maybe for donors interesting to just send money on a monthly basis for nothing in return.

If you have box account, please do a backup in other iCloud service. I used my personal email for 25 years, I used my credit card to pay it, but the invoice I put in my and wife company. There was a divorce, she staid in the company, I got out and since then I can not access my box.com account with my personal email. Can you believe it? If it was my company email, ok, but my personal email?

Box Cancellation Impossible

Box terms and contract are designed to collect money without providing a service. Their cancellation process is not clear, or available and it requires you to login to their online portal and is not available on their app so BE WARNED. Auto renewal of a service is only good when the service is actually provided. Their customer service team are not providing a service nor are they empowered to do the right thing. I will never use their product again. Other cloud service storage companies have a unique opportunity to demonstrate the right way of doing things!

Our company recently faced a…

Our company recently faced a significant setback after transitioning from Dropbox to Box.com for cloud storage services. We were enticed by Box.com's offering of "unlimited" storage, a necessity for our business as Dropbox discontinued their unlimited plans. We had a massive 80 TB of data to migrate, and Box.com seemed like a promising alternative.

We paid a considerable sum upfront, trusting their commitment to providing unlimited storage. The initial phase went smoothly, using their Box Shuttle service to transfer our data. However, only 3 TB into our 80 TB migration, we hit an unexpected roadblock.

To our dismay, we received email notifications informing us that we were exceeding their "fair usage policy." This was baffling as our activities were solely focused on migrating data from Dropbox, without any other uploads or downloads. Despite this, Box.com abruptly locked us out of our account.

Seeking support, we reached out to both their billing team and general customer service, but the assistance we received was far from helpful. There was a stark lack of consideration for our situation—a straightforward data migration exceeding their undisclosed limits.

Adding to our frustration, Box.com offered only a partial refund. This felt like a slap in the face, considering the disruption caused to our operations and the trust we had placed in their service. The support provided was inadequate and dismissive, failing to address our legitimate concerns over a significant data migration.

We are now left in a precarious position, with a substantial portion of our data inaccessible and financial losses due to the incomplete refund. This experience has been a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of cloud storage services that promise unlimited storage but fail to deliver when it truly matters.

Our advice to others considering Box.com: Be wary and think twice. The lure of unlimited storage might not be as straightforward as it appears.

Stay Away – Scam Alert!

Our company subscribed to the cloud services of Box.com approximately three months ago, lured in by the promise of unlimited storage. The promotional page was enticing and instilled confidence. No limits were mentioned; everything appeared (almost too) perfect.

We prepaid a substantial sum of €1134 for three user accounts (1 year). The registration process was quick and straightforward, and the customer service was responsive and friendly, giving us a positive impression.

Troubles began about a month later when we received an email notification stating that we were exceeding the allowed bandwidth usage under their "fair usage policy." Simultaneously, all transfers were blocked, crippling our operations. We reached out to seek clarification, but received no response.

It was only by researching various forums that we discovered Box.com had imposed "limits," which were never mentioned during our signup. A limit of 1 TB of bandwidth per month, which was absurd, considering we needed to migrate over 120 TB of data, would have taken over 10 years at that rate.

Despite reducing our usage and instructing our users to do the same, it remained impossible to determine the consumed bandwidth since their monitoring tool consistently displayed a value of... 0!

The following month, we received the same email, once again indicating we had exceeded our quota, leading to another transfer block lasting several days. Using their service had become a nightmare. Such measures represent a significant loss of productivity for any business.

This was followed by an email informing us of the complete suspension of our account WITH IMMEDIATE DELETION OF OUR DATA! Interactions with customer service were bizarre. We requested access to our data because some collaborators had uploaded files they no longer possessed – the response was negative and disdainful. They offered a partial refund, which is entirely unacceptable, given that we would never have subscribed to this service had we known it was such a scam. Months wasted, money lost, hours of work gone, and an incomplete refund. It's almost as if we should be seeking compensation from them for being misled by their deceptive marketing!

