A wheel on my lawnmower came off. I went to Broadfield mowers Sheffield after a phone call to them. They were really helpful both on the phone and in the shop. I spent only £1-50p on a part but they took the time to explain how to fit it. I have bought from this shop before and will certainly do in future.

We were looking for a new lawnmower and strimmer but had no idea where to start as its our first large garden. We visited b&q who had no staff with any knowledge and recommended we tried Broadfield mowers. It was quite busy and seemed a little short staffed as there was just one lady behind the desk. We had a look around and waited to be served, the lady was extremely helpful. She talked us through multiple options, asked us lots of questions about our garden and recommended an Ego mower and strimmer. We never used battery stuff before so we were a little unsure if it would mansge the very long grass, but we tried it out this weekend and we are really impressed! The strimmer was so easy to line, and the mower did a fantastic job and tidying up and collecting the debris from strimming. Forgot the ladys name but thank you very much! We will be back if we need to add anything else to our collection.

I’ve just called into Broadfield Mowers to spend a few hundred pounds on a leaf blower. I walked in and said hi and hardly got a response from the woman and guy behind the counter. They looked at me like I was an alien. I’ve then said I’d like to buy a leaf blower and could they help me and they replied “No we close in five minutes”. I feel sorry for the poor guy who runs this business who owns this business with a couple of idiots like that working for him. Needless to say, I’m now in B&Q buying one from there.

Certainly not the easiest or most pleasant shopping experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered the Stihl RL 540 Scarifier on the 15/03/25 and waited until the 25/03/25 and still hadn’t received it despite paying £15 for standard delivery between 4-6 working days. I called and was told by quite an obnoxious lady who said that the shipping didn’t include weekend days which seemed odd because, my calculations showed that it was 8 week days since I placed my order. She abruptly told me that it wasn’t an ‘exact science’ and that my order would be sent out today and would arrive in 2 days - 10 days since I ordered it. I said it would’ve been nice to have had an update instead of chasing them, I got no reply to this but if I had to guess, she probably rolled her eyes.
I can only hope there’s no issues with it, it seems dealing with this company is not an easy thing to do based on other reviews I’ve read. I certainly won’t be a returning customer and it’s no surprise why small independents go under given the low-level customer service they offer.
Do yourself a favour and buy from somewhere else.

Really happy with the purchase and level of customer service. I had made an error on a rushed order but it was handled well and they were very large on helping me out. If more places were like this the Internet would be a better place to shop. Thank you for the support and help

The owner's response to my review is utter nonsense; he's just money hungry! Lost a valuable customer over £26! Keep in mind, I frequented this shop multiple times due to a nearby project. However, my encounter with the owner was appalling—arrogant and ignorant. I never demanded anything for free or even mentioned a review he’s just trying to save his back side on this review so him and his staff can rob some more elderly people with there over priced stock, as he claims to spin the review positively. I simply requested a refund for a faulty product, backed by a receipt showing the item was purchased half a hour ago but he refused to cooperate and has no solution for me apart from to leave the shop Thankfully, I've discovered Gunsons at S6 2BH—a genuine business with excellent service and real Sheffield values, not some flashy, scamming establishment profiting off ROBBING vulnerable seniors."

I found Broadfield friendly and easy to deal with. The product I ordered was well priced, was delivered quickly and when it went wrong Broadfileld handled the issue quickly and satisfactorily.

I took my non-operating chainsaw to Broadfield mowers. I was dealt with in a friendly manner and given good advice. Even more though, my saw was mended on-the-spot, at no charge. Christmas came early!

Recently purchased a new lawn mower. Competitively priced and very helpful advice when I rang them.

Broadfield Mowers have delivered a hedge cutter to me the day following my order. The attachment was at a competitive price and low delivery cost. I am impressed and delighted with the service I received.

I took my Suffolk Punch mower in to Broadfieldmowers for a sharpen and set having purchased it from them in2019. This service had apparently gone up from £40 +VAT since last year when I originally asked to £50 +VAT this year. Unfortunately there was a 5 week backlog as they were so busy but I left it with them on 8th March. Just over 5 weeks later they called me to advise that a bottom blade was required as it was too badly worn. I said this was odd as I'd only used the mower for one season but asked the to replace it if was really necessary. I collected the mower a couple of days later and paid the bill of £111.92 (£50 + £43.27 for the blade + VAT) When I got home I noticed the machine had obviously been jet washed as some of the paint had been blasted off but worse than this, the mower wouldn't run, it cut out as soon as the choke was turned off. I phoned Broadfield and they said I'd have to book it in again, with another 5 week wait, and the cost would depend on what the problem was. Not wanting to wait again, I called another local firm, Spa Engineering who said they would be able to look in 2 weeks. I took the mower this morning, Saturday 1st May and they called me back a couple of hours later saying the problem was fixed. It was dirt in the carburettor and a very easy fix. I showed them the old bottom blade that Broadfield had replaced and they confirmed that it had plenty of life in it, was as straight as a die and could easily be sharpened. A new blade would also only be around £20.
I feel cheated by the service given by Broadfield and I am disgusted they not only over charged me but they returned the mower without even checking it was running.
I definitely would not recommend them

Enquired Wednesday evening about whether a particular mower was available and Covid-Secure arrangements for colection and/or return to have a reply first thing the following morning answering all of my questions.

Rang firm to place order a couple of hours later and was asked if I'd like them to assemble the mower. After checking that this wouldn't affect any potential return, I asked them to assemble the mower and collected it a couple of hours later.

Collection was both efficient and straightforward.

Happy to recommend Broadfield Mowers for price, product availability and customer service.

Gave me helpful advice choosing petrol mower, and suggested that if I phoned an order the following morning they could deliver the same day as I live locally, which they did. This is the second purchase I've made from them, and been very happy with their service on both occasions.

I contacted Broadfield Mowers recently and even though their website stated they were only working a couple of days a week due to Covid-19, they got back to me within a couple of hours. A friendly chap called Don replied confirming stock and a likely delivery date. I duly ordered and true to their word, the delivery arrived a couple of days later.
Truly exceptional service during difficult times so a massive thanks and thumbs up from me. Keep up the good work guys!!

I was looking for a new petrol mower as my 30 year old Qualcast cylinder mower was no longer viable to repair. I looked on line for a new mower & settled on Hayter Harrier 41. I decided to go to Broadfield Mowers rather than buy on line because it was relatively local & I thought if anything went wrong the supplier was close by. I went to the shop & to my surprise it was actually cheaper than any on line supplier. Also they delivered it free of charge (the next day), put in fuel & oil at no charge & gave me a demonstration on delivery. What service!!

I have used Broadfield-mowers on a number of occasions and always found their courtesy and service to be first rate. I Maintain five mowers and a couple of strimmers all used in maintaining a local Parish Church grave yard. So to be able to obtain spares quickly and at a competitive price is essential, and this is where Broadfield-mowers fit the bill for me.
I recently purchased a STIHL leaf blower from them. I happened to be passing their shop out of normal working hours. However there was one person still there sorting out Xmas Trees. He stopped what he was doing and fixed me up with the required piece of kit. Most others would have said come back some other time. All part of the service

The staff at Broadfield mowers are friendly and knowledgeable. My equipment was set up and ready to use in 20 minutes, with oil and fuel included. I have no problem recommending them to everyone.

They gave me the right advice when I was buying my lawnmower. They ensured I had the best deal and have been available for advice since then.

This year I have purchased a Mountfield mulching mower along with a top of the range Stihl multi kombo including several attachments. The staff gave great advice on which pieces of kit would be best for the work we undertake, They set everything up and things are ready to go. Excellent service.
