Not what it used to be.

I first used BooTea around 4 years ago and had a great experience, really helped me lose a few extra pounds. So now in the run up to my wedding I decided to try again. I can tell you it doesn’t seem to be the same company or product as it used to be!!
Firstly it arrived in an unmarked package, no presentation box as I received before, plain white packaging with a sticker slapped on and no ingredients listed on the pack. The whole thing felt cheap. I was worried I had received a fake and contacted customer services right away and was assured it was real and “Over the past few months we have been trialing shipping our products without the outer box to do our bit in reducing the amount of waster packaging used by online retailers globally.” (Personally I would have stuck with the cardboard instead of more plastic but there we have it).
Secondly, the tea had absolutely zero effect. I did everything I did the first time around, aside from adding to my bloating rather than reducing it the tea did nothing at all for me. Not even so much as a mild laxative effective with the evening tea.

I used to think BooTea was fantastic but can’t say I recommend it anymore.

It’s been over a month since I ordered…

It’s been over a month since I ordered my products and I haven’t even received it. The person I dealt with on the other end has been of absolute no help saying to me “it’s out of our hands” because it’s been dispatched. So I guess, once they send it, it’s no longer their problem so you have to just hope it gets to you.
I’ve used this product before and it’s good (when you actually receive it) however, the company and costumer service is terrible.

Used product for several years!

I have used bootea for years now. I recently ran out and have just received my started bundle for 32.99 which contains 14 day teatox porridge oats, green shake, and multi vitamins. If your looking for a magical fat loss then this isn't for you, however if your looking for reduced bloating, gasiness and water retention then this works a treat! The packaging is lovely.. The tea tastes ok but does the job. I would say to take the night time teas at about 6pm, ready to use the toilet first thing in the morning. I hope this helps you. I love bootea!

Great Customer Service & Products

Great products, site navigation easy, lovely packaging and super friendly customer service. Had a bit of a problem with my order (just like anything online, these things happen) and got in touch with their customer service. Aside from the timely responses from Jean, I was impressed with their friendliness and the outcome. They solved the issue quickly and went above and beyond. Highly recommend both the company and the products! Will definitely purchase again.

Causes fainting, vomiting and upset stomach

It made me so so so ill the first day after using the night time tea, I didn't sleep well at all and then in the morning I was really sick on the toilet and then fainting periodically throughout the day. Really wouldn't reccomend this at all as it obviously wrecks havok on your whole digestive system!

Love it!

I'm not day 4 and so far, SO good. The day time tea isn't the best tasting (that's why I put 4 stars), but the night time tea is delicious so it makes up for it!! I also got the multi-vitamins (do NOT take on empty stomach). They have a weird taste, they make me nauseous if I take them without eating, but they give me a ton of energy. I've really enjoyed my experience so far, I feel better overall and feel like this will leave positive results. I would 100% recommend this to friends.

Nice but pricey

Love the taste of the tea and porridge. Liked the old berry shakes not tried new ones. Lost a few pounds but was too expensive to continue.

It's a con

I bought 28 days bootea course for my girlfriend when it came I notice that the day bag had 26 tea bags in there and the night one had 17 when I email them the respond was that the night one only has 14 bags in and to drink every other night and they never said anything about the day one so I emailed them back saying it dosnt explain why I should of had more in my bag then and less in the other one so they said to send a photo of the packs which I did no respond any way I would not recommen this to any one there is no phone number and when you email them it takes forever for a respond so they can shove there tea bags where the sun don't shine it's to dear and not worth the hassle

Teething problems

I ordered from Bootea, but when I received my package it wasn't my order. I sent an email with my complaint and was a little alarmed at discovering there was no phone number! I went online and saw all the bad reviews and ultimately thought the worst, as you do. However, I needn't have worried, as within 24 hours I recieved a polite email apologising and asking for a photo of what I received plus a photo of the packing slip to conduct an investigation. I sent them a pic of the package but couldn't send a pic of the slip as their staff didn't include one. Within 24 hours I received another polite and courteous email apologising once again saying there would be an investigation and my package would be sent out to me as soon as they had investigated what had happened. The only niggle if I could find one, is that they didnt let me know that they had completed their investigation however, and the 1st I knew is when I received an email from the delivery company telling me the date of delivery! Within a week of ordering I had what I ordered. I'm sure with the volume of orders they get mistakes do happen, and mine was dealt with as swiftly as they could do so, and with the utmost of courtesy, so I would recommend.

Poor Service

Order my first bootea subscription a month ago, was fully aware it signs you up for a monthly subscription so ensured to leave myself a note to cancel the subscription after my order came.

The order came, was quite happy with everything, cancelled the subscription, last week I get an email another is on the way, contacted custmer service sent it back no problem, however when I tried to get a refund for the £8 delivery it's cost me they didn't want to hear any of it.

Tried being very polite the entire time, asked for a number for head office (now is my third time asking they keep ignoring the request and telling me they have no record of me trying to cancel it, accepting no fault).

Really unimpressed with this service, thought the company and the item was alright (definitely not worth £30 though it's ridiculous so wouldn't have gone back then before anyway!) so unhappy. Will contact head office with a complaint as soon as I get a number.

I have heard you can make your own bootea tea bags with most the ingredients from Holland & Barratt, going to give this a go if I ever feel the need to do it again! I highly suggest everyone else do the same!!

