Nothing Short of Psychotic Insult

Have just sent them the following account of my horrific encounter of today in their location at Champlain Centre mall, Plattsburgh, NY:

QUOTE
Sadly, today, Sunday, 4 October 2020, you lost not only a potential 150-175$ sale but all future sales to me and those who I will share my experience with (in person and on social media).

I was insulted beyond description this afternoon in your Plattsburgh NY store, unnecessarily, almost unimaginably, but more than most certainly, unforgivably!

For the first time in about a year, I was able to get to Plattsburgh (kept away due to health issues, primarily) and was SO looking forward to browsing the fascinating books on local history that the store carries. I'd chosen 3 that I looked forward to reading over the coming Winter and was about to add a few Adirondack patches to my selections when I was “greeted” by your “sales clerk”. At first, we exchanged pleasantries, and I explained that I'd been in the store about a year ago and was delighted to see that it had succeeded.

She noticed that my face covering was below my nose and I explained to her, kindly, that I find it difficult to breathe when my nose is covered due to my current battle with lung cancer (which, according to protocol, excuses me from ANY face covering, you will note), and she immediately raised her arm, in a frantic frenzy, waving me off with her hand and, literally backing away toward the store exit yelled “You'll have to stay away from me!!!”

In my 65-plus years on this Earth I have NEVER been so disrespected, witnessed such psychotic behaviour from a sales clerk or any other person, for that matter! And I had previously been in other stores in the very same shopping mall prior to my visit to Bookburgh, with-out ANY confrontation of ANY sort.

Rest assured, I'll be “sharing” today's experience with others, personally and on social media, as well as with my health-care associates, to the very best of my ability. It was, to be polite, repulsive as well as shocking and abusive, and, as I've said, unforgivable. How DARE she? How DARE YOU? Utterly inexcusable!

This incident will NEVER be forgotten and though I've never been the sort to wish harm, business failure or other ills, I cannot find it in my heart to wish you and your store ANY success. Thank you for hiring what appears to be a representative of your “business ethics”, sickening as they are, and do rest assured, you'll receive appropriate “advertising” from me, as often as is possible. Others deserve to be aware of the psychotic hate they risk when walking into that store.

Most sincerely,
&c.
