Bradstock Estate Bacchus - a delightful Dorset drop and a real peach!

On first glimpse or should I say sniff, you are taken to 'Oyster Bay' as the notes seem typical of a very decent NZ Sauvignon Blanc. But, when you taste it you are right back in 'West Bay' or Dorset from whence it comes, it's definitely English. Crisp and clean but fruity, it's loaded with fragrance, peach, apricot and citrus, the grapefruit cuts through with a zesty blade but not so sharp that it throws it off balance, it is perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Bradstock's Bacchus has the flavours of retro heritage with a modern twist, the peach, apricot and grapefruit remind me of a 70's fruit cup a kind of Del Monte fruit cocktail, bursting with unctuous syrupy fruit but crisp with another English classic the 'Granny Smith' apple. The finish is longlasting, delicious and tastes of sun ripened apricot, this Coastal white is addictive! A crisp hug from Dorset - very English - and a warm kiss from the sea, a wave and a nod from its inception. Well done Bradstock...if I'd discovered this in Lockdown I'd have downed the whole smoking barrel! An English white for the purist.

Would give more stars if I could...

The website is super easy and very aesthetically pleasing, couldn't be more straight forward to use. Delivery came from a high standard courier who insisted on leaving it with a neighbour and not on the doorstep as I was out (couldn't be happier about that) and the packaging for the bottles of wine was top notch. Wine is in the fridge chilling and I am looking forward to enjoying at the weekend. Couldn't be happier with everything, will be buying again especially with the high service standards. 5 stars, would be more if I could.

High end wine and customer service wine itself was of a…

Well firstly the wine itself was of a very high standard considering the competitive price. Both the white and the rose were crisp, yet refreshing and kind to the pallet, with a wonderful aftertaste.

Secondly, the presentation and packaging were of a very high standard, rivaling fine wines at rhe very top end of the market.

The ordering process was simple and quick, with an easy to navigate website and the delivery times were very good.
