Missing item, damaged parcel, and no response from customer service
I ordered four dresses from Boohoo in November 2025. When my parcel arrived, it was damaged and resealed with brown tape, as shown in the courier’s photos.
One dress was missing. I immediately contacted Boohoo via WhatsApp and email, providing all details and photos.
Almost two months later, I have still received:
•no refund
•no apology
•no proper response
Boohoo makes it very difficult to contact them. They do not provide a phone number, and they ignore messages on WhatsApp and email.
This makes it extremely frustrating for customers who have paid in full and received incomplete or damaged orders.
Such behavior is unacceptable and should be investigated under consumer protection rules.
Resolver confirmed that Boohoo has not replied to my complaint.
I strongly warn other customers to be careful when ordering from Boohoo, as their customer service fails to respond and resolve issues properly, and they make it very hard to get help.

I have been a long term customer of Boohoo and recently they seem to have changed their return approach it seems. And scamming people out of their money. I returned my items and received email that my jacket has been received at their end. I have always received payment in my bank account as I pay through apple pay. And this time they seem to send me an ‘e-gift’ email which I did not receive or selected as an option. Their chat bots and customer care is useless as nobody responds for ages and they don’t seem to know what’s going on or if they do they are being clever about it. I still haven’t received my refund and I am now beyond annoyed because I don’t know what to do.

Boohoo took two payments for my order and have ignored me for almost 8 weeks. Both of my banks confirmed the payments were fully settled, yet Boohoo keep insisting they only received one. I’ve sent statements, transaction IDs, and even a formal complaint — all I get back are template replies and no action.
I’ve now escalated this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and Citizens Advice because Boohoo have refused to investigate or refund a clear duplicate payment. Shockingly poor customer service and zero accountability.

Ordered 4 items from Boohoo in November for next day delivery. One item took 3 days to arrive.
I returned 3 items. Refund took 25 days. Tried to contact customer services, via email, messenger and Facebook however very difficult to get any response. I got one email that told me to give it another 5 days after the initial 21 days had passed.
I was asked to send parcels separately as returns with 2 separate labels and was charged £1.99 for each parcel. Information is misleading as at time of purchasing your informed that it is only one payment for delivery regardless of number of items.
However it is only when you go into their returns it states that each parcel is charged at £1.99 for returns. I kept one item that I purchased which cost £11 and paid £11 on delivery and returns charges.
People should be aware of the cost which is very expensive.
Customer service is shocking. No one responds and automated reply tells you if you keep e mailing replies will take longer.
I won’t use Boohoo again.

I bought a pair of boots on 31st December, I still haven’t received them, the tracking hasn’t moved since 8th December, contacted customer service and she was so rude, said I have to wait till the 19th!!!! I’ve contacted today which is the 19th and still no refund, impossible to get in touch with, shocking service.
I used to rate this company but I’ll no longer be using anymore, there are much better companies with good customer service out there.
Update- I’ve had an email to say I will be refunded, but only for the item so they have kept the £3.99 delivery fee for an ITEM I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED, this company is a joke.

Boohoo’s customer service used to be great and they were always so helpful; I remember a time when everyone raved about how great the service was from Boohoo. Something’s changed either with their process or the actual agents themselves because Boohoo’s customer service is now the worst service you could get, it’s terrible. I have Premier yet keep getting charged for delivery. Wether you contact them by text or email, you’ll be waiting over 10 days for a reply. All I get back is “copy and paste” responses, saying my premier has expired when I’ve purchased new one. I won’t be using Boohoo anymore. No-one is helping me and they’re just repeatedly giving the wrong info

This would be a zero if possible!!! I ordered shoes at the beginning on November which were out for delivery with Evri straight away however, almost 3 months later they have still not arrived. The tracking information on Evri supports this but I cannot get a refund processed.
I have used Boohoo for years but will never shop with them again after this experience. Several communications with the useless chat bots and I was asked to fill in a disclaimer and upload which it wouldn’t allow me to do despite several attempts. I sent proof of the issue I was having with this to Boohoo and now no one is responding to me.
I paid £70 for these shoes and in my opinion this is theft. I will be escalating this further but not holding out much hope that I will get my money back. Please avoid shopping with Boohoo at all costs!!!

