Appaling service. Constantly lied to over an order I placed in MAY and have still not received anything. Avoid like the plague. There are better shops out there making vastly superior gear.

Perhaps the worst company iv dealt with... !!!AVOID THEM!!!

I ordered a torch from them just over 3 weeks ago (Surefire 6P - not expensive but certainly not cheap). After 5 or so days I noticed my order was still 'processing' however the money had been taken out of my account. So I shot them an email asking why this was. I got no answer. I waited a couple of days to give them the chance to see said email and respond before calling. I called and was given an 'it will be on the way soon'. It didnt arrive. After a couple of days nothing had changed, so I called again. This time I when i asked I was told that X person who deals with orders was out and they took my name and number to call me back. No such call. I called again today and was met with more excuses, they're in a meeting. So I waited 45 minutes and called again. No one picked up. I waited another 20 minutes, no one picked up. I tried one more time, no success. Needless to say this company may have been good once, 5 years ago but now its a steaming pile of crap. AVOID.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to submit a review.

I ordered a belt which was going to take 7-10 days for delivery. Here I am 3 weeks later with no sign of the belt and no update on when it will be dispatched. I have phoned numerous times but the lady I speak to is no better than an answer phone and can't tell me what is going on. She assures me that someone will get back to me but, alas, nothing. I have emailed to request an update and requested a full refund if the order cannot be delivered in time for my imminent deployment but still nothing. Now it seems that my calls are going unanswered and I will have to contact my credit card company to recover the costs.

You have been warned.

Placed an order in April 2017

Placed an order in April 2017, initially all seemed good very helpful getting the order sorted. It's now July no belt only excuses. Told on Saturday order dispatched would arrive Monday. Asked for tracking number on Monday told it would be emailed by Tuesday morning, telephoned Wednesday afternoon told by the person answering the phone sorry I can only take a message and pass it on. Asked for the name of the person who would be dealing with it, told sorry can't give you that. Asked to cancel order, told money would be back in my account in 24 hours. Not holding my breath.

Shocking Customer Service!!!

Ordered a CT belt from intelligent armour after an email enquiry which was answered promptly. £64.44 incl delivery was taken from my account immediately and I awaited my belt.
10 days later it had not arrived so I sent an email which was answered straight away with an excuse of them having staff issues and computer stocking problems (similar excuses given to previous customers judging by their feedback).
I made them aware it was required for my work and I was assured it would be looked at ASAP.
A further 10 days went by and another email sent which was not responded to. Another week and I call and speak to Alex who repeats the same excuses but assures me he will look into it and contact me the next day.
Unsuprisingly the contact failed to materialise and so I contact them to cancel the order. Again no response from IA so I file a complaint with the my bank. I then receive a full refund but still no contact from anyone at IA with an apology or another excuse.
Quite shocking customer service and very unprofessional.
They were quick enough to respond when I was a potential customer but once the money was paid they ignored my emails and calls.
I foolishly took a chance despite the poor reviews, a mistake I urge you not to make.

The worst customer experience I've ever had

I was a returning customer and I had previously recommended this company to other friends. This is the first and only review I have done of a business and I feel that other customers have a right to know how this company views and values it’s customers. Quite simply, the worst transaction and customer service I’ve sadly encountered.

I ordered a belt on the 14th December 2015 and the money was taken from my account on the 16th. I was working away at the time and tried to chase up this order 3 weeks later on my return as I hadn't received my item.

After numerous unanswered phone calls and emails over the period of a week I decided to open a dispute via PayPal about the item. 4 days later I received a phone call from the owner of the company saying that there had been a clerical error on the website and the belt would be made the next day and shipped ASAP. I explained that I was leaving the country again 8 days later on the 29th Jan and he promised that the item would be with me before I went and I would receive conformation when the belt was shipped.

I received no email and so decided to drive down to the business premises over an hour away on the 28th Jan to find out face to face where my product was. I was told that the item had been shipped the day before on the 27th and was in the post to arrive the day before I left. While I traveled back home after this visit I received an email saying the item had been shipped.

Once again, I didn’t receive my item and so left back to work without it, frustrated and lacking an item that I had paid for almost 7 weeks before.

Checking the tracking number given to me I can see via the Post Office that the item was really shipped on the 1st Feb!

I had travelled down to the business for answers and was lied to face to face by the owner about the order.

I will never use this company or any other company related to this one again and would encourage anyone else to do the same. Yes I’ve been happy with their performance in the past but to be constantly lied to including face to face after I've taken time and money to go and see them about something is unacceptable from anyone, let alone a paying customer. Half the time, if a mistake is made we’d all be happy with the truth and a sincere apology not further lies.

