Mshed Bristol Museum by the harbour is…
Mshed Bristol Museum by the harbour is excellent and full of items to bring about nostalgia. I wanted to advise people about the Mshed cafe. Museum 5 stars, cafe 1 star, hence 3 above.
I went to the cafe as wanted to support the museum, it was not busy, my daughter and I went into the back room and were the only people there (that was fine). I ordered a toasted sandwich, it took at least 20 minutes (and they werent busy), my daughter went up to ask where it was, probably when the chef remembered he had put it into the toasted sandwich maker. It was burnt. We didnt have time to wait another 20 minutes. One of the staff then came into the room we were and started cleaning, banging the broom, making a lot of noise (not as if they needed a table), which was disruptive, then as she passed by knocked my handbag onto the floor and contents over the floor. She blamed me for having my handbag close to the edge of the table. She then came back and started clattering around again. I asked her to let me finished my food, and she said she needed to clean, so she carried on. My daughter works in hospitality and told me that if a customer is still eating their meal, they are told not to clear the surrounding table until the customer has finished food. We showed her the burnt sandwich and she said we could have taken it back, but as it had taken so long the first time (we which we said) I had decided to eat it burnt side and all. There is many great cafes in Bristol, this isn't one of them. Museum great, cafe staff need training in basic hospitality and maybe by the chef a timer? Spoilt our day to some extent. But museum itself was a great visit
