Not to be trusted

These guys sent me an email saying they would not ship the glasses I ordered until I paid extra for a lamp that i did not want. This company may produce good glasses, but they are extortionists and they suck.

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam.

Before placing my order with BlockBlueLight, I reviewed their return policy to be certain of the terms. I took a screenshot of the policy section I read, which clearly states that returns are accepted within 30 days, with the buyer responsible only for return shipping. There was no mention in that section of restrictions for sale items. Based on that information, I proceeded with a large purchase.

When I attempted to return the products, the company informed me that sale items are only eligible for exchange or store credit. This directly contradicts the return policy I reviewed. After further investigation, I discovered that the company has multiple versions of its return policy scattered across different parts of the website, under different headings, with conflicting and inconsistent details. The layout gives customers the impression that the section they are viewing is the complete policy, when it is not. This is misleading and deceptive.

The products themselves were also disappointing: the light bulbs do not sync properly, the glasses feel cheaply made, and the overall quality is far below expectations. Because of both the product issues and the misleading return information, I requested a full refund based on the policy I relied on at the time of purchase.

After researching further, I learned that other customers have experienced similar issues with this company’s customer service, return process, and product quality. This pattern raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of their business practices.

Paid for Expedited Shipping only to get the Slowest Service

I had bought items over the holidays (Thanksgiving) and they were delayed for weeks and weeks. We received our Xmas lights after Xmas. Customer service took no responsibility and made no offers of any concession. Fast forward to March 2025, I ordered a birthday gift for a friend and paid for expedited shipping that was supposed to be 2-3 business days. It took 6 business days to get from SC to TX. My friend is no longer visiting and now I have to pay for shipping "again" to send to her home. Customer Service, again, took no responsibility and made no offers of any concession. The package was shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. Customer Service told me that: "USPS Ground Advantage is indeed a reliable option for expedited shipping." It is actually the cheapest and slowest option USPS has other than Media Mail. So, buyer beware. They offer expedited shipping and gladly charged for it, but they wouldn't actually send it expedited. I clearly didn't learn my lesson the first time.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Nia is incredibly unhelpful, condescending and has no business being in customer service. She repeatedly ignores concerns and repeats nonsense from the same script over and over. Do not recommend, buy elsewhere.

Book of Laptop light

Great light, take it travelling wherever you go. Three types of light for whatever strain your eyes may be under. Attaches to iPad or laptop easily. Small design but a powerful light. Highly recommend, thank you.

False advertising, their bulbs are high EMF, not "low EMF"

They advertise their bulbs as "low EMF". I hired a certified Building Biologist to evaluate my home for nnEMFs, and to my surprise, the bulbs from Block Blue Light (their "Sweet Dreams" bulbs and their BR30 "Biolight" bulbs) all produced high amounts of Dirty Electricity (one of the four primary EMFs that are of concern for human health), whereas other regular incandescent and LED bulbs in my home did not produce excessive levels of Dirty Electricity. I purchased the bulbs in October of 2024 directly from Blockbluelight.com. T

The same Building Biologist I had hired asked if he could have one of the bulbs so he could perform further bench tests on the bulb, so I gave him one and he posted the test results to Youtube. You can find the video on youtube by searching "Blue Light blocking Sweet Dreams bulb creates massive Dirty Electricity exposure".

I reached out to the founder and owner of Block Blue Light on 1/8/25 and shared with him that their bulbs were not in fact "low EMF" as advertised, I included the video I mentioned above from the Building Biologist, and I asked for a refund. I received no response, so I followed up again on 1/15/25 to the owner and founder as well as included their general email inbox for the company and I stated once again that I wanted a refund, and that if the did not respond, I would reach out to regulatory agencies and file a complaint for false advertising. I never heard a response from Block Blue Light so I filed a complaint with the FTC for what seems to be violations of U.S.C. §§ 45 & U.S.C. §§ 52 as well as the California Department of Consumer Affairs for a violation of Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17508.

If you bought their bulbs because you were concerned with your health and the health of your family, and were excited to find a "low EMF" bulb that wasn't just normal LED blue light, then you have been deceived. I would encourage you to seek recourse with appropriate regulatory and/or enforcement agencies in your area for materially misrepresenting a product / false advertisement.

I purchased the block blue light lamp…

I purchased the block blue light lamp with different modes and a dimmer for $89.95. I was mainly interested in the modes and dimmable feature. I am disabled from the Marine Corps, and I am l light sensitive, especially in the morning. The total order was, $89.95 for the light, $5 for the shipping insurance, and tax, which came to $109.95. The modes worked but the finger touch slider for the dimmer function worked poorly. Sometimes it wouldn't recognize the touch, and it was not a smooth adjustment. It seemed to have around three settings in the dimmer and when you would slide your finger the brightness would jump all over the place. In other words, you got what you got for brightness if it didn't change again when you pulled your finger off, sometimes going to full brightness before you could back it off. I contacted them to return it and hadn't heard anything, so I sent another email the next day, and they responded saying that my return authorization was accepted and that they would send instructions. I got their next email with instructions that said, no refund for the original $5 shipping insurance or taxes that were originally paid, and I would have to pay for return shipping with tracking, as they said they were not responsible if the box was damaged, lost or doesn't arrive back to them during the return process. The shipping with tracking number would cost me a minimum of $15 or more. The refund would be $89.95. My original cost of $109.95 minus the above items would be at most $74.95 or less in actuality. As other reviewers have stated their return policy is one of the worst that I have seen. I have purchased from them in the past, but I will not purchase from them again. I have decided to keep the light only to stay in the box and be put on a shelf, out of principle because I am not willing to take the loss on the light. I am also afraid, maybe I'm wrong, that they would sell it again to someone and possibly double their profit. Read the reviews on independent review sites such as this and buyer beware.

Unfair Return/Refund Policy

I purchased an item on Black Friday that was 25% off and wanted to return it for a refund. According to their returns/exchange policy, items purchased at reduced prices during sale periods where a sitewide discount code of greater than15% is used cannot be refunded. One can make an exchange or receive a store credit.
I don't think this policy is fair particularly when it pertains to Black Friday and the holidays. Customers should have the option to receive a refund, make an exchange or receive a store credit.
