Be warned that it’s a scam site. When you send items back they decline delivery so that they can say the item never arrived

Total scam. Company not UK based as described. Item took weeks to arrive and was terrible quality. £40 jacket costs £20 to return to China and then I never received my refund. Avoid at all costs.

Oh, how I wish I’d read these reviews before I wasted £120 on cheap and nasty tat.

These scammers pretend to be Bristol-based but they are in fact based in China.

I bought sandals and three tops. The goods arrived weeks later and were absolutely appalling. The shoes were the wrong size as well.

Only when you try to return the items do you discover that ‘Bristol Threads’ are based in China and they insist on you returning the goods to them there.

After a lot of nonsense emails from them claiming to offer great customer service, they then started offering me various silly deals to try to get me to keep the rubbish. I refused every offer. They even told me they had refunded the money and I needed to wait 10 days for the refund to appear on my account. Of course, it never arrived.

I contacted my credit card company and got the money back. I’d urge anyone to do the same if you are unfortunate enough to fall victim to these crooks.

Horrible, horrible company. Lesson learned!

Awful material and not as described. Poor customer service. Avoid at all costs. Based in China but make you think they’re uk based. You have to pay for returns and then they don’t give you your money back.

Do not order from Bristol Threads !
They send wrong sizes, quality is poor , to get a refund if at all is non existent , they are based in China and a nightmare to deal with

DO PERSIST WITH GETTING A FULL REFUND. I REFUSED TO ACCEPT THEIR OFFER OF A 20% REFUND , THEN THEY OFFERED 30% REFUND. I REJECTED THIS. I THEN SAID THEY WERE BREAKING THE LAW AND HAD BREACHED THE Consumer Rights Act 2015. I ASKED FOR THE NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS OF THE MANAGER OF THE COMPANY AND HEAD OF CUSTOMER RELATIONS IN ORDER TO REPORT TO TRADING STANDARDS AND THE POLICE FRAUD DEPARTMENT. TWO WEEKS AND 30 EMAILS LATER - YESTERDAY I RECEIVED A FULL REFUND AND NO DETAILS OF THE MANAGER.

I wouldn’t even give them one star but the trust pilot system wouldn’t allow me option of zero stars

Bristol Threads is a complete scam. Bristol Threads is a totally fake cover for a business in china . Bristol threads does not exist .

I ordered two pairs of Denisa™ – Orthopaedic Leather Sandals

When they arrived they were both fakes.
Plastic not leather
Stank of chemicals
Higher heals
Different design
Horrible

I have sent about 30 complaint emails asking for a refund and every reply refused . In the end I asked for managers name and contact details so that I could report to police fraud team and reading standards.

Today I received a full refund

Posing as a local Bristol company but clearly operating from China. Describing their shoes as premium etc but when they arrive they are cheap, smelly and plasticky. They are clearly making their items very cheap in China and then marking up the prices massively to sell in the UK. I checked if returns were possible, which they assured me they were - only to find that when I needed to return shoes, that I would have to return them to China or keep them for a fraction of a return. Such a scam, it should be illegal to say you can return an item, only to reveal after purchasing that it would have to be sent to China. I couldn't even sell the shoes because they were so badly made, I had to give them to a charity shop. The positive reviews on their website must be fake. Don't waste your money!

Really wish I had checked here before ordering a pair of shoes from this company. Shoes were way too small and stink of nasty chemicals. Wanted to return them for a full refund and got offered a 10%, 20% and then 30% partial refund (and lucky me I get to keep the shoes!) in stead of a full refund. Absolutely awful, please stay away!

Appalling company. Sent the wrong size shoes that stank of chemicals and refused to pay for me to return them offering only a discount of 20% then 30% when I refused. This is in breach of UK Consumer Laws and I have alerted my local trading standards office to this company. Had I simply changed my mind I would have been happy to return them at my own expense but not when they are at fault.

If I could leave a minus review I would. Ordered a size 6 sandal and received a size 5. The sandals are awful, cheap plastic and badly made. After numerous emails I have not received one response.

If I could give no stars I would - awful service took ages to arrive only for product to be incorrect order (size wrong) refuse to refund unless I paid $30 shipping return to HK! This is a total scam - product is poor, smells really bad, synthetic - do not waste your money !!

Sandals poor quality, described as leather, but plastic, avoid avoid avoid, couldn’t get a full refund/return. Agreed to an offer of a 20% refund after numerous email yielded nothing else.

My experience is the same as the majority of people on here.
I ordered some orthopedic sandals from what I thought was a shop based in Bristol.
They took 2 weeks to arrive and on checking tracking information it was clear they had been shipped from China.
I knew before I'd even opened the package they would be poor quality, there was no weight to them.
The wedge and soles are cheap plastic. Definitely not orthopedic.
And to top it all I ordered a size 6 and have been sent a size 5.
I messaged the company for details of how to return and obtain a refund and was asked to send photos of the item.
I did this and stressed I do not want the sandals as they are poor quality, and again asked for return details. Now, they have gone silent.
Do not use this company. They are posing as something they are not.

Like many I wished I had looked at reviews of Bristol Threads before I made my purchase. The photo and what arrived were completely different. Such poor quality and I would argue they are breaching trade descriptions as the photo did not reflect the item I received in anyway. I have tried to return it and emailed 12 times - each time to be told I would be offered a partial refund of between 5-30% not to send it back. I have asked for the Return Address details but these have never been provided. the company is not based in Bristol or even the UK. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY OR BUSINESS.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I doubt they even know where Bristol is. The sandals I got were so low quality then to return you have to send to China!!! At you own cost! Properly a shower of S*** company out to scam you!!!!

Do not trust Instagram Bristolthreads. I purchased some lovely shoes at least on the picture they were. I received the wrong size and was disappointed with the quality. I requested to return the goods but was told that I would only get 20% back so £7 for £35 I paid for the shoes. I had checked their website and it looked very genuine so trusted that the transactions would be simple. Very annoyed with this Chinese company who basically is fooling us pretending to be a bona fide Uk shoe shop. I have not returned the shoes but they do not fit me anyway so basically have lost the money I paid for bar £7.

The sandals were not leather and had a very poor sole.
The shoes smell really badly of PVC and are light weight. They were advertised as orthopaedic but are definitely not! The company guarantee a full returns policy. When I asked for a refund they said I had to return to china and the cost would be more than the price of the shoes. In the end I had to take a 20% discount and have a completely unwearable pair of sandals.Rubbish don’t buy from them!

Please do not use this company.

They do not follow the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and therefore will not refund you when they send you items that are the incorrect size and damaged. They ask that you pay for the return or offer you a % off the price. I am reporting them to Trading Standards for investigation and ask other people affected by this dishonesty to also report them so that others do not fall foul to their service.
