Contract up for renewal and offered FF…

Contract up for renewal and offered FF at an attractive price so signed up or it. Getting the fibre from the road to house a bit tortuous but eventually achieved. Router had to be moved from original location as dictated by Open Reach. In new location all good except for the first floor where WiFi was weak or totally absent. Before the router provided wifi throughout the house. Contacted BT/EE told could be resolved but would cost more by adding repeater (?) to the contract. Argued that the reduced performance was not of my doing and the so called upgrade was a backward step. Rang again same response. Tried again and this time offered a repeater (?) for 6 months free then £10 a month. So in summary router had to go where Open Reach decided and not where it was originally and the reduced service could only be resolved by paying more. All Open Reach engineers were polite, efficient and friendly. No problem but they are backed by a company with terrible communication skills.

Horrific service

Horrific service, telephony agent consistently lied to me. Even pretended to be disconnected by going silent but I could hear them in the background. Eventually they spoke after I made it clear I could hear them and would not be ending the call.

Avoid EE

Avoid EE. Wish I hadn’t gone with this company. The coverage of the router is worse that my 10 yr old one. The external fitting of a black cable on a white wall is unsightly, loose and slapdash. Sent a complaint, where after 5 days got a text from a Mamoud to say expect an immediate call. There was no contact. Today I received an email to say they have closed the complaint themselves. As someone has stated, they really do not have customer care in mind. Awful.

EE don't care they are a disgrace

When the Engineer arrived I checked that the new installation of full fibre would not effect my landline .I was assured there would be no problem .My landline is unable to receive incoming calls fro the date of installation 13th Nat and will not be available till 31st May. I spent hours trying to rectify this and having failed I escalated the complaint and received a message on 17th May .Nothing further until May 25th when I received a text telling me my complaint was closed. The issue is that my EE mobile signal is very poor and so I am reliant on my landline.I made EE aware if a very serious family crisis which meant I required access to my phone.

EE.....DO NOT WANT DEAF CUSTOMERS.

EE.....DO NOT WANT DEAF CUSTOMERS.
I was considering signing up for a broadband account with them so I had a friend phone them for me, she told the person at EE that she was phoning for a friend who was deaf and asked the person to send me an email.
She was told that EE don't communicate by email and that they need to speak to me on the phone, she again told the person that I was deaf and was told if I can't speak to them on the phone I can't open a account.
MY ADVICE IS TO STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS APPALLING BUSINESS

EE Provider

2nd review after following instructions and help. Followed the instructions to the letter….still doesn’t work. Is it a dodgy piece of equipment or just the company and its equipment that is the issue.
Tried to get help that was a waste of time too.
DO NOT BUY EE services get SKY instead it’s guaranteed to give you what you need.
Guess they won’t give me my money back.

EE SECURITY TOTALLY LACKING. EVEN ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN PROTOCOL.

MINUS ONE STAR.
EE SECURITY TOTALLY LACKING. I am in communication with someone who claims to be from the Executive Office of EE following someone scamming me through their system. However, they will not engage with my complaint until I provde two letters from my mother's maiden name. This is how the scammer convinced me in the first place. However, it dawned on me that this provides no security whatsoever as anyone could just say 'yes' that's correct or find the information on records. The same goes for 'best friend', etc. as in effect they are not identifying themselves at all.
But it gets worse as just did a search and look what came up: MARCH 2024. MUM’S THE WORD: EE TO REMOVE ‘HACKABLE’ MOTHER’S MAIDEN NAME FROM SECURITY QUESTIONS AS DATA SHOWS TWO-THIRDS OF BRITS STILL USE IT FOR SENSITIVE ACCOUNTS
New research from EE shows 64% of Brits still use their mother’s maiden name as a security question for bank, utility, or telco accounts
EE will remove the option from security questions and is encouraging customers to set up stronger protection such as two-factor-authentication
EE expects to block over 10 million attempts to scam its customers this month, having blocked 3.3 million texts, and 4.9 million calls around Mother’s Day last year*
EE is today announcing that it will permanently remove the use of ‘mother’s maiden name’ as a security question for all customers across EE and BT, in a bid to enhance protection against the rising threat posed by scammers. The change follows new research from EE that suggests two-thirds (64%) of the British public still use it as a security backstop for sensitive personal accounts, such as banking, utilities, and other subscriptions.
So the very people I have a problem with are actually permitting it, no, insisting that I use this to identify them and permit them to access my account. The whole thing is crazy as surely they have all this information in order to run my account and take my money! I have refused but they are will do nothing until I have supplied these letters yet again. By now everyone at EE must know my mother's maiden name!!
Added to this EE have repeated just closed my complaint and I have gone round in circles, as have many other customers.
I AM RELUCTANTLY HAVING TO RESORT TO THIS AS I NOW HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE. OTHER CUSTOMERS BEWARE, NOT JUST WITH EE, BUT ANYWHERE WHERE SECURITY IS BY YOU, AND NOT THE PERSON CONTACTING YOU, ASKING FOR LETTERS FROM A WORD/NAME OR A CODE - ANYONE CAN CREATE ONE.

Appalling- Broadband not working they keep hiding behind the fact that download speeds to the house are within the range. Technical help keeps contradicting themselves and each time it takes over an hour to speak to someone.
Annoyed because never an issue with BT was pushed to EE and it’s very poor.

Forced to move from excellent BT service to EE. Non-existent customer service and support. Broadband won’t cover whole house. Had to buy-own extensions as only provided with one but walls are thick in old house. TV box constantly freezes. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Why couldn’t I have stayed on BT.

Ee is disgusting

Ee is disgusting. The customer advisor was unhelpful! Their customer service is poor. They do not take complaints seriously or resolve them. They over charge on your bills through no fault of your own. Their app does not work to pay your phone bill on time. The early exit fees are a rip off for what you get and since poor connection and signal joining EE was the worst thing I have ever done! Since I joined them nothing but issues and they do not care! Now I am stuck with them until next year and when I am supposed to pay ten pounds a month I am paying more. I would not recommend EE to anyone! Avoid like the plague. Go to any other network like Vodafone, Tesco or O2. You have been warned.

Extremely disappointed with EE Full…

Extremely disappointed with EE Full Fibre – Poor reliability and customer service.

After 5 months on EE's 1Gb Full Fibre plan, I am deeply frustrated. The service has already suffered two major outages. Having previously spent 8 years with Virgin Media—where I only experienced two outages in total, EE’s reliability is shockingly poor.

Furthermore, EE's customer support and communication are practically non-existent:

No Communication: Unlike competitors who provide real-time updates, EE sends no notifications during an outage.

Unacceptable Repair Times: Their policy allows up to 2 working days for repairs. For a 24/7 service, this standard is completely unacceptable.

Misleading Speeds & Extra Fees: While advertised as a 1Gb service, they only guarantee 200Mbps per room. Despite this lower guarantee, I am still forced to pay an additional monthly fee for a WiFi extender to get a stable connection.

EE provides a subpar service that does not live up to its marketing. I highly regret switching.

‘The computer says no’ sums up EE’s broadband installation system. I moved to a new home and signed up to EE broadband ( approx 55MB speed). I received the router etc, and after being talked through the set-up on 4 lengthy calls the line is still not connecting, and they are refusing to send out an engineer, because their computer says the line is working I cancelled and went with Sky for cheaper and full fibre 100 MB at £22 per month.
