The door was open I didn't have to wait out in the rain I was seen on time for my appointment the glasses I chose were ready sooner than expected and am very pleased with my whole experience

Bowen Opticians is an optician in Worle village which makes it a popular choice to visit. Inside are very helpful receptionists - nothing is too much trouble. From booking an appointment, having the eye examination to choosing new frames or popping in for adjustments to your glasses you are treated with knowledge, efficiency and courtesy. I highly recommend visiting Bowens Optician.

From booking to receiving my glasses I had the most professional experience. My eye test was thorough, everything explained and not rushed, took time to answer my questions, felt really at ease. Had really good guidance on choosing my glasses, which style and frame fitted my face. I didn’t felt rushed at all even when I came back for the fitting making sure they fitted properly. Staff are really friendly, confident. A small business that really looks after you and your eyes.

My daughter has autism and the staff at bowens always go above and beyond to make sure our visit is as comfortable for my daughter as possible! They are very understanding and extremely helpful they are highly recommended by me !

Today I had an eye checkup with Ryan. From walking in the room I felt at ease. He did a thorough examination and explained things to me.
He was very professional with a lovely manner.

I have been a patient of Bowens for about 10 years. I have always found staff civil, courteous and helpful. My observations, as a patient, suggest that the opticians have an excellent knowledge of the subjects they practice. The practise is comprehensively equipped to perform any examination to the eyes that may be necessary in the performance of their work. I would have no hesitation in commending the practice to others.

Very personal, attentive and very professional and thorough. My husbands eye was in such a poor way, with deteriorating vision and infection. No other " professional " had even acknowledged the soreness , and state of the skin on and around the eye and lashes. He had been several times both to the hospital and another opticians. At Bowens, it was diagnosed and treated, within a day his eye was already so much better. They couldn't do much about the vision in the said eye, but they also never tried to upsell anything, knowing, it wouldn't help. Will go again when the time comes and would thoroughly recommend. I awoke one morning in the middle of July with severe pain in my right eye. I was seen the following day and was given a thorough examination. Eye drops were prescribed and a review was made the following week. Symptoms were still the same so a letter was sent to my GP asking them to refer me to the Eye hospital and also the Dermatologist for a lesion found just under the eye.
The upshot of all this is that I’ve been seen by the Dermatologist who has arranged a biopsy (appointment late September) and also the Eye hospital who have diagnosed dry eyes and appropriate eye drops given.
Thoroughly recommend Bowen Opticians. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Julie, the optician, excellent.
