We had a very positive experience working with Brooke Milner at Breckon & Breckon during the purchase of our home.
Brooke was helpful, responsive and approachable throughout the process. She answered our questions clearly, or made sure she found the right answers when needed, which made the process feel much easier to navigate.
What stood out most was that her support did not stop once the transaction was completed. Even after we moved in, Brooke continued to help with questions about the property and supported us in resolving a few small issues.
Overall, we really appreciated her professionalism, responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile. We would happily recommend Brooke and Breckon & Breckon to others.

AWOL Oxford Waterside
They manage Oxford Waterside, which we all pay into, but they don't bother to respond to issues. Katie simply does not respond to emails. That has been my experience.

John kept us informed throughout our purchase and was very helpful in keeping the momentum going throughout the process. I can’t recommend Breckon and Breckon highly enough.
Avoid as Tenant
We were excellent tenants who paid rent on time every month and maintained the property to the best of our abilities, yet Breckon & Breckon attempted to withhold £517 from our £1,125 deposit - nearly half of what we paid. They charged us for window mechanism repairs that were carried out a month after we vacated and after the property had been re-let to new tenants, despite their own check-out report making no mention of any window damage. They also tried to charge us £300 for bathroom redecoration due to "mould damage" when their own inventory photographs clearly showed the bathroom ceiling was already chipping and black with mould when we moved in.
We had no choice but to take the dispute to independent adjudication through mydeposits. The adjudicator reviewed all the evidence and awarded the landlord just £10 out of the £517 they claimed, effectively rejecting 98% of their deductions. This result speaks volumes about their approach to deposit deductions.
Breckon & Breckon may be good for landlords who want an agent that will aggressively pursue deposit deductions, but tenants will only suffer from unfair charges and having to fight for what is rightfully theirs. If you do rent through them, take extensive photographs at check-in, document everything, and be prepared to challenge any unreasonable deductions. Good tenants deserve fair treatment, not to be used as a revenue source for routine property maintenance.
Brooke Milner has been excellent to us
Brooke Milner has been excellent to us. She is always smiling, cheerful and optimistic to us as new buyers. She alleviates anxiety and gives information with clarity. We appreciate her for being so patient with us. She has guided us every step of the way.
Breckon& Breckon gives excellent service. We wish them all the best and recommend them to all home buyers.

Exceptional Service
The team in Witney went out of their way to assist in a very tricky sale. There are always on hand to liaise between the buyers and both sets of solicitors to get the move completed. They’re just sitting there to loot money. Hardly any service provided. They’ll eat your deposit money for sure. The customers are the only sufferers here, whether you pay a deposit or a reposit. They do not value customer’s money at all. Even after spending 250 on reposit and 400 on end of tenancy cleaning they’re charging 240 extra for dumb reasons.

Appalling and disgraceful managing agents
Appalling.
I own a property at Woodstock Close which is managed by Breckon & Breckon. Since they took over as property managers, service charges have gone THROUGH THE ROOF.
They show no respect towards leaseholders, ignore communications, and treat us with arrogance bordering on contempt.
There are so many issues with this company - from them claiming to seek the most competitive prices for works and simultaneously charging 15% commission on all major contracts, to their abject failure to monitor regular contractors such as the cleaner, leading to contractors billing without performing works - a problem which persisted unchecked for over a year.
Breckon & Breckon have no regard for leaseholders, they don't care how our money is spent, they don't care about offering a professional service and they ignore highlighted issues and emails from leaseholders. All they care about is charging as much as they can and making the maximum amount of money for themselves, at the utter expense of leaseholders' financial welfare and mental health.
I am in the process of gathering all evidence to make a formal complaint about this company to the Property Ombudsman and likely tribunal. I will also consider taking my story to the press as B&B's contempt for residents and good practice is nothing short of scandalous. They need scrutiny, and soon.
* additional comment - the fact that Breckon & Breckon attempt to gaslight my feedback on their appalling management practices by suggesting I am bitter about my sale collapsing and that I "blame" them is completely inappropriate and immature and says everything anyone needs to know about this company and its conduct. My review did not even mention my sale, which is personal information. My sale did fail as the seller pulled out due to service charges making the property unmortgageable. But to dismiss my legitimate concerns by making innappropriate volatile personal comments is utterly unacceptable. Leaseholders wishing to sell are struggling due to the charges and properties at the Close are not selling and sitting on the market. But only the Ombudsman/law would ever make this Breckon & Breckon reflect on its conduct. The real life observable impact of its management has zero impact on its operations.
I am preparing a complaint for the Property Ombudsman and Tribunal. This company ignores ALL communications with me, and the feelings of the chair of the WCLA (an unofficial group I am not legally obliged to be part of or engage with) is absolutely not a reflection of many leaseholders who are extremely unhappy about Breckon & Breckon's conduct and are not being listened to by the WCLA or Breckon & Breckon.
The conduct of this company is deeply ill-advised and unrofessional and it will be answerable to the Ombudsman and the law. And likely the press. Shocking.

I had a delightful and seamless experience with Breckon & Breckon. I am thrilled with the flat I'm currently renting! I found this company very easy to communicate with. The whole process of viewing the property, submitting an offer, and securing the flat was very straightforward.
Side note: After picking up my keys from the Breckon & Breckon office, I went to my new flat and found that they had left little courtesy packages for me. There was toilet paper and toiletries in the bathroom, and a little kitchen kit with dish soap, a tea towel, etc. in the kitchen. I found this detail very kind and welcoming. I have never experienced a letting company this thoughtful!
My letting agent, Charlotte, was fantastic! She was professional and helpful. She was understanding and made everything about the rental process and the specific property easy to understand. I am very grateful to her and could not be happier with the lovely flat in which I am now living.

Choose another leasing agency!
I highly recommend you choose another leasing/renting agency if you can-- there are many better managed ones in the Oxford area. During my renting period of 3 months with them, Breckon and Breckon provided very little flexibility, communication, and understanding. The flat was not as described/advertised nor was clean when I moved in. And after paying additional money to opt into flat fair- they still were overly punitive when I moved out. I cleaned the property thoroughly and they still charged me for an additional cleaning because they found one strand of hair... and took a picture of it as proof. They also lied and tried to charge me for a late checkout which flat-fair disputed. They are not a trustworthy nor delightful business to work with.