We won't stop here, and we will report Box.com to our local fraud enforcement agency because what these people are doing can only be described as clear-cut fraud.

If you care even the slightest bit about your data and your money, RUN AWAY!

Do not IGNORE all the bad reviews Box has

There are just so many things wrong with Box.com that it's hard to list them all here. Here are a few of my personal experiences.

1. Sure you can get a lot of space for cheap BUT they put severe limitations on the amount of bandwidth and API calls for uploading and downloading. It is so restricted that after a few days, you're either limited or you are no longer able to upload or download. This makes the service useless. How does Box respond? They tell you that if you don't like it, cancel the account.

2. I had a 3 person business account. One of my workmates got an account and he was disabled after uploading 1 test file. How does Box respond? They tell you that if you don't like it, cancel the account.

3. The FTP interface is great for transferring files back and forth. But this uses API calls. So after even a couple of directory calls, this is disabled. How does Box respond? They tell you that if you don't like it, cancel the account.

4. So we go to cancel the account. We were told we can take 30 days to retrieve the files. With the severe bandwidth limitations in place, it would have taken me the full 30 days of getting all my files back. But after a few days, they deactivated my account where I no longer have access to my files. How does Box respond? They tell you that if you don't like it, cancel the account. I kid you not! Even after canceling my account, they tell you to cancel the account. What a joke! So I lost a LOT of files because of Box.

Bottom line. You see all the bad reviews. I've never seen a company with such a low overall score.

Don't be like me and ignore the reviews. You'll lose money, time, and irreplaceable files.

So painful we gave up

Box.com website is incapable of processing UK bank cards. We have spent so many hours trying to get two trials completed and converted. The support take a long time to respond (only by email). In the end we had to abandon two projects and use another Cloud file provider.

I can't open word files. And I can't edit them for this reason. I've been having this problem for a long time. I sent an e-mail to the relevant department about this issue, but they were not interested. I have many word files. I am victimized because I can't edit them.

Bad Company

They are a bad, bad company. They charge a lot of money for a service that is frankly available elsewhere for a lot less. Also, now that I have read these other 1-star reviews, I am adding in my experience with their terrible customer service. I tried to cancel my account and they will not let me. They charged me £172 for the next year when I clearly will not be using it. They're just a really bad company and I would not trust them.

I recently purchased the MSI A850GL 800-watt power supply and I am very impressed with its efficiency. It runs quietly and works perfectly with my 4070 graphics card. I particularly appreciate the modular cables and the dedicated power connection for the Nvidia graphics card that uses the new-style connector. The power supply comes with a useful assortment of cables that offer plenty of connection options for SATA drives and molex for power.

I will certainly be purchasing more MSI products from box.com in the near future.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. I have used them for a year and kept my clinical casenotes on for loads of clients. Now I want to migrate my data and leave but there is no way to do this. Their advice is for me to print off each individual client contact (separately, as in 1 page for every weekly contact, for every client), then scan and save them myself. I am probably breaking all kinds of rules of data storing and dating. I have to date and sign my notes to keep to casenotes standards. Shocking. They need closing down.

We feel scammed

Had contact with support before subscribing to enterprise-plan.
Was guaranteed that data migration would be no problem.
After subscribing one week in the (rather slow) migration process box.com writes an email and threatens to block the account because of breaking Fair-Use-Policy.
We feel scammed and cancelled immediately our account.
Cannot recommend for business at all.

Deceptive Billing Practices

Deceptive Billing Practices

I thought I was signing up for one license at $14.00 per month, billed annually for a total of $180.00. I did not realize that what I was actually signing up for was for three licenses for a total of $540.00 per year. I was not told of the total until I received an invoice a day later, when it was too late (according to them) to cancel. I have cancelled my account, but they refuse to refund my monies.

I have made a complaint to the FCC and the FTC and am disputing the charge.