Poor service

I bought a 28day Teatox at £34.99 and they had an offer of a free cup with this Teatox. Except, the cup hadn't been dispatched. So I contacted them for a return address so that I could return the first order and reorder the same Teatox but add the cup to basket in order to get it for free. All fine, customer care sent me a return address and as soon as the first order arrived I put the return label on it and sent it back recorded.

A few days later it had arrived and was signed for, no contact from Bootea. A few days later still I emailed. I sent many emails of a period of more than 21 working days, wth customer service team asking me to resend, reconfirm etc etc. It was like getting blood from a stone and in the end I googled my rights and quoted it to them and I finally got a refund. However, I was only refunded £31!!?? So once again I am emailing back and forth to get the remainder of my refund which they claim was deducted for shipping costs, despite me paying it. The total of my original order came to £38.98.

The are useless and come across as a business who has no idea what they are doing and clearly don't communicate with each other well let alone the customer.

I've shopped with them before having bought maybe 3 or 4 teatox boxes in the past but now I am truly fed up with them and won't go near them with a barge pole.

Shamefull 'company'

I finally got to send my two orders back and put it on tracking after reading previous comments on this site: it was signed for three weeks ago and I have sent them 6 emails and not heard a thing as they are purposely ignoring me. Please can anybody help with how I go with finding legal advice? As if rather work with the same company that has dealt with that god awful 'company'

I ordered a purchase, day after it was on sale so I bought it again in order to take back the full price as they wouldn't offer me a discount. Not too bad...they arrive and I want to send both back now. Went to the post office and they refused to send back without a returns label. Iv emailed Bootea.com SIX times asking about this, each time they sent me a script with just the same address. They did not answer my question once in their response. Now they are ignoring my emails. So annoyed with them. Their 'customer service' is an absolute disgrace and they are just plain ignorant, money grabbing people. Just wondering how to go about taking this further with trading standards? I saw a message posted re requesting legal advice, please may I ask how it's gone? I am not taking this lightly that's for sure. Thanks.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

I ordered the tea for a boost to my weight loss before my wedding. after not receiving my order in the 24 hours promised on the website I called the courier who were next to useless, i then emailed BOOTEA to chase the order. After weeks of too and fro it turns out (as I already knew) my parcel was lost. Instead of offering to resend my items I was made to wait around while Bootea were compensated, I raised the point that none of this was my fault could they resend my items ASAP so I got to use them in time for my wedding. I asked for phonecalls to no avail, As the other reviews show I also had a terrible customer service experience, If my emails were followed up at all it was days and sometimes weeks later!
If you really want to try the tea (which is laxatives in a tea bag) buy it in holland and barret or boots DO NOT ORDER through this company!!!!

No refund, contemplating legal advice

Purchased the item and due to unforeseen personal circumstances I was unable to retrieve the item, hence I requested the item be sent back from its pick up point and returned to the depot. That request was sent on the 20th of August and still no sign of a refund...item has now conveniently gone missing.

Each email has taken a few days to be answered and often in the middle of the night....do not feel my custom is valued and the response to my emails do not usually address the questions I ask. Am contemplating legal advice as there appears to be avoidance tactics in order to save money and receive the item.

One of the worst cases of customer service I have ever witnessed, with a flagrant disregard for my consumer rights.

Havent got my order, its over a month ago

I ordered a 14 days detox the 7th of July but 2 weeks later I still haven’t seen any package. It turns out that it has been delivered to another person, 30 kilometers from my home. I don’t know the person and of cause after over a month of writing back and forth I wanted my money back, because it’s a lot of money for me when I am studying. But they won’t give me my money because they are investigating the case. I won’t give up but I would like to warn others. And if you have to order tea do it elsewhere.

Being ignored and no refund

I have had a terrible time getting any response from bootea UK. I have waited over two weeks for a refund of my unopened unused package. They emailed me back finally after I had emailed 3 times and asked for my tracking number and the return address, both of which I provided. I have since not heard from them and seeing as they have no telephone number and only one email address which says they should contact you back within 48 hours (which they haven't more than 3 times) the only other option I had was to post on their Instagram page. Again I was ignored. I would not recommend this company or this product as they have both my money and the product I ordered and therefore they are a very shady company with awful customer service I have reluctantly given them even 1 star) Please do not purchase anything from them, you will be wasting your time and your money.

Terrible customer service ..

Ordered the milkshakes as a birthday present, but the person had already been bought them, so thought returning would not be a problem. I have emailed 4/5 times, each time waiting 48 hours for a response, and have not heard anything back from them..

Never received goods

I ordered the 28 day bootea and was told I would receive the goods the next working day.it is now well over a week later and I have still not received anything. I am now not getting any response from the company at all via emails and there is no contact number for them.The service has been awful and I am now left without the product I have paid for.

Hope Everything Gets Delivered

Had significant issues with BooTea, they are impossible to contact with no phone number and just one email address, they're incredibly shoddy to purchase from. My problems started when part of an order wasn't received - two months on my emails are still being ignored and I'm yet to receive a refund or the missing product.
The BooTea TeaTox product it self is OK, the night time teatox caused myself and some friends stomach cramps so we stopped that but the day time teaox worked great to suppress appetite and keep weight down while feeling clean and healthy. After my issues, we're reluctant to carry on with buying the product, we'd rather they didn't have our bank details in the first place.

SINCE WRITING REVIEW: Bootea have been back in touch and resolved everything, sending me the missing pack with their apologies for inconvinience and the delay. Upgraded my review from 1 star to 4!
