Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 123 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People frequently struggled with payment problems, unexpected fees charged when dates failed to happen, and accounts being frozen arbitrarily without clear explanations. Customers also strongly complained about inconvenient date locations, poorly functioning matching algorithms, and frustrating communication barriers throughout the entire process. Though some people found the unique concept refreshing and much easier to use for intentional dating. Users deeply appreciated the straightforward approach that successfully avoids endless messaging and helps people discover interesting new places together. They felt it saved time compared to traditional platforms and offered a fun way to meet serious singles in person.

Stay away!!!!!

This app is awful. I was genuinely excited to try something different and hoped it might actually lead somewhere. Instead, like many others, Breeze “couldn’t find a partner” for us and still took half the money.

I contacted customer service and was told that the app requires a lot of work and that organising dates costs them money. I replied saying the app itself isn’t great, the profiles shown aren’t great, and no date had even been organised, so I requested a refund. I also asked which partner venues they work with in Belfast so I could look into it myself.

They responded with excuses, including that bars limit the number of Breeze customers because they prefer “natural customers” (which honestly sounded like nonsense). When I asked again about their partners, they eventually admitted they don’t currently have any in Belfast.

If you’re in Ireland, I’d strongly avoid this app. Customer service is rude and feels very gaslighting. If you’re going to pay for dating, you’re honestly better off sticking with Hinge or Tinder where they are honest about it.

Breeze really is awful!

I’m wondering if anyone gets any date organised by.breeze? I paid 9.90 for a date and it came back and said no partner locations are available, it then prompted me to organise the location and refunded me half a credit back so I’m in a position where I’m paying 4.45 to organise a date, they said the half credit is for services - I can’t think what the service actually is. Then the person I’ve been matched with has not confirmed this location is ok and so it has been left on a timer for him to confirm til 3 hours before the date with no ability to message. My guess is he’s not that happy about paying for a self organised date because he selected the time. A waste of money and no joy in trying to get a refund. The thing is I have no difficulty in getting dates in the other apps, I am trying this out as an experiment as I thought it’s going to be fun to have a date organised, with location and a drink.

'Slow dating' or Non-existing dating'

Talk about 'Slow dating'! It's fine if there is actually dating, but its more like 'Non-existing dating'!
1 match over the course of at least 8months. The streak count is also rubbish. The dates appear 7pm and vanish the following day (24hours), making way for new potential matches 7pm again, but you only have between 7pm-midnight for you to keep the streak going - regardless of if you use it the following morning (still within the 24hour period). Loosing the streak means that the algorithms no longer work to the best of there ability, so you keep on getting matches that aren't actually 'potential matches'.
Waste of time if you ask me!

There's bad and then there is Breeze…

There's bad and then there is Breeze bad. It seems its aptly named Breeze because you are often left in the Breeze! The locations set often are inconvenient and/or change multiple times leaving confusion. Despite all the hoopla of "paying for date ensures more serious daters" the amount of last min rescheduling, canceling and all around no shows is shocking. What makes it worse is the customer service likewise ghosts you when you ask for help with the already awkward situation of a failed no show date. Despite promising a response in "10 mins" on the day of the date....the sad thing is I initially had great experiences and even told friends about the app. Now I'm so frustrated I wish I never signed up, just waiting until I can finally use up my tokens or convince them to give me a monetary refund!

This is a criminal enterprise.
Date set, few days after they said the venue was not available, want us to choose our own venue then still charge us. When I declined they froze my account and still took my coin/money. They are fraud and criminal

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service, asked for a refund to be told that I had to cancel the date first. I then clarified ‘If I cancel will I get a refund?’ to which they said yes. They then tried to get out of refunding by putting it onto my breeze wallet. They then said I never stated for the refund to be into my bank account, all while being incredibly rude. After hours long (ending at midnight) chatting, they’ve agreed to refund me as they previously did anyway, saying it’ll be processed in 5 days, having asked for confirmation of this, they said that chat message was the confirmation and they wouldn’t provide anymore. Very argumentative, rude and disrespectful. If the refund doesn’t go in, I will be taking it further.

Shitty app in general as well.

Warning: how you use this app, defines the output & the results

The app concept itself I believe is solid; it cuts out a lot of unnecessary stuff you might have to deal with on other apps. The aim is to date, & I've had more dates on breeze, than on any of the other apps combined in the same equivalent time. Like any other tool (or dating app) the output you get is dependent on how you use the tool. Given how I have personally used it, I was quite surprised by the number of 1* reviews here, because, I've had the complete opposite experience. To the point now of reading those reviews, making my experience feel like an outlier. Some of them citing poor logistics planning, refund difficulties or lack of consideration for women’s safety, on part of the app, which are understandably legitimate concerns.

