Impossible to cancel subscription, unethical business practices

I purchased BookingWP as a one-time WordPress plugin. A year later, they charged me again for a “subscription” renewal.

The problem is that there is no way to cancel the subscription from the user account, even though their own terms say it must be done there. There is no cancel button, no management section, nothing.

I emailed them multiple times before the renewal date asking to cancel. They never replied.

Because of this, the charge went through anyway. Even my bank confirmed that without a proper cancellation confirmation from the merchant, they couldn’t help.

This is a classic dark pattern:
• No cancellation option
• No customer support response
• Automatic renewals you can’t stop

This is not transparent or fair, especially under EU consumer rules.

If you’re thinking about using this plugin, be careful. Buying is easy. Leaving is impossible.
