I completed the Pearson HNC in Business with Brighton School of Business and Management, and unfortunately my experience after completing the course has been extremely disappointing.
It has now been 34 weeks since I finished the qualification, and I still have not received my certificate. When I enrolled, I was told certificates would normally be issued within approximately 12 weeks of completion.
I first contacted BSBM about this issue on 5 October 2025 and have since submitted a complaint and multiple follow-ups. After receiving no resolution, I also raised a complaint with Pearson (the awarding organisation) on 21 January 2026. Despite this, the matter remains unresolved and I have still not received my certificate or a clear explanation for the delay which has had academic, professional and financial consequences for me.
I am now having to escalate the matter to Ofqual because neither BSBM nor Pearson seem willling to resolve the issue.
I would strongly advise against studying with this education centre.

I have completed the HND in Business and Management course more than 10 months ago, up till now I have no certificate for this due to a disagreement between Pearson and BSBM. Absolutely no feedback from BSBM until I started pressuring them at the back end of last year.
I have had multiple emails with the school now and a few very vague replies from them, up till now I have no defined timeline of when this will be closed out.
I note in other replies they ask you to call the school, do not waste your time, there is no point and no joy at this end.
I note there are others in the same position as myself, its totally unprofessional that a school purported to be specialist in management are handling potential managers in such a way.
If you are unable to fulfil the original scope of works, you should refund the students.
Do the correct thing and get the certificates or return students funds.
My final take would be, its actually a sad reflection as the tutor on the course was first class, I would rate him as a 5 if possible. The school itself doesn't even merit a 1 star due to the way this has been handled.
I wrote them 3 times to get an answer. I finished my HND last summer and still have no certification. I contacted them in January and got no reply until today 27th march. Very poor service.
Since my last bad review, I got a reply, and after contacting the school again, no contact again. Very unhaooy with this school and how they treat the students.

Terrible school. They don’t respond to emails, addresses are unverifiable. They are disgracing professional institutions such as Pearson and Ofqual. These are scammers please do not enroll with them for your own sake.

i studied the level 7 qual in 2023 the course material is very poor leaving you to search the internet for other sources of information, the tutor was supposed to be available on the phone and email but would only speak when it suited him through the moodle portal giving one word answers which was against the student handbook, enjoyed the course but support material and guidance was non existent

The tutor did not follow the handbook and had different expectations as per the layout. There was no support for the course and everything was done solitary. I had no other students to link with, as the groups were empty and I raised this and was ignored. The tutor would respond and mark in dribs and drabs, so you were constantly going back over what you had changed. The tutor insisted on one space between sentences and made a huge thing out of it - this is against RSA typing standard and very frustrating!

A very enjoyable but hard work required for the Business Studies Course I completed with the college. The tutoring I had was excellent and the feedback was extremely thoughtful and timely.
For any Manager who has not completed this course but it intends to be in a Senior Managerial Capacity or who already is in one then this course would be invaluable.

They will no longer answer the phone or respond to emails once your payment is received.

It was a great experience to study CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice. It helped me learn the importance of delegating, working collaboratively with others, and cultivating an inclusive leadership and culture, while managing strategic risks. I have just completed a level 4 qualification in CMI Management & Leadership with BSBM and I found my experience to be fantastic. Very simple and easy course and materials. The course I did was self-taught but there's always a tutor on hand to answer questions. Will be looking to do a further qualification with BSBM in the near future.

The 6 week time line for modules is great for keeping you focused, however, student services recognise life happens and will assist you where ever possible. Each learning outcome has supplementary reading as well as guidance content for the assignment. My tutors have been both generally quick to response to any queries. Overall I really recommend BSBM, super flexible, well administered and generally great place to further your knowledge.