Personally, I have been cancelled on but was able to use the token for the next date & have received a refund once when I requested on a separate occasion. Not had any issues with logistics, & I don’t mind going into the city for date occasionally. If its inconvenient in any way I make sure to communicate with the other person. Prefer the walk & talks now, because you don’t physically have to go to the location. So, I use the apps planning locations for walk & talks as suggestions, again communicate with the other person asap to scope out whether it works for them. If it doesn’t, arrange for something more suitable between us. Other complaints about the quality of matches, mismatched personalities, values etc or questioning the user pool system, quality of the user base. If users have earned the badge that designates them as having been a good date, ie you shouldn't have multiple dates that dont go anywhere/should have met someone suitable after x number of dates. Expecting to find a relationship within a handful of first dates, is unrealistic imo, scan for quality not quantity. A lot of ppl expect “fireworks” as a default & if they don’t get them right away, write off the other person, their loss. Other times ppl don’t gel, or one has dating criteria that doesn’t work for the other, that’s life, it happens.

The app gives you set # of profiles a day, it’s your job to then discern whether you want to say yes to a date with someone. Here is where I believe these negative review users (& dating app use in general falls apart), ppl will ignore what they see other users have said, or not said on their profiles (& yh ppl lie but) basically employing zero filtration. In reading those reviews, it feels like to me that ppl are just matching willy nilly & expecting miracles. Really reinforces that, a lot of ppl really do not know what they want, make no effort to &/or are winging it a fair bit.

I get the app doesn’t allow you to filter directly, but again it’s on you/me to discern. If I see someone that smokes, as a nonsmoker, I’m not going to say yes to that person. Your “yes” on this app is more valuable than you know or give credit for, I suspect ppl have scarcity issues, in that you see x amount of people & the y amount of time it takes to match for a date, in my experience now that’s the price for searching for alignment (if that is what you’re actually doing).

If you’ve read this far, my learned tips are; firstly, understand yourself, this is a lynchpin, invest time in your own self-understanding, learn what you want & don’t want. By that I mean values, characteristics (caring, curious, kind etc) not just appearance (tall, nice hair, big bum etc). Second, take the time to really convey yourself on your profile in a way that’s unique & accurate to you, avoid dating app tropes**. Third, when it comes to profiles you see, avoid the empty ones, that give you nothing to read, learn or that don’t stir any curiosity in you. Avoid the ones that present “lifestyles” posed pictures with no context or depth, as well as those that have 1 or no sentence bios. 3 word prompt answers or every aspect revolves around **I like to eat & travel (I’ve seen an increase in this on breeze of late, my one gripe, & I avoid like the plague). Again, choose those that are unique, read as accurate to the person you are viewing & generate a REAL interest in you.

Don't give oxygen to profiles that don't align with you (the value of your “yes”), I cannot emphasise this enough, this will immediately filter out a lot of the ‘wrong for you people’. Basically, anyone who doesn’t make an effort in their profile, at worst likely isn’t serious (at best is unaware in their own approach themselves) &/or then will likely not make the effort when dating you.

I'm fairly certain the intentionality of my approach is the difference maker for me & what subsequently makes me feel like an outlier in comparison to the 1* reviews I’ve read. If not for that, I likely would have been one of those negative user reviews. However my use of breeze is macro over micro, & so far its been the best means for me to meet/date people 🤷🏻‍♂️

I live in a city so I think most the issues others have is location wise, I’ve been on 3 dates so far and the location has all been within 10 minutes of me so super easy. I love not having to have endless chit chat, then all the back and forth with logistics to arrange a date and then the awkwardness of sending the rejection message. I love that breeze takes all of that away tbh. The only downside is a few people that have come up have been quite far away, but all in all, it’s a great concept and makes dating sooo much easier and less time consuming. I never usually leave reviews but I saw so many negative ones after I’d arranged my first date and it nearly put me off but glad I went through with it!

Such a sketchy set up

Read about their “bans” on forums. They have a tyrannical ban policy and it’s becoming apparent it’s a scam to sweep pre-paid funds for dates. So you might have paid £30 for 3 dates, then they will ban you and scrape the funds for those dates and just cancel the date for the other person. Possibly the biggest scam dating app of all, the others are just rubbish but at least they’re not straight up financial scams. Avoid

Money scam app

Once you pay for tokens, you have already lost that money, because the dates dont take a place. Dates being cancelled by people when you are about to go to date and people dont turn up. It makes you think fake profiles match and they keep you waiting for tje next match. And although it is their fault they dont refund your money. Literally they sit on your money while you still match and dates being planned but it doesnt take a place. People are abusing the system , and the app management dont take any responsibility on this or put some penalise in place to avoid last minute cancellations.
Shortly it is a scam, do not buy or pay yp this app at all.

