Don’t make the mistake of signing up with Bluegreen. After years of being a loyal customer, I reached out to discuss exiting my membership. Their "solution" was to demand thousands of dollars just to... See more

I wish I could give BlueGreen Vacation…
I wish I could give BlueGreen Vacation Club zero stars. Words fail to express the level of exasperation I have felt due to being tethered to a timeshare contract with BlueGreen. Despite clearing our mortgage and always keeping up with maintenance fees, we cannot break free from these financial shackles.
The sad reality is that our hard-earned money seemingly means more to BlueGreen than our satisfaction or well-being. The funds we've poured into this black hole could have been invested in several genuinely enjoyable vacations. Unfortunately, we are stuck in a ceaseless cycle of expense and resentment, thanks to BlueGreen’s customer-unfriendly practices.
BlueGreen, it is high time you reevaluate your business practices and put your customers first. The basis of any successful business is customer satisfaction and fairness, both of which seem to be missing from your handbook. Release us from this costly contract. It simply makes no sense for us to keep pouring money into a service that only results in constant frustration and discontent.
Scam.
Scam.
A sales pitch in Cabela’s went like this.
Pay $199 for a resort vacation for up to 4 people, get a $50 Cabela’s gift card on the spot. Attend the 2 hour time share presentation at the resort get a $150 Visa gift card.
The reality…. Paid the $199. Got the $50 Cabela’s gift card. Tried to book the vacation, they put you in a hotel half an hour away from the resort. The accommodations for 4 people is a single room with 2 beds.
Get to the resort for the presentation and they want a credit card. They don’t tell you that it’s to verify you have credit and they only need to see the card, not copy it or run a charge hold on it. You have to call the customer service line to find that out. At check in they tell you it’s a second form of ID and it has to be a credit card. A drivers license and passport aren’t acceptable.
Once that is complete the manager comes out, he was aggressive and decided that because I needed the explanation about the credit card it “wasn’t a good fit” and I wouldn’t be permitted to attend the presentation. And because I couldn’t attend the presentation I wouldn’t be receiving the “gift” of the $150 Visa gift card.
It’s a complete SCAM. Run Away

I was told by these lyers that I had a til end of the month to start a payment plan on my maintenance fees .I called before the month was over they said they sent them over to collections on 27th.i had 3 days left before end of the month so I called to pay and they added $400 additional dollars on when I met the date to pay. They are very nice to get you to purchase at sales center but rude and lyers on the dues side.My timeshare is completely paid off I am been treated a certain way because they are not making money off me with interest so they tried to screw me on maintenance fee department. BUYER BEWARE I WOULD NOT PURCHASE BLUEGREEN.
Don't Waste money
I was contacted a year ago about buying a 3-night stay at any of the bluegreen resorts. I told them multiple time I was not interested. They lowered the cost to around $160.00. I asked the lady if this would be for ANY of the resorts which she responded yes (listed all the Resorts that are on the website.) I then ask if I could book at a later date because I was unsure of where I wanted to go in which she responded as long as you do it within a year of the purchase. I called in the correct time frame after researching and finding a place in Aspen I wanted to go. I called the number on the website and the lady informed me that I could not go to that location. I told her that I would like my money back then since I had been told I could go to any of them, and she said that she couldn't do that either. the list of places she gave me weren't even on their website and when I told her that I was seeing other locations she told me they don't even have resorts in those places. (The places I was giving were on the website.)
DON'T WASTE MONEY
I would for sure get a list of the locations emailed to you before agreeing to anything. They clearly have people that just tell you whatever to make the sale then the customer service team doesn't do anything to help you.
PS I didn't go to the locations that she did give me I just counted my loses because I didn't want to travel somewhere risking getting lied too again.
I purchases a vacation through…
I purchases a vacation through Bluegreens when they called and offered an amazing 4 day package, paid up front and immediately booked my reservation, 11 months ago...when I got my itinerary confirmation it didn't say anywhere that I booked an ADA room...so I called and was told I'd be sent a confirmation...12 months later an extension and numerous calls they still cannot confirm in a timely manner my reservation and room and it frustrated me so much I canceled my reservation. I kept requesting a refund and once you pay, you're done....no chance for a refund. They are not trustworthy with $299.00...can't imagine ever signing a timeshare with them. Scams....all scams, first place ever that you are not entitled to a refund. LESSON LEARNED...0 stars
Waste of time
Waste of time, they do promotions that you have to meet a requirement for but they don't tell you this upfront, so you get excited about a vacation and learning about their packages just for you to not qualify and waste your time. Don't waste your time with them!
YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AS AN OWNER! DON'T DO IT!
STAY AWAY!!! We are incredibly frustrated with our experience as timeshare owners with Bluegreen. Despite numerous attempts to reach out for assistance, our messages have gone with no reply. The few offers we received quite a while ago were ridiculous and have led to nothing productive since. The annual maintenance fees are becoming an overwhelming burden, increasing every single year, and pushing us toward a financial grave. It feels as though Bluegreen is indifferent to our struggles, demanding payment no matter what, with little regard for our circumstances.
We've tried to exit the contract, but the entire arrangement feels like a scam. We don’t own any actual property—just the illusion of ownership. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase with Bluegreen to stay far away. What seemed like a dream has turned into an exhausting and financially damaging nightmare.
This is the biggest scam and they lie…
This is the biggest scam and they lie out their butts to get you to sign up. Told us if we didn’t use it we get our money back. when asked to get my money back. they refused. Do not sign up! Save your money!
This Company is awful
This Company is awful. We actually had intentions of purchasing when we first signed up. We scheduled our trip to go to the presentation. Unfortunately we have suffered some financial setbacks due to the economy and I having to take 3 months off work to have spinal surgery. We still went and told our “salesman” up front what our situation was and that we were only there because I could not afford to pay for everything if we no-showed. I am a disabled veteran and he actually pretended to be a veteran himself in order to establish a rapport but his “stories” didn’t add up. When I continued to tell him that I wasn’t able to purchase at the moment and would be able to in 6 months. He said… and I quote “ Clearly you came here to mooch a free vacation. I don’t care about your situation and I don’t need your business.” I immediately told him where he could shove his business and we walked out. They use lies and high pressure tactics to basically force you into buying. I’m thankful that I had these financial setbacks as I now realize that was the Lord keeping me from making a horrible mistake. These people are vultures and evil caring only about their commission. They will stop at nothing to get you to throw away your hard earned money and get nothing in return with almost zero chance of getting out. Stay away from Blue Green!
Just an all around bad experience
Just an all around bad experience. 1st getting approached at Bass Pro. We now cannot even go into the store without getting approached. #2 calling to make reservations and trying to get someone to call you back. Very poor response. We then tried to reschedule our dates. that cost $50.00 AND again terrible communication. #3 arriving at registration. No one, and I mean no one was friendly. and of coarse they were there trying to up-sale things. #4 the place we stayed was not at all the "nice". It was just "OK", the linens were cheap, bedspread was DIRTY, one of the 2 toilets not working. Going to the seminar was the WORST. They say that they are not a "hard sell" and they will accept a "no" for an answer. THAT IS NOT TRUE. they are pushy, pushy and will not take n for an answer. They also take advantage of older people. No one in our class was under 55. It is all about the commission for these people and they will take your entire savings if needed. Do not trust any of them.
scum bags
They told us we could bring our dogs and when we tried to book our stay they said we could no longer bring our dogs. We asked for our money back and they told us we were past the allotted time for a return. They are a bunch of scum bag scammers and I wouldn’t go with them ever again.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I can't believe I fell for the "Sample" package! They said they would reach out for the first owner's meeting to attend before you can use your points. The first time they contacted me was one your after the purchase so I lost a whole year of being able to travel with 24,000 points. My points expire 8/31/2024 and I still have 20,000 points to use so I basically am out $2,500! Found out that summer travel is even more restricted and you can only travel to 6 of 16 locations in the summer and can't use on the weekends nor holidays! I would have NEVER signed up for this if they would have told us during the meeting or time of purchase. I just called them to see if I can get an extension and I can't.
My first and only vacation to use points was to St. Pete Beach in Florida. Booked 8/11/2023 for trip 1/8/2024-1/12/2024 and was never told that there would be construction on the roof of the building. I was on floor 6 of 7. They started the jackhammers on the roof at 7am every day and stopped at 5pm every day. The sound and vibrations were coming down the outside wall. I filed a complaint with Bluegreen Vacations while I was there and never got a response.
