I brought my vehicle to BRB Autobody…
I brought my vehicle to BRB Autobody for two dents and chips on the hood from a rock that hit my Toyota Rav4.
They had a loaner vehicle for me to use as well. Not every body shop has that.
I had my Toyota back in 3 days and it looked like I drove it out of the show room! It was detailed and the hood looked spectacular. This is the bodyshop that has excellent customer service and can make your vehicle look like you just bought it! Thank you BRB Autobody!
If I could give them zero stars I…
If I could give them zero stars I would. I have rust on the bottom rear corners of my rear doors on the outside and inside edge of the doors. I asked them to remove all rust and only paint that bottom corner (not paint the entire door). The incompetent estimator advised he could do what I asked and blend in the paint so it would be really hard to tell. He quoted me $200 per door. I agreed and they scheduled the work for almost two weeks later because they are SOOOO busy. Today the work was done so I went to pick it up. They taped off the area and it looks like they just covered it with a thick rubber paint like a Rhino coating. Ok not what I expected and certainly NOT BLENDED IN like he quoted but ok I will live with it. Then I opened the door and found THEY DID NOTHING WITH THE RUST ON THE INSIDE EDGE OF THE DOOR. When I confronted them he told me that it was because I told him I didn't want the entire door painted. WTef?!!! NO I didn't want the entire door painted. Just the corner rust removed and painted. He tried to tell me that I specifically told him not to fix the rust on the inside. WTef AGAIN!!!! That is what/why I specifically went there!! Then he said he told me, at the time of the estimate, the job would be $1,000 to fix all the rust and that I didn't want to pay that cost so I settled for the lesser awful job they did at $400. He NEVER said ANY other price during the original estimate other than the $400. Where he came up with that BS story about $1,000 I have no idea. I told him what I wanted, he knew what I wanted, he quoted me what I wanted, and then their people did an awful job and now he doesn't want to deal with it cause they are so busy. I guess they are busy enough that they don't care about their customers now as the estimator told me he wasn't going to argue with me and walked off. This place has NO CUSTOMER IN THEIR SERVICE. I won't ever go back there and will be taking every opportunity to advise others about what happened to me.
Our vehicle needed to be painted from…
Our vehicle needed to be painted from front to back, top to bottom due to shattered glass showering it. We brought it to BRB Auto Body Inc, as "recommended" by our auto insurance company. All "plastic" and "rubber" parts and glass had to be replaced including windshield, sun roof, headlights, fog lights, mirrors etc. Everything but the tailgate and rear bumper had to be buffed out and painted.
The day it was finished and picked up we noticed paint blemishes on the front bumper and required them to note on the paper work it would have to be repainted. Later we found multiple sections on roof, doors and fenders that all had poor paint finish and blemishes. We complained and they took the vehicle back and our insurance provider said it would be corrected.
They repainted the vehicle a second time. The insurance adjustor checked it before it was "done" and made them repaint a front fendor for a third time.
We went to pick it up inside the building (winter) so we could do a detailed inspection. We found multiple paint blemishes, scratches and chips in the paint that weren't there after the first paint job. The owner brought us back to see the vehicle and seemed to know "nothing" about it or that it was their second attempt to fix it. We decided to take it and tell our insurance company it was not acceptable and it would NOT be going back to BRB. When we went to start it, the battery was dead, inside a heated building. The must have left interior lights on or doors left open over night. Very unprofessional service.
We took our vehicle to our preferred body shop. They replaced OEM parts that were broken, misaligned and painted much of the body again. BRB Autobody had to pay for our preferred body shop bill directly, no addtional out of pocket expense for us (and he charged them full price, no discounted insurance rate).
We will never use BRB Autobody Inc, ever again. And we will tell everyone in the area to use our preferred body shop. I cannot stress enough how bad BRB is.
