I wish I had looked at this site before making an order. The items I attempted to purchase on 30 July 2025 included a anti-fungal treatment which, while freely available off the shelf, for some reason needed a sign-off from the pharmacist. In my experience with Boots UK, this takes a matter of minutes. After hearing nothing for a week (delivery was due on 2 Aug.), I tried to contact customer service, but there is only an online email form that doesn't allow you to report the exact problem. Why couldn't Boots.ie send off the items not requiring a sign-off (one of which is some bio-oil that I urgently need)? Why don't I have the option of telling them at this point not to bother with the item needing clearance? Above all, why don't they have a public telephone number or a chat?
I ordered on 28th July and my package was meant to be delivered last week on the 2nd August and it says it’s under review by pharmacist - it hasn’t even been dispatched! This is ridiculous.
No response from customer care either after I emailed them!
Shocking customer care. Wrong item came. Emailed customer care to see what my options were. They emailed me back twice to say I was not the person on the account… I was! Gave them all my details , details of the order etc, still another email saying they were unable to deal with my case as I was not the person named. Rang them.. gave the same details , they were able to discuss the matter,???? however extremely unhelpful customer care staff member called Sahil , who did not give me all my options as stated in their delivery policy.
The Boots Ireland website is a disaster and I haven't had a single order work out as expected this year. Specific examples of my experiences:
My last order spent FOUR DAYS under Pharmacist Review, and it only moved when I emailed them .
That order arrived 2 days late and was incomplete, missing one of the ordered items.
The previous order also spent FOUR DAYS under Pharmacist Review. When that was eventually released, the "Pharmacist" denied my order of shaving gel, SHAVING GEL !
The order before that - the box was half open.
And with an order earlier this year, I received a bottle of hair wax that had already been used by someone else, and a bottle of facewash that looked like it had been kicked around the warehouse.
Their best action would be to take the website down, until they learn how it should operate.
Rebecca in the Jervis store was very helpful and knowledgeable and guided me in relation to different products! She was very nice to deal with!
I had the wrong item delivered. I had paid for a 400ml product and received a 150ml product.
The reason I ordered was at this particular time I was unable to get to a store that stocked the cream.
I called and emailed straight away. I received an email 3 days later saying I had to print a form and fill it in and bring it to either a store or post office.
Absolutely crazy when they made the mistake in the first place. Really really poor customer service.
Dont give them money, see through lockers i heard from all staff and spot checks daily , warnings if own money in pocket, treat staff like dirt
Expensive also, 3 for 2 is a gimic
Support local
I love their app, selection of products, and deals.
But the postage can be SO slow.
Sometimes you might get your items within a few days, and sometimes it can be up to 10 days! Makes no sense and if very off-putting.
My daughter and I went to Boots Mullingar this week to make a few purchased. One item being a repeat purchase of an item previously recommended by staff member Aisling as a gift from my daughter and husband to me. Aisling served us this week and couldn't have been more helpful and informative on products we needed. A credit to boots. We also dealt with another young staff member who was also most helpful and informative. Well done these ladies and well done Boots! Always a good experience either online or in store.
I would like to say that i got served by the most lovely girl her name is Caitlyn from carlow store very professional in her job great customer sale skills . Service with a smile. Hard to come by good staff this girl made my experience very memorable. I don't usually give reviews but this girl stood out ..
I ordered 6 items, only one was delivered. I spoke to customer service who said the items were out of stock and I would receive a refund for the 5 items. Three weeks later, Boots are saying I never ordered the items as they can't see them on their system - despite me sending them emailed proof of the initial order, the email from Boots stating the items were out of stock and the transaction from my bank. So I am now out the better part of €70 and am just getting "computer says no". Their phone customer service is also extremely rude and has no interest in helping customers at all. I understand products go out of stock, but the service I have received afterwards is genuinely shocking. AVOID ordering online.

I ordered a number of items on the
€12 Tuesday offer 3rd June. Total 72 euro
I was charged €72 before the items shipped.
Subsequently 3 items were cancelled.
No refund.
Rang customer service. Couldnt deal with it on the phone.
Had to email.
Waited several days ... no response.
Eventually got my money refunded 20th June
Never received any explaination. You would think that I was stealing €36 rather than Boots.

Woeful service
Last Thursday evening near 7pm I was in Boots Sligo getting photos developed that i needed urgently. The staff member that assisted me was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to assist me. I didn't get her name unfortunately! She was lovely and bubbly and made the customer experience excellent. I got the photos printed that I needed so I am very grateful to her for her time and help. Thank you!
I was very disappointed by this boots trip, I walk over to the lipsticks to buy one and this worker looks at me and shows me the messed up elf tester and asked “ Did you do this? “ So I reply no and she just rolls her eyes and walks away. I was having trouble trying to find the one that I wanted and I asked the same worker and she says to me “ You’re just going to have to look your self then wont you “ in a sarcastic voice, she wasnt even busy and just stood there staring at me. I find one and ask again and same reply. I was distraught as I have never EVER had an encounter like this in boots ever. This was in the Liffey Valley Boots and the workers name is Julia.
When something goes wrong there is no one worse than boots. They delivered a poorly packed parcel to me where the items had burst with liquid spilling everywhere. The courier had packed it in a bag so once it arrived I took a picture and sent it straight back with the delivery guy. Boots are refusing to refund the order as the item has still not arrived back at their warehouse over a month later but this isn't my problem as far as I am concerned. Poor service, avoid.

Ordered 23rd of April 2025. Estimated delivery 26th of April 2025. It never arrived, no courier details were given, so Boots cancelled on the 3rd of May 2025.
11th of June 2025 and still waiting for my refund. Have emailed about 10 times.
I ordered in good faith, boots took my money but didn't fulfill their obligations to me. 5 weeks of emails and have still not received my refund.
No value whatsoever lately, and the gasses thing is this company thinks they are giving you good value, I don't understand it!!! It's a laugh 😃
Way overpriced on everything,
I used to shop with them for years but in the last year or two prices have gone bananas and also they are thinking they are giving you a bargain-???
It seems to the normal for all UK companies lately, which is a pity. 😡
Order click collect. Boots gone bad never shop in boots ie On 21/05 I order online click collect date for delivery was 23/05 but on 25/05 nothing.I go in shop and ask girl in shop saying you need contact customer care, Them says you need wait 7 day. Boots Blanchardstown.
I heard about Elizabeth Arden face serum capsules. It’s four types of them. I wanted to take a tester capsules each of type to test it before to buy because I have very sensitive allergic skin prone to acne, so I buy cosmetic very carefully.
The Elizabeth Arden assistant wasn’t there three days already, so I couldn’t ask any recommendation on these serums. I took capsules ( it’s 40-80 capsules in each tester bottle, so I didn’t took complete tester) to try it at home on clean face. The boots shop assistant came to me and said I could not do it, taster for use in store on my hand. I said it’s a serum for face , what point to try it on my hand and I could not try it on the face because I have make up on. She said: testers only to use in shop. I said: testers for customers,to increase sales, I can take taster ( a small capsule from the bottle)and try it at home. She said : don’t said to me what is testers are! She also said: could you imagine if everyone will be taking a capsules. It’s for what they are there!!! At the end : I took capsules with me to try it at home but my experience was awful, I was feeling like I stole something.
To all Shop assistants - please remember that testers, examples for CUSTOMERS to try a product before to buy. I am sure the Boots will not like it if I will buy this capsules for €120 and return them after one week, saying I have allergy from them.
What a horrible toxic corporate greedy way they operated the Black Friday Sale
