Excellent service
Excellent service and ultra fast delivery. I put my order in early morning and it was delivered by lunchtime. My only complaint is that the timber i had delivered was very bent and not straight and when your paying a lot of money for timber i expect the staff to take more care on choosing timber for the customers.

Great prices and service
Great prices, with free local delivery made Bradfords a preferred choice. There was no problem amending the order at a late stage, without affecting the delivery date.

Following on from my last input
Following on from my last input, where gravel boards at Bradfords were £8.18 each and other suppliers were charging £3.14 each. I was shocked at the response from a large gentleman working at the Sherborne branch. He said it is what it is, and that other supplies buy in bulk and that because they only had two boards left in the yard, I had to pay the higher price. I said to him it doesn't matter how many you buy the price was too expensive. Bradfords buy in bulk but when you get to the end of a pallet load you may have a few left over, why was the price so dear? It wasn't my fault there was only two left. Many trades are turning their backs on Bradfords because their greed. Bradford 1 gravel board £8.18 Fence company £3.14. I needed 120 boards for a bridge project. Do I pay Bradfords £976.80 or Fence company £376.80. I think you all know the answer.

Initially no communication regarding…
Initially no communication regarding delivery. Then a phone call confirmed a morning delivery. Had to call twice in the afternoon to follow up as delivery had not been received. A manager confirmed a delivery slot at 3pm, as had already changed schedule for a morning delivery slot. Delivery arrived at 1420, whilst I was in another appointment.
Ordered 3 sheets of 12mm marine ply required for the weekend. 1 was a different weight, colour and lamination compared to the other 2. It resembled hardwood ply rather than marine ply. Bradfords were unhelpful on the phone insisting it was marine ply. Eventually took it the Yeovil branch whom agreed it was different and changed it for marine plywood.
Poor communication and customer service. A shame but will not be supporting this local business again.

No information about Christmas closiung or when they will re-open
Sherborne Bradfords was closed on Friday 20th December and Saturday 21st for stock taking and now appears to be closed all week. The web site just says it is closed every day of the week. There is no specific information about Christmas closing or when it will re-open. Nothing on the padlocked gate either. Bradfords obviously don't give a stuff about their customers.

Our Branches where closed over Christmas and re-open today the 30th December and tomorrow the 31st December from 8am to 2pm,
We are then closed for New Years Day and reopen on Thursday the 2nd of January where normal working hours will resume.

Very considerate of my requirements
Needing to make a small shaker door from a plywood base, Bradfords Sherborne recommended marine ply and were happy to adjust my order with Stuart offering to deliver the same day.