Avoid at all costs and use a business that values its customers.

Poor company

Ordered from IA. kept ringing and emailing the company but did not receive a reply. Eventually received the item I had ordered but it was off poor quality. When rang company to ask about my refund, company owner hung up on me. Would not use company again.

I see that Intelligent Armour (IA) have replied to my original post. Saying "not really quite true". Well lets look at my scoring of the company. IA did not respond to emails till after I had asked for a refund. IA hung up on me twice during telephone conversations. IA sent me a poor quality item for £43 ish pounds of my money. One star seems a fair rating.

As for the comment "challenging to deal with", lets look at that. I order a bespoke black/red belt from IA. Please... no laughing at my colour choice. :-) They charge my credit card straight away. Then I hear nothing. I send emails to the company but they are not responded to. I try ringing them on the numbers off their website, no answer. I eventually get through to IA. They inform me that they weren't happy with the first belt they made for me so they were going to make another and it would be dispatched that afternoon, no it wasn't. Again went through the period of hearing nothing. Sent another email with pictures from another company producing similar belts, to inform IA of what I was expecting, again heard nothing, anyone seeing a theme here?

Eventually I receive the belt and was immediately disappointed with the quality of the belt. I was very happy with the colour, I know what you are thinking "weirdo". I showed work colleagues and friends the belt in order to get a second, third and fourth opinion. They agreed with me that the quality was poor. I emailed IA informing them of my concerns, heard nothing. I sent the belt back to IA via recorded post, heard nothing. Then went back to the game of ringing IA and seeing if anyone will answer. After three days of trying I spoke with the owner of IA and told him I wasn't happy with the belt. On hearing this he hung up on me. I kept ringing back and spoke to the owner again, asking when I could expect my refund, he replied "30 days" and hung up on me again!!

Since then myself and IA have been bouncing emails back and forth. They have said they will give me half my money back, roughly £23 once they take off their cut for time and materials. IA have informed me to contact Trading Standards over the remaining money. A court appearance is really where I want to be for £20. You too can be classed as challenging to deal with. All you have to do is pay your money, have your emails ignored, be hung up on during telephone conversations and then not accept IA`s attempt at making a bespoke product for you, its easy. I wouldn't have minded the "challenging title" if I had been nasty in any of our correspondence. If fact I`d have been quite proud of myself.

IA state on their website in relation to their bespoke service, "if you want a different colour thread, we can do that", well they obviously can`t. My advice would be if you want to order something bespoke from IA, ask them to email you pictures of the top quality bespoke cobra belt in black/red they made for me. Or if your in their shop ask to see it. If you are happy with it then spend, spend, spend. If not carry out a Google search for another manufacturer, I will be.

Answered 1 of 5 emails

Ordered from them on 13/2, payment taken immediately.
Despite 5 emails, and 2 calls that went unanswered, I still have no order.
The one answered email said the item had been despatched that day, but still nothing 2 weeks later.
I have no confidence of ever receiving an answer, nor the product.
I'm in the process contacting my credit card provider for refund.

Update:-
Within 12 hours of posting this review I had a personal email from the CEO apologising for the service I'd had, promising to investigate fully and to personally ensure my order was processed. 24 hours later the item was delivered along with a another free item by way of apology. Whilst it should not have been this drawn out, the actions of the CEO and the prompt way in which he dealt with the issue once aware of it has gone some way to restoring my faith in this company. I would consider using them again.

A fast friendly and very professional service, excellent to see British company supporting British Troops.

It is great to find a truly British company designing and developing in house equipment that meets and satisfies the needs of the British Troops on Operations. The fact they deliver to BFPO addresses and quickly is great. They understand the need of the guy at the front and their equipment is of excellent value without the stupid price tag that normally matches high end kit.
I will use Alex, Virginie and the team time and time again.

prompt and reliable service.

I ordered a small item of kit ( a HK Sling Loop) from IA after already owning a couple of tactical belts made by the firm.
The item arrived almost overnight and was of the usual hi standard of material and manufacturing that I have come to expect from IA.
A very satisfied long term customer.

Quick service, not great communication.

The website is easy to follow, stock is perhaps a little limited though the quality is very good of the stock that is present.

Communication is not great, sent an email commending them on a product but no reply.

Would use again, but won't expect any banter with the staff.

Great kit, excellent service

Purchased a Y sling - gave it a try out - excellent kit made in the UK which is a selling point for the quality and durability of the item. Helps knowing I'm helping UK industry against forgein imports.
