellent care of me!!

This is the second time I’ve used Black Tie Moving and they made a stressful day much easier for me. They take a lot of safety measures ensuring nothing would get broke or scratched. Arrived on time and were very courteous.
