I have used bright local in the past and had a good experience. It's been a couple of years since I submitted changes for the purposes of NAP consistency, so I thought I would engage again. This time so far, I'm having an extremely disappointing experience with many details, being ignored and submitted incorrectly in many, many places. I am really annoyed that I feel like I'm having to audit their work for them and let them know about the multiple mistakes that are being made. It seems that on their end, they have simply decided that some of the changes that I have requested are not worthwhile and are being completely ignored. This is very strange to me, and I am quite upset.

I had to push a little harder than I would've liked to get this resolved, but it is resolved now. When I initially let them know that there was a problem the feedback that they gave me was that they had submitted the information as I requested, but they told me that it was a formatting issue with certain listings. I did a little research and found out very quickly that this was not true in most cases. I gave that information back to them (I looked at other listings on these sites to prove there was no formatting problem), and then they were able to magically update all the individual listings that were wrong.
To their credit, the type of change that I was requesting from doing business with them previously might have been a little bit difficult to update, but I wish that they had looked into the problem more specifically before telling me something that wasn't true. Five minutes of research on my part made it clear there had been an issue with the submission, not the formatting on the listing sites.
I previously had a five-star experience with Bright Local when I initially used their listing service. My second experience, I initially rated a one, and now I am upgrading it to a three-star review overall. I felt like I really had to babysit the process this time to ensure everything was correct, and that bothers me especially since I'm paying the regular price here. If I had been Bright Local, I would've offered a partial refund since I ended up having to do a significant amount do work for them. I spent about 90 minutes painstakingly going through each listing ot make sure it was correct, compiling a list of the incorrect ones, and then "proving" that the incorrect sites did not have "formatting issues."

Working with the team has been a great experience. Their self serve portal is very easy to use, their citations team is friendly, supportive, and quick. Would highly recommend when tracking and building citations for your local listings.

Brightlocal has superb customer service. We have encountered an issue with one of our linkbuilding campaigns and their team was quick to reach out and clarify information in order to proceed. I also noticed how invested they are in the learning and development of their customer base which I really appreciate. I recently used Brightlocal's citation update service to rationalize a client's directory presence. Brightlocal worked cooperatively with me to make the appropriate updates. In a case where one of the directories was non-responsive, Brightlocal worked to create an instance in another competitive directory. The Brightlocal team communicated progress, issues, and work-arounds for me. Too soon to know the ranking impact but I expect good results.

It says they are in the UK but during UK work hours no one is avaliable, if you message late at night you could be lucky to find someone, I have asked many questions and all you get is a messy email ticket, yes semrush is more expensive but at least it works, with this my stats just keep dropping. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but if you don't answer my questions, then how do I know? It's like they have no staff.

cant log in, they ask me to verify my email via same email I am emailing them making no sinse than no response after. I think this company does not exist any more. Google probly ban them then they shut down blocking everyone is what this seems like.
