They ghost you when wanting to return items
I ordered a doll house for my daughter however wanted to return it. They responded to my initial email about returning it however three email chasers both to their direct email and on their website and they have ghosting every one.
I had the same issue with a smaller item I wanted to return back in April.
Would definitely not recommend buying from this company

I ordered something on 30th September and haven’t heard a thing since despite emailing twice. The birthday the item was meant for has been and gone. When I paid it said “2-4 Working Days Standard Delivery (Tracked)” It’s now 21 days since I ordered.
Really impressed with this company
Really impressed with this company. They had a great Maileg sale with big discounts. The Items I ordered arrived quickly and when I had a query the customer service department were so helpful.

I would have not even given one star, however there was not that option.
I had purchased of this website for my daughter’s birthday, with her birthday money she had received.
I have not received the parcel, nor have I received a refund. Don’t think I will.
It’s disgusting and unacceptable that this company have not made this right.
It was my 3 year olds birthday money from my grandparents her great grandmother and Great Nana and mine and her daddy’s money combined, oh and her great auntie! Altogether the money we spent out of her savings was £183.54 which was some of her birthday money!
Her birthday was the 09.07.2024 I said to my daughter would you like bits for your doll house and she said yes out of excitement. It’s now the 22nd August and the seller has not responded to my last email. It’s absolutely disgraceful!!!!!!!
I would stay clear from this website and put your money else where! I’m appalled to the customer service I have received if any at all. My poor daughter has not forgotten she still keeps asking when they will be arriving. I have said that until we receive your birthday money back we can’t afford to replace.
My 3 year old said ok mummy, I will play with my other toys. This has broken my heart! It’s a lot of money to loose and above all else she’s only 3 years old.

I really love this store
I really love this store, it was my first time ordering with them. I had a really positive experience purchasing quite a few items for my daughter’s Christmas presents. There was excellent communication via the website on the messaging portal, it was really nice to be able to ask questions, Katharine is lovely and very helpful. All the items I ordered were packaged really well and came beautifully presented. Their pricing is really competitive too. I will definitely be ordering from the store again.

Ordered a gift for my daughter from…
Ordered a gift for my daughter from this site. It arrived broken. Initially, the customer service was brilliant - Katherine was lovely and very responsive. She promised a replacement in time for my daughters birthday, after I sent photos of the damage. This did not arrive, so I contacted the retailer and bright new things and was ghosted. They effectively stole £58 from me. Would not recommend and I’ll never buy from here again.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Bought wooden toy robot construction. When the box was opened unfortunately one robot was broken and another damaged (in construction not BNT fault). Emailed and had quick response refunding in full and a telephone call to apologise and confirm. Excellent, friendly customer service, thank you Katherine.
Brilliant customer service
Brilliant customer service, I ordered a kitchen for Christmas, it took a bit longer than expected to arrive, but as it was for Christmas (currently november) it was no problem. Without me querying anything I had a phone call to explain why it was late and if I needed it urgently and if so they could get it to me the following day. As I only needed it for Christmas I didnt rush it however it was very personable to have a phone call and be asked before if even raised the question!

Lovely store, let down by poor communication
This shop has a really lovely range of products at good prices, but is let down by poor communication and lax delivery times.
The site is covered in banners that say: "Want this by xx date? Order it in xx hours", and advises shipping times of 1 to 3 days. I ordered a wooden kitchen for my son's birthday with plenty of time to spare. The day before his birthday the order hadn't even been shipped yet, so I emailed customer services and they didn't even respond to or acknowledge my message. The item did arrive a few days later (well after my son's birthday) and while I am happy with the product itself, it was disappointing to pay £3.95 to ship a £160 item and for it not to arrive in time as promised, or even receive any communication about why it was delayed. Not replying to customer emails is also extremely poor, and for that reason I won't be buying from Bright New Things again.
