A 5 star mattress - love this brand!

I am also victim to a mattress purchase by the defunct company "Brook + Wilde". My mattress sags and does not dissipate heat. The new company, "Brook +Wilde Sleep" will not honour the 10-year guarantee. Yet the new company website still shows endorsements of their mattress for the previous company. So is this a new company or not? I hope others will learn from my mistake: do not trust a long-term guarantee from a brand new company.

Whilst I love the mattress, which I have only had for 2 years, there is an issue with the mattress protector that encases it. When I came to move house and use the handles on the mattress, they immediately ripped. Whilst the mattress is usable, it is damaged and can no longer be moved using said handles and the internal material is now exposed and therefore susceptible to more damage each time it is moved or the fitted sheet pulled underneath it.

I contacted Brook and Wilde to see if I could get a new cover, only to receive a standard 'new ownership' email. When I pointed out that whilst they might be new owners and I understood I was not technically one of their customers, I felt it peculiar that they took such a hard stance considering they were still selling the exact same product, with the exact same branding and historical customer reviews. Surely they would wish to offer some form of decent customer service to a client who actually wants to repurchase for their spare bed? But I have heard nothing since, which is over two weeks.

I have never complained before but was genuinely sad that the mattress I saved up for and considered an investment purchase, is now significantly damaged and will deteriorate much quicker.

All I need is a replacement zip cover to solve the issue!

Due to the appalling customer service I will not repurchase and have stopped recommending the mattress - which is a real shame as I genuinely was so please with it until now.

Product delivered as promised on the day given. I was called by driver with the eta. The mattress has been very comfortable for the few weeks I have had it. A bit spongey if you sit on the edge bit that's picking at straws. Happy customer.

We’ve recently tried ‘several' brands of mattress, and had sincerely hoped this Brook + Wilde “soft” version we opted for, would be the last! It isn’t (for me) the hoped for comfort. I’m still experiencing aches in shoulders hips, although numb hands, seems to have abated!
This is obviously purely personal, everything about the mattress seems Ok, it’s just my feelings.

Absolute con with inferior products and meaningless guarantees. Avoid!

We purchase their top of the range mattress in 2022. Within 6 weeks it had sagged. It was replaced for the same and it sagged again within a matter of weeks. They replaced it with a cheaper model (and refunded the difference) but this mattress has now dipped and sagged beyond belief. It lasted just over 18month. I contacted them to change it to be told they have gone into receivership. The “new” company will therefore not honour any guarantee. As we bought it on a debit card we sadly have no consumer rights! I’m stuck with a crappy overpriced mattresses with no guarantee.

Ignore all the rave reviews from the big brands - clearly a PR spin to overshadow their shoddy product. Despite their claim that it’s a new company, they are still happy dining out on product reviews dated in 2021.

Do yourself a favour and spend your money with a company who can stand the test of time and honour the guarantees they promise.

Good mattress, however there was a small mark in the middle. I did not receive any notification of delivery and it was therefore wedged in porch with the consequence of difficulty in getting into porch to open front door. Apart from the above no problem with the mattress.

Paid £1700 for The Ultima Sleep Mattress which is supposed to be soft. Customer service ignored my first emails then told me they did send me the soft, despite my question being where does it say so on the mattress.it doesn't. This mattress is a lot harder than the medium one it replaced. I also see others on the net saying the same, no reply to second email at all. Abysmal!

In answer to the reply below, What's the point the last person I spoke to told me it was the soft Mattress and refused to inform me where it states that on the Mattress, because it doesn't, so if it's the soft one, which is in fact hard, there is nothing you can do is there.

We own a range of Brook + Wilde mattresses, they're all great, but the higher-end one is truly exceptional. Here are our comfort ratings for the three mattresses we own:
Lux - medium (7/10), much softer than expected but still comfortable
Elite - firm (9/10)
Suprema - firm (100000/10) - This is honestly the most comfortable mattress we've ever owned.

The customer service we received was outstanding. From the helpful online chat representative who guided us in choosing the right mattress, to the responsive customer service team who answered our email queries before delivery, and the two exceptionally friendly and helpful delivery personnel.

It's a British company that takes environmental responsibility seriously. They often have sales with better than average discounts too. Overall great experience.

The mattress is the most comfortable one we've ever had! So worth the money and the service was great.

Incredibly impressed with the communication from Brook + Wilde throughout the entire process, also very grateful for the truly no fuss 200 night comfort trial matress exchange. I found the medium Elite a bit too soft, and upon contacting them an exchange to a firm mattress was immediately arranged. The mattress is very well built and consistent.

I do wish there was a choice between medium or firm though, as there is a drastic difference between the medium (5/12) where I just sink a bit too much into the matress and firm (7/12) version where it's so firm I feel like I'm sleeping arching slightly backwards. Since those are the only choices avaiable for the Elite matress, I ended up getting a Panda topper to soften the firm a little bit for the perfect firmness for me. Admittedly there seems to be more firmness options for the more expensive ranges, but it was far cheaper to just add a topper to the Elite so I just went with that in the end.

We got one of these mattresses a couple of years ago. It is not good at all and we have back ache. The company went into liquidation in 2023 to avoid replacing under their 10 year warranty and have now relaunched with the same products and sam name. Look it up. Total scam. i would not trust them

Brook & Wilde were recommended to us, and after some research we chose a Suprema King Firm. Delivery was seamless and the comfort is outstanding.

There is a nice bottle of wine on it's way to the guy who recommended them to me!

Two mattresses delivered both faulty, Bed frame was erected with vital pieces missing and we were not Informed ( by the person who built it in first place) of this until the 2nd faulty mattress had been removed, This purchase was made in February but the saga began beginning of April. Finally refund was made beginning of July, although we are still awaiting refund for unopened bedding which they deny receiving and now not answering our emails.
We never slept on the bed or used any of the mattress as were so faulty in the three months we had possession of goods.AND we were obviously unable to use our own bedroom during this time. The worst company we have ever dealt with.So many calls, visits, waiting in on visits that never happened, emails and a huge amount of time trying to sort this out. No compensation (in fact they still owe us money).

We are very happy with the mattress, very comfortable.

I felt that my previous mattress was too firm so I ordered a soft Elite one from Brook + Wilde because they offer soft, medium and firm mattress with a 200 day trial period. Although it felt a bit strange at first I now feel that I get a better nights sleep. The price was also competitive for this type of hybrid mattress. The mattress arrived within three weeks and was delivered and unpacked by two man team in the chosen bedroom.

Brilliant company to do business with. Very helpful and excellent service. My wife thinks the mattress is life changing for her having had a back operation 12 years ago . Despite trying many mattresses ,none were comfortable for her until now.

Purchased the Elite Mattress from Brook & Wilde Sleep company.
Little while to arrive, but that wasn't an issue.
But slow in communication in terms of tracking how the mattress was coming along, however, received a message to "Accept or Decline" the particular delivery date.
Received an email & text on the day to state a time slot and a courtesy call from the delivery guys.
Mattress was placed in the designated room and packaging taken away by the guys.
The mattress is so comfy - even if it is the "basic" and cheapest of the range... I can only dream of what the most expensive one is like to sleep on!
No complaints here. Perfect mattress. Hopefully the longevity of it is just as good.
