the service worked fine and I got the books without problems. however, the fact that you automatically get signed up for their 'membership' without explicit consent seems like one big nasty trick.

I cannot support this type of businessmodel - it's despicable, and borderline cheating.

It's terrible, Bookfamily is such bad, you have to be very careful about their terms, especially for foreigner, you don't want be member, but it's automatically, if you don't know that or you forget, your money will be automatically deducted per month, you even don't know that,

Even you write to them, it's a error, they will not return your money.

Good books in a vide range of themes. I would like to pay only, when I bought books which means, that I don't like paying for being a member as here!

Bookfamily is a subscription scam.

They sneak in a line of subscription after you buy the first book and from that point - you pay 100 kr. per month directly from your debit card and not sending any invoice so you can notice you are paying. If you don't notice on your bank records - you will keep paying.

a request for refund was entirely denied.

Bookfamily tricks you into buying a subscription for their "book club" which you will have to cancel within the first 7 days if you don't want to pay 99 DKK / month for nothing. Make sure you cancel!!!
Otherwise a regular web-shop selling regular books for regular prices and ok delivery times.

Concealed subscription agreement - bought a single book, but did not notice an automatic subscription.
