It sounds like one of the strings internally may be off/warped causing this issue because it should be able to pull straight down as long as you are using two hands on the bottom bar to pull it down. Beautiful Custom Window Treatments & Exceptional Service from Chris Madara in Whitehall
First, I want to mention how very pleased my husband and I are with the color combination of the roller shades and drapery we selected! Chris Madara, the sales representative and designer from the Whitehall, PA store who visited our house, suggested the Manhattan Café au Lait roller shades. They harmonize beautifully with the Hayes Pearl and Nara II Snow draperies, our hardwood floors, the brass hardware, and our walls. The sunlight flows through and adds such a warm, inviting touch to the rooms—exactly as I had visualized from the start. Thank you, Chris!
While the full home project took over a month and a half to be completed and installed, I noticed upon closer inspection that all four rods and a few brackets had surface scratches and non-tinted areas where the underlying silver metal exposed through the gold finish. This manufacturing flaw is the only reason for my 4 out of 5-star rating for the order itself.
However, when I brought this to Chris’s attention, he immediately offered outstanding support and has maintained proactive communication to coordinate replacement items with the factory. Chris’s dedication to customer satisfaction is exceptional, and his professional service receives a well-deserved 5/5 stars!

A person came to measure to ensure my measurements were correct, then ordered and installed after a few weeks. It took about 3- 3 1/2 weeks. It was great. Highly recommend Blinds to Go
