Would not recommend breaks plus for ANYTHING related to your car my 16 year old daughter took her car there for a free inspection and quote because it was making a noise while driving and we figured let's see what they say. Fast-forward 2 days later after only driving the car home and an additional 6 blocks total her driver's side front tire came off not because something was broken but because they didn't put the lug nuts back on properly ended up having a tow truck come to move the car the driver said lug nuts don't just come off like that meaning they are not stripped nothing wrong with the studs ECT even found 3 of the lug nuts a few houses down in the street no signs of actual damage to them glad she wasn't driving faster who knows what would have happened then instead now we have a car with a damaged rim, front panel cosmetic damage, ABS light on made multiple contacts regional manager called my husband Wednesday said he'd call back no later than Friday still nothing.

I went in to get a brake inspection and possible brake job. They were timely and very thorough on the inspection. I did end up getting new brakes. Felicia was very courteous and knowledgeable. She walked me through the whole thing. Her cream did a great job and I would highly recommend this location.

Devon at brakes Plus and his team fixed my brakes yesterday. It was a last moment emergency on my part. They got me in same day and did what I hope is a great repair on my car.

We brought my son’s car in for a tune-up and were advised it needed spark plugs, belts, and oil leak repairs. We paid approximately $680 for those services. One week later, the check engine light returned. We paid an additional $100 diagnostic fee and were again told the vehicle needed spark plugs, belts, and oil leak repairs — the same items we had just paid for. After discussions with management, we were charged roughly another $500 under what was described as “warranty” work.
A month later, the check engine light came back on. At that point, we sought two independent evaluations without disclosing prior repairs. Both mechanics confirmed the spark plugs were still factory (had not been replaced), the belts needed replacement, and there is now a significant oil leak.
We have documentation, invoices, and third-party confirmations supporting this timeline. In total, we have spent nearly $2,000 and the original issues were never properly repaired.
We are sharing this experience so others can make an informed decision.

My words would never be enough express the gratitude and appreciation I have for such a magnificent worker named Diela I met today at Brakes Plus. Just from simply being attentive to make sure I could enjoy the complimentary tea they provide to the genuine compassion and knowledge she has to share, I even learned some things with her about brakes. Not only me but every single customer and co worker she came in contact with I observed she treated with much respect an diligence. She has so much to offer I would like to see her get promoted ASAP this an employee that is an absolute asset to the company.

I am a 72 year old grandma. It's hard to find someone who will not take advantage of you. But I have found Brakes Plus in Wylie Texas to be very trustworthy. I have been using them for my brakes, oil changes, wipers, and struts. Today I went there to see if they could fix my wiper arm on the driver side. It was swinging off the window and onto the frame of the van. Dylan looked at, ajusted it, and fixed it in a matter of minutes without charge. They have always be very helpful and I will always go to them for this kind of work. Thank you so much Dylan for your help today.

I took my 2017 Chevy Traverse to this Brakes Plus for a “mooing” noise and a power steering leak. They repaired the leak, but it came back within a few weeks. When I returned, they said it was fixed, but halfway home my car started shaking so violently I barely made it back to my house. They later admitted they had forgotten to reinstall a valve, and they replaced the power steering pump at no charge.
The noise never fully went away and slowly got worse. When I finally took my car to the dealership, they found the power steering hose had been routed incorrectly—sitting on top of where it should have been and pressed against the heat shield. The hose was also bent, which could cause air in the system and add to the noise. They also found two of the hose brackets were missing, and the pump still needed to be replaced. I ended up paying a significant amount out of pocket to fix problems that should not have existed.
The staff at Brakes Plus were friendly, and I do think they tried, but the repeated mistakes and incorrect repairs caused more damage and more expense than I started with. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this location.

I was at the Manawa Center Dr, Council Bluffs, IA store this morning for an 8:00 am appointment. Over an hour later, I asked about my car because I saw that it was still in the parking lot. I was told that they were two techs short today and that it will be another 1 1/2 hours before the would get to it. This is something that should have been told to me when I checked in and given me the option to stay or reschedule. Interestingly enough, a gentleman came in after me for an oil change without an appointment and he was told that they could do it and to wait a bit for it.
Is this store just trying to get as many customers as they can without consideration for the customers' time? It does not seem that they care too much for customers, but instead they are trying to get in as much money as they can for the day. Perception is reality.
Also, when I schedule online and took the advertised special, it did not include the price for the package nor what the package included. Is that a bait to get you in and then you have to take what was offered at the price because it would be an inconvenience to go somewhere else by that time?
I lost 1 1/2 hours of productive work time.

I paid for an alignments and the manager said he could not do the front wheels because I needed adjustable camber bolts then he tried to sell me 2 bolts that cost $37.50 in the same building next door at Advance auto parts for $200. At which time I protested. Then we came to the agreement that if I bought the camber bolts and brought back my vehicle he would finish the alignment for no charge. Because I had already paid $ 129 for one . When I brought my vehicle back with the camber bolts he said he didn't remember me and that he didn't agree to that and he would need $150 labor to put 2 bolts in and then I would have to pay for the alignment again!!! Thief and a liar!! Do not take your vehicle to brakes plus they have liars and thieves running their shops

I am so pleased that I stopped in the Grand Prairie location. From beginning to end, I found this to be the perfect location for pretty much anything short of body repair. I was greeted professionally, answered every question and completed my service need above and beyond. This is going to be my choice, my comfort zone for auto service repairs, service from now on!