10,000 Thumbs down to Bluegreen Vacations!
SCAM
I am a bronze owner. Biggest regret of our lives. We can't make a reservation because we're questioning $2k maintenance fees for properties listed on Priceline and Expedia for CHEAPER to the public!!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM! WE'RE GETTING A LAWYER.
Be careful!
What a scam. After reading all of these reviews, I decided to not use the 2 night stay and save my sanity! I will never walk back in another Bass Pro without looking over my shoulder for the salesman that sweet talks you into these things. Shame on Johnnie Morris for allowing this in his Bass Pro shops. I tried to cancel, no, then they tried to switch it around to a hotel where it's still more money out of your pocket. Sad, very sad!
I wish I would have read these reviews
I wish I would have read these reviews. We "drank the Kool Aid" and signed up. Wanted one week a year and the "points" were supposed to make that happen. Had that feeling and dug in the data - many resorts were not accessible to us and for most, we had to travel in January or November. Several statement were not outright lies but very on the edge of truth. We challenged a couple of the promises at closing. I should have known they were bad when all the paperwork was not professional - so many bleed overs on the copies. The financing would have you pay twice the price even with great credit. Luckily at closing I had honed in on the cancellation period and we are sending the letter tomorrow to cancel this scam. We had high hopes but realize we would have regretted it after all the freebies expired
please be aware
please be aware. after got charge $199 for vacation. promised no hidden fees. then charge another $605 after vacation. this company is a big liar and scammers.
Bluegreen Vacations - Bait and Switch Scam
I am not sure who I am more upset with Bass Pro Shop for allowing them to sell in their store or for listening to the lady and believing her because she was in Bass Pro Shop. We bought the 3 night 4 day stay based on the lady showing us the New Hampshire Lodge to stay in and see the leaves change in October. She showed us pictures of the lodge, rooms, etc. so of course we thought we were staying there, and the guy even threw in a $50 dollar Bass Pro card as a kicker. What more could you ask for since we would be getting a $150 American Express Card when we went for the time share speech which would cover the $199 we paid. We called to make reservations today and found out that no we are not staying at the lodge but a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn and the representative, Christina actually called me a liar when i said the lady representative at Bass Pro showed us pictures of the lodge and told us we would be staying there when we went. This group is nothing but a Bait and Switch Scam. I want my money back but I know we will never see it.
I have not stayed at one resort yet
I have not stayed at one resort yet. So, I cannot complain about that. What I can tell you is that I have spent nearly $40,000.00 this year and all I want is a written statement that shows my payments and details of how they are be applied. They are great signing you up and that is the best service you will ever get. I am tired of being put on hold or someone telling you that you will have to
call customer service. I have a record of all of my payments, and we are nearly $15,000.00 different and of course it is to there good. Plus, everyplace I tried to book is unavailable even as far as a year out, which was the reason I upgraded so I could book 13 months in advance. Almost a member for a year and 0 vacation days with Bluegreen.
This company is just a scam
This company is just a scam. They never confirmed my hotel, and sent a random address which is not even associated with a hotel to check in. They had something called preview at the bottom of the confirmation with a hotel that was not even the one I selected. I called to cancel add they deducted $100 as penalty. I’m filing a claim with my credit card.
My husband purchased this Bluegreen…
My husband purchased this Bluegreen Vacation in January of 2023. Immediately, I questioned the person who sold it to us about the expiration date. The paper showed 1 year, but he (the seller at BassPro where we bought the plan) said he fixed it for 2 years. That was the 1st lie! During the 1st year Bluegreen Vacations continously harassed us to make a reservation. I finally made the reservation just to stop the harassment. Today I tried to cancel the reservation (2 months in advance), because of health reasons, and they want me to pay a $49 fee for cancelation, which was not told to us AND is not in the paperwork.. I've already paid $249 for the package! This company and method of doing business is bad news folks...DO NOT INVOLVE YOURSELVES WITH THEM, AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. If you engage with them I guarantee it will cost you much more in the long run. Very unscrupulous people!!!!!!!