Tried app three times let down twice by Liars

Ok I have tried this app 3 times, so have given it a fair chance. Thats 3 dates that have been arranged once a match came up. The first match went ok, but afterwards the date turned out obnoxious afterwards so didn't continue seeing him. So of course tried again, the second match, LIED by basically not saying he had kids on his profile but i found out he had a baby! Which is a deal breaker for me. The third match also LIED by also not mentioning he already had kids, and I found out he has 2 on the date which was very awkward because I couldn't even hide my dismay. I love kids, I just want my own and do not want to date someone already tied down as a parent. Its my preference but i'm sick and tired of the lies. I know the app can't control liars, but my time effort and money would have been saved if I could message them properly to weed them out. Its not fair. Now I've been stung twice, thats it the app is absolutely useless and pointless to me. Waste of my time and money I'll never get back. I will stick to the other terrible apps or real life. The app is great for men to get dates easily by lying, bit not for women who have deal breakers and who don't want to be messed around. Avoid. Also its incredibally difficult to get money back once they take it and then the date is cancelled.

Good Concept - Execution Another Matter

The concept of the app is really refreshing; dating fatigue is very real and unfortunately the usual apps have created never ending abundance, making it much harder to form any 'real' connections.

The app itself in principle does work and I have found that, despite having limited profiles to view each day, that it has a good sense of my algorithm. However, when it comes to the date itself, there seems to be little thought into the location itself and the quality of the establishment.

My first date was very well located for me, almost too close, but for him, it took him over an hour to arrive. The bar itself was a naff party bar where you'd end up after a heavy night at 3am - they were blasting music, so we couldn't hear ourselves to talk, not sure what makes this appropriate for a first date. Luckily, we both had a good sense of humour about it and with me being in an area I knew well, we went onto somewhere else.

Second date which is in the process of being planned, we have been informed today we are to go to Uxbridge. For reference, we are both in North London. Why would we both travel nearly 2 hours across London for a date when we live 15 minutes away from one another?

You are able to raise this on a chat function, however, it states it can take 48 hours to receive a response. This is therefore flawed as you are only given the location of a date 24 hours before, hence why many are calling this a 'scam'.

I will of course be contacting him on the day of to ask we go somewhere else, which I am sure he will want too, but we will of course lose money from that, which feels unfair.

In short - a great app with a good concept but it needs a lot of work!

Do not use them!! Scammers!

Do not use them. I had a date planned for tonight. I have already paid for it. I've just gotten a message to say that they have no partner bars left so they have changed my date to a walk (its raining) and will refund me half back. I have replied that because the issue is on their side I would like a full refund please and they've said no, its their fee for matching me and that I am welcome to go to a bar of my own choice instead. Ok and then pay full price for a drink that I have already paid for? Absolute scammers!

Only for London!!

If you are outside of London forget this app. They simply don’t have enough clients. The algorithm doesn’t work, the preferences don’t mean a thing, you might get sent two potential matches if you are lucky and my preferences are wide open according to their sliders. Picked 4 cities within an hour and still very few people. Maybe one for the future but right now I can’t recommend it.

Terrible app where users have no…

Terrible app where users have no control over date preferences. I don’t want to date a man with kids, who is looking for casual relations and 5’3. The app gaslights you into thinking you can select these features then traps you into a date with the wrong man. God forbid you try and cancel once realising your mistake, by which you’re then penalised by having accounts frozen.

This has the potential to be the best app in the market but the greed around the filter restrictions to get more money is their downfall.

Stick to Bumble and Hinge

Really strange idea. Not being able to speak to your date until four hours before you meet is crazy. What if you have nothing in common? It's £9.50 wasted plus Breeze chooses the venue so it's all contrived. At least on Bumble and Tinder you can get to know people in advance. Poorly thought through idea.

Terrible experience

Breeze does not allow you contact with a date until 4hrs prior to your date. Which is ridiculous because if they allowed chatting you can easily tell if someone is serious or not. Pictures can be deceiving. I got matched with someone who not only lied his age, I even doubt it was his real name, and he couldnt explain his proffession. He pretended to be a gentleman through- out the date, at the end of the date he was very inappropriate with me, the following day sending sexualised messages that were so graphic and offensive, he then blocked me and left Breeze! What a waste of my time considering I made effort to go 1hr away to meet him, and paid for that date. Its a crazy idea, i could have been with an ex offender that night. Who knows. Its so risky!
