Impotent, Spineless, Slippery

When thousands of building society members fell victim to the negligent selling of inappropriate trusts and estate planning services from their member building society members, the BSA stands by and does…nothing.
Actions by their members have caused huge financial losses and generational detriment. Despite publishing hopeful titles like ‘Your Rights as a Building Society Member’, when called upon to enforce these rights - of communication, putting members’ interest first, having a say in how the building society runs… the BSA does nothing. No teeth, no interest, backs its members in the face of overwhelming evidence against them.
If you are looking for the BSA to protect your consumer rights, think again and Google ‘Building Society Scandal’ and ‘Philips Trust Scandal’. Good luck.

I wish I bought a TV from evil Amazon than BSA Trading

As much as I hate Amazon and Bezos and what he stands for and how Amazon treats it workers---no time to urinate on company time or get penalized.

I will buy from Amazon again before I try another company like BSA Trading Inc.

I bought a Supersonic 15" LED Smart TV from BSA because I did not want to break the union request at Amazon to not purchase until after the end of April 2025. The TV sold on Amazon for the same price as it sold on BSA. Both had free delivery.

I want to return it:

1) Sound is bad. The “base plugs in easily, “but you cannot reverse and pull the base out.” The TV does not go back in he box.
2) I have to pay 100% of postage to return it.
3) I have to pay 20% restocking fee.

I would have been better off buying it at Amazon. No repackaging hassle, no postage, and no restocking.

With the USPS as high as it is and 20% restock, I am out more money if I try to return it; plus I can’t return it because the base will not come off and if the base cannot come off, the TV will not fit in the box.

TO TOP OFF THE EXPERIENCE--
A HUGE, PASTED SILVER SIGN THAT SAYS AMAZON IS POSTED ON THE BOX.

GO FIGURE?

The Building Societies Association lied

The Building Societies Association was quoted on Rip Off Britain today as saying that a small number of building societies were involved with a very small number of customers in the 'building societies scandal' (Philips Trust Corporation) and did not get involved in promoting or selling the products and services that the "other companies" did. There were at least 8 Building Societies and over 2500 customer duped into setting up trusts by their building societies. The building societies actively promoted and marketed the products and services including the trust set up. Our "other" company was the Newcastle Building Societies wholly owned subsidiary company "Newcastle Financial Advisors Ltd.". They (BSA and the Building Societies) lied to their customers, the FCA, the FOS and the media. Do not trust your building society!