Do not use this company. Their customer service is absolutely abysmal, in fact non existent. You cannot speak to an operative, you only get AI responses via chatbot, email (again AI generated) or WhatsApp. Have been trying to resolve an issue now for the last 3 weeks and am getting absolutely nowhere. Cheap, nasty, tacky goods by a cheap, nasty, tacky company. I would say their customer service was also like this, by it just doesn’t exist, Please take my advice and don’t use them

I have shopped with Boohoo for years and have never had a issue with buying and returning goods. Until now with their new updates.
Goods were bought 16th November and returned 18th November. I did not get confirmation that they had received my return nor processed a refund. It was only when i contacted customer support IN JANUARY (which is only via sms or facebook messenger with extremely slow replies) that i was told by a bot (not a human) i was issued a refund onto a gift card on 21st Nov. I did not select this option nor receive this supposed gift card.
My return tracking number shows the items were received on the 24th Nov. So the timelines of this refund and the completed return to do not make sense. When i raised this, it was ignored.
As with many of the reviews below, customer service goes round and round in loops. My email did not get a response at all and they stopped responding via sms after three massages. In all instances i made them aware i did not select gift card and i reject a reissue of it, requesting a refund to my original payment method.
When i referenced section 34 the consumer contracts regulations 2013, (Boohoo are bound to reimburse consumers for payments, using the same payment method as the consumer) their support officer ‘Hayden’ copied and pasted the message he sent before (that once a return method is selected it cannot be changed - even though i didn’t select it) then ended the chat leading to another ‘our customer service team are busier than usual…’ message, which starts the process again.
I have since requested a charge back with my bank as Boohoo will not take me seriously as a consumer.
Their customer support has hit rock bottom, with more and more customers complaining about the same issue and reducing the ways we are able to contact them to resolve problems.
Boohoo are clearly using this pre selected gift card return option to scam consumers and rake back money.
I will not be a returning customer, despite having Boohoo premier - which is ridiculous in itself that you still have to pay for next day delivery (another thing that has been changed to the detriment of the customer).
Everyone should AVOID using Boohoo unless they are happy to be scammed.

This company is an absolute joke. Been waiting for a refund since 6/1 still not received. Have emailed, whatsapped, messenger. The replies I have received ask the same question over and over again. They want order no email address etc. takes them days to respond. And when they do it’s the same question again.

Also got a call from a scammer relating to this. He wanted me to download an app called “world remit’ and wanted me to use a password he gave me. This app is to send money abroad. BE VERY CAREFUL !!!!

Boohoo received my return, yet I was never refunded. After chasing this up, I was then told that a voucher code had supposedly been emailed to me instead of a refund — except no such email was ever sent. I’ve checked everything: inbox, spam, junk, promotions. Nothing.
So to be clear: Boohoo have my returned items, they have my money, and I have received absolutely nothing in return.
This feels incredibly dishonest and borderline theft. Customers should not have to fight this hard to get their own money back, nor be told emails were sent when they clearly weren’t. There has been zero accountability and no resolution.
I will not be shopping with Boohoo again and would strongly warn others — if something goes wrong with your order or return, expect stress, excuses, and no refund.

Update: I reached out to the customer service email and also the email for the CEO that I found on this page. I listed off every refund I was owed and was clear on my issues and what resolution I would like. After about 10 days I heard back from the escalations team and now have all of my refunds, including the one that was apparently selected as a gift card that they have now cancelled and refunded back to my bank as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ (it was their mistake fyi). I’m still leaving this as a 1 star review and am never ordering from boohoo again, but updating to show it is possible to get it resolved.

I stopped ordering from boohoo last year as their refunds took about 4 weeks to get back after they received the item and I was constantly chasing.
Over Christmas I saw a few bits I liked and still had my premier delivery so took a chance and did a few orders. Turns out premier delivery isn’t next day now too - not great!
The refunds have taken forever again, and 2 out of the 4 refunds that I have received have been credited back to a gift card, when I most definitely selected for it to go back on the card I paid with. I thought the 1st one was my error and it was only for £12 so I left it, but when the second one came through and I know I selected original payment method for that, I started looking online and found out so many others had this issue!
Needless to say, once I get my other refunds and this is all resolved, I will not be ordering from them again.

Scam gift card returns
Absolutely horrendous - scam gift card returns.
Pretty much have stolen £500 from my pregnant wife over the Christmas period as she was hoping to find a nice maternity dress which are very hard to judge online.
Customer service refuses at every turn to help. Automatically selecting gift card return rather than money back to the original account is a clear violation of consumer rights
