Great Customer Service

I used Bright Local as my website company had recommended them. I had difficulty understanding some things. Mike was a GREAT help and very patient and understanding with my non-understanding. He was great at problem solving and getting me to the right pages to complete what I needed to do.

Customer service is always great! Their chat function works well and if you have to send an email they are fairly prompt.

Great customer service, like always.

BrightLocal is always very friendly and interested in helping me whenever I have a question. Today's question was about how to find a citation that was still showing as "submitted" in the campaign. Short answer is that it should update itself when the submission has been accepted by the site, but the agent also took the time to inform me of a couple of other options that I have to check, verify, and update the information if I see it before their system does.
She also said that she would reach out to the team and have them double check and see if they can verify the status of the submission. All very helpful.

DON'T SUBMIT CHANGES CLOSE TO RENEWAL

I've been using BL for about 2 years now. For the most part the service does what is says it does. However, I have noticed if you are getting close to end of contract / service or close to renewal and have changes, those changes are usually ignored and NOT made, at least in my experience. I feel it's their way of forcing you into another renewal. This has happened with at least 3 of my client accounts. I am currently in a situation where a client changed addresses, I submitted the address change 6 weeks PRIOR to renewal of services, they acknowledged and said it was submitted. I followed up several times and here I sit 6 weeks PAST renewal and still no changes or response from support team. When it works it works, but I'm looking for an alternative at the moment as 12 weeks without the change is absolutely unacceptable. I pay to update citation information anytime during my yearly subscription, not just part of it.

Here is the response (From Bright Local) to my citation submissions not being completed, even though they were submitted PRIOR to my service ending. This is a direct quote from Clark from BL>>>

...since Data Axle processes submissions takes months to be applied to the listings, the subscription has expired while this aggregator is still processing the data to be published in their directory.

Unfortunately, we've experienced a delay- as your reviews mention, they're taking longer than expected to apply these updates, but I can also see a refund was issued for the aggregator submission- so again, we'd like to apologize for the inconvenience.

We can assure you that your data is submitted in a timely manner, however, the speed of this process relies heavily on the aggregators' internal processes but do note this has been escalated accordingly.

I do hope this helps and I know Clark responded to all of your questions but please get in touch with our team should you wish to discuss anything else, just reply to your original email thread so we can pick it up.

I have used BrightLocal for many years. The platform and customer service are excellent. I rely on the reports that I am able to generate with BrightLocal to inform my local marketing strategies for my clients. Brilliant Customer service!
