We had a great experience.! Strongly recommend.!!!

This was the best thing we did while visiting. It was so much fun, we learned a lot - I highly recommend going.

We had an awesome time with Samson. The fishing was incredible (we caught lots of cod, haddock, and coal fish), and the scenery was beautiful. Saw lots of wildlife, including puffins on the ocean and lots of arctic terns, as well as sailing through some ocean caves. Samson gave us a great history of the area, with personal touches given he grew up in the town where we fished. The meal with had with Myrna and Kristian afterwards was equally great (and delicious, with local delicacies for appetizer, our fish for the main course, and homemade ice cream with rhubarb for dessert). Highly recommend the fish, visit, and dine experience - the highlight of our trip to the Faroe Islands.

Samson is amazing! I can’t recommend this experience enough. We were beaming all day from the views, to the company, to the fish! It was a day we will cherish and remember forever! Thank you!!!

Great experience! We took out two daughters on this trip and they are still talking about it. Everything was very memorable - the views while on the boat, the hosts, the stories and history, not to mention we caught many fish. After fishing, we had a great meal (of the fish we caught and other local foods), hosted at a nearby residence. I very highly recommend this trip!

Samson provided a great experience for us! We spent a beautiful afternoon learning about where he grew up. We learned about local birds and fish and a bit of the history of the area. We caught so many fish that we could keep to prepare for dinner. He prepared a snack of sandwiches of dried lamb sausage and cheese, which we enjoyed floating peacefully in a sea cave.
It was our favorite activity of the trip!

We had a wonderful day with our three children on the boat. We did fish, explore, see and learn about animals and have a great time.

Good and accommodating guide who knows the waters and who finds good fishing opportunities. The coast and wildlife can be experienced from the sea. The trip is well divided between fishing and sailing.

Me and my family spent 2 great days on tour with Mt Samson. On the first day he took me and my son on a fantastic fishing trip on which my son discovered his passion for fishing mostly because of Mr Samsons enthusiasm, knowledge and interesting stories.
On the second day he took the entire family on a roadtrip with spectacular views and even more interesting stories. Thank you Mr Samson for this great experience !!!

We booked a trip as part of our honeymoon. We originally booked a fishing trip and dining experience but due to bad weather that was no longer possible. Boat.fo got in touch quickly and offered us another fishing trip on another day.
It was a highlight of our honeymoon! Samson was a fantastic knowledgable guide and he helped us catch some great fish. He taught us so much about the Faroes and we loved the experience - recommend!

We booked this tour as a way to end of our Faroe Islands journey and it did not disappoint!

Samson was great at finding spots for us to fish and we were rewarded (maybe too easily) with fish the moment we set our hooks down. His expert steering and understanding of the waters also ensured my seasickness did not act up at all during the few hours we were out.

The meal we had at Frida and Poul’s was like dining with old friends. We were treated to traditional dishes, as well as the fish we just caught!

Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested. You will not regret it!

If you are wavering on whether to book the fish and dine experience during your visit to the Faroes do it and you will definitely not regret it! Even if you don’t normally go fishing it is something everyone will enjoy and no experience is needed. Samson made the fishing trip so much fun for both me and my wife and was the highlight day of our wonderful week in the Faroes. I felt like the fishing also connected us to the history of the Faroes with so much being tied to fishing and the sea. We were even treated to an incredible experience of seeing dolphins in the fjord as well! (very rare!) Samson is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and made us feel so much “at home.”

Samson then passed us along to Myrna and Kristian to prepare the cod and haddock that we had caught. The traditional Faroese cuisine in their house was so wonderful and they truly treated us as welcome guests in their home. It was such a great way for us as tourists to connect with the local culture through this experience and sharing a meal together.

We stayed in Torshavn and used a taxi to get back and forth to the experience so you don’t necessarily need a car to to do this.

Thanks Samson, Myrna, and Kristian for a wonderful experience that my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives!

From the very start our experience with boat.fo was positive. It was easy to select and book the trip that we wanted to do via the website. When we arrived in Arnafjordur we were impressed with how organised and prepared the equipment was for the trip. This emphasised the professionalism of the company.
Our guide, Samson, was friendly and welcoming. He shared his knoweldge and experience willingly and told us stories about the area.
We had a beautiful day for our fishing experience which meant we were able to visit some sea caves as well. These were amazing!
Something that really impressed us was the care and consideration Samson took with the fish we caught. He treated them respectfully, making sure all parts of the fish were used and there was no waste. This meant a lot to us and demsontrated the commitment to a sustatinable travel that is detailed on the boat.fo website.

We were originally scheduled for monday morning, but the weather was not good. Samson called us to inform us and kept in touch to finally reschedule us for Thursday afternoon. We had a great day on the water with breathtaking views and caught a lot of fish. Samson told us some stories about his life on the Faroe Islands and interesting facts about the local wildlife. He even brought snacks and warm drinks for all of us.

It was an unforgettable experience we would totally recommend!!

Samson was a great captain that took us out for an amazing fishing trip. He know exactly where the fish were hiding! The sights were amazing and I'm so happy we got to see the beautiful islands from the sea as well. It really gives a perspective. I had high expectations and this trip exceeded every single one.
