Bought a Bora X Pure after being convinced it was the best indiction hob and a good replacement to gas. We have been using it for several months and it is without a doubt the worst hob we have ever had, there are lots of cheaper induction hobs that are infinitely better.
- Temperature control is atrocious, anything 5 or below does very little, above 5 burns. Zero finesse with the different heat levels.
- Noises, using it gives you a sound track of pulsing to high pitch whining.
- when using the center extractor one side of the pan remains cooler to the point that you can easily touch and the other side scalds. This stops you balancing the heat in a pan.
- Boiling water you can see the bubbles pulse up then stop and pulse back, again showing little ability to control the heat and making it hard to simmer.
All in all DO NOT BUY, especially if you like gas, this is not an alternative and not worth a fraction of what they charge for it. If we could it would be returned in a heart beat.
In relation to boras reply, our cookware is le creuset so a very good quality and solid make, so I am not sure them trying to use this as a reason for their products poor performance is valid.

Very nice hob indeed! heats very quick, water is boiling in no time. Very easy to clean.
Automatic smoke extraction: very good.
I've a version with blow-off to outside, and, in fact, the smell of food outside is much stronger than it is for the cook... amazing.
100% unhappy.
We spent over £15k on Bora this year and no end of problems. The oven trays buckle so much the tray comes out of the holds on the sides (BORA confirmed this is normal); the XBO turns itself on intermittently without notice; and the cleaning pods fail to clean as half the product is left inside. Written to BORA and were given hugely unsatisfactory feedback. Will not be buying any more of their products which is a relief as I almost bought their fridge before this debacle.
Their response to this is the metal tray is designed to buckle and be out of shape. No replacement. So there you go folks, £4k for an oven which is ok to buckle. Good luck with that.

Overly expensive, all the electronics had to be replaced after 32 months. So disappointed as we were told this was the best we could get. Also we were told our guarantee was extended by the kitchen fitter 2years plus 1 only to find this hadn't happened and Bora were not interested in the age of the appliance. Not the standard of a German appliance.
Very expensive to repair.

This is my second Bora hob. The first one was a Bora Classic: a perfect product. This time (I moved house) I was advised to buy a Bora XPure and I must say I have a few difficulties with this product.
One thing I really miss is the possibility to set the timer to include seconds (I do like a 4 ½ minute egg). May it can be found in the instructions, but I would not know where.
I have literally just started to use my Bora M-Pure. When I first tried it I enabled the interlinked fan & induction power which ramped the fan speed up and down in synchronicity with the hob power - very clever! The first thing I did, apart from checking if the pan was ferrous (magnetic) was to heat some soup! At first nothing appeared to happen. And then in a relatively short space of time the soup was boiling. Magic....!
Very happy with hob so far, easy to use. Sales and after sales has been really first class
Fitted a “top of the range” Bora induction hob in May. It has had an intermittent fault, meaning it only works sometimes. We have had an independent contractor out to check it, videoed this problem. Bora are still not willing to accept there’s an issue with their product. They are blaming our John Lewis induction pans - not willing to replace the faulty item. And being obstructive and rude in their customer service

Our XBO oven has stopped working so we have no oven emailed support 3 days ago

We have had JES out to it 3 time (JES) are fantastic can’t fault them
As for bora customer service well it doesn’t exist ATM very disappointing
What else can I do apart from keep emailing them

Only had it installed in a new kitchen recently but so far really happy with it. Would definitely recommend it.
OK I admit it, I fell for the glossy literature believing that Bora is a top quality premium brand and worth the expensive price tag.
"The SCHOTT CERAN® glass ceramic used in BORA products is extremely scratch-resistant".
However, after just a few weeks our Bora Pura has several scratches to the glass. This can simply be caused by small grains of "spices under the pot or pan and these are moved. This can lead to scratches".
Yes, it's a hob used for cooking every day, is is not unusual for a pot to me moved across. The product is not very durable, looks great in a showroom but not fit for purpose.
"The glass ceramic hob is not covered by the guarantee as a item of use" and will not therefore be inspected or replaced.
I know several people with induction hobs provided by other manufacturers and not one of them have experienced this problem.
If I were to buy another hob then BORA would definitely be bottom of my list. Other than that though it's quite good with several useful functions.

Have only had the hob a couple of months so it is early days yet but initial reaction is impressive. The extractor works exceedingly well and removes the steam and smells efficiently.
Our X Pure works beautifully including the downdraught extractor which I'm amazed works so well.
Only downside so far is 1 small pot that just won't get recognised. Base is 9.5 cm and is apparently induction friendly (it is an Our Place Mini Perfect Pot 2.0). These pots are what I would consider on the high end at this size with this one at approx AUD$230. Cooktop refuses to recognise it including after turning off automatic pan size recognition. I bought a set and all the others including a Mini Always Pan 2.0 works fine. I doubt this is Bora specific but I will be very wary of buying cookware moving forwards even if they say they are induction friendly. That pot is now in our caravan and used on our gas cooktop in there.
This Bora product makes our new kitchen compleet. Never had the opportunity to use this kind of innovatieve products in our kitchen. Quality will stay long after we forgot about the price.
We purchased a Bora hob to complement a newly fitted kitchen. We are delighted with the product and even moreso with having the extended warranty. All very positive
Received an appointment to rectify problem quickly. The Engineer was punctual and courteous. Respected our property . Explained what he had done. Tidied up after finishing.

Very happy with my induction hob but the online shop does not deliver to the UK so cannot get any accessories.

I had a fault with my Bora hob and contacted the Bora Customer Service. Communication was great and they sent out an Engineer very quickly. The Engineer was helpful and friendly and fixed the problem without any issues.
We are using the Bora just for a couple of days. Our first impression is certainly positive.
The only comment I would like to make is on the Dutch version of the user guide. To me it was not very clear and I had to find out a lot on 'trial and error'. Perhaps something Bora could work on and improve.
