We have had two full level 3 surveys from BTB and they have been fabulous both times. They have gone above and beyond both times. Such a professional service. Marisa is just wonderful. And we even got advice from the surveyor afterwards who kindly phoned us to discuss the results further. Couldn't recommend more highly !

Good pricing, fast turnaround time, and fantastic communications from Marisa - which clinched it for me personally. The report was detailed and in my case re-assuring that the property I am buying is realistically priced and not hiding a multitude of issues.

BTB have been extremely useful in helping us make a decision on buying our next home. They provide a very detailed report and give you confidence in the information they provide. Very happy to recommend BTB and would definitely use them again. They also have very competitive fees, which is a bonus.

Extremely disappointed with the survey conducted on our property. The surveyor arrived an hour earlier than the scheduled appointment. When asked to return at the agreed time, he instead chose to start assessing the exterior. During the inspection, he left visible damp meter prong marks on various areas of the property.

The report was alarmist, stating that the property was a “questionable purchase” and advising our buyers to renegotiate the price. It also claimed that our extension, built in 1978, was “borderline unstable” and recommended demolition and reconstruction as the only course of action. This unnecessarily alarmed our buyers, almost causing them to withdraw from the purchase. Ultimately, they reduced their offer by £40,000 due to the report’s findings.

To address these concerns, we spent £700 on a more qualified structural engineer, who confirmed that the surveyor’s conclusions were overly cautious and incorrect. The engineer stated that the extension was structurally sound and only required minor repairs.

This experience caused immense stress and significant financial loss, all of which could have been avoided with a more accurate and responsible survey. I would not recommend this surveyor.

The booking process was easy, the survey took place when I was told it would, and the report itself was very detailed. My purchase ended up falling through however I am confident that based on the issues identified in the report I would have been able to negotiate a lower price for the property. Will definitely use again when I find another property!

Super friendly and helpful. We needed a survey done pretty quickly and even though I phoned at the weekend, BTB found availability very quickly and were able to complete the survey that week! Marisa has also been amazing keeping us updated and advising us what will happen. Highly recommend.

Very easy online process. Excellent communication. Marisa dealt with all enquiries very quickly and patiently.
Level 3 report very thorough and detailed. But we were still able to understand it!
Uncovered a lot of hidden issues particularly damp which we were apprehensive of finding.

From the start the communication with BTB was excellent. The level 2 survey was so detailed it was not far from a level 3. We have had a level 3 on a different property earlier this year.
We would definitely use BTB again.

This company is brilliant value. I always felt I was in the hands of professionals, we're based in the South West and they allocated a local surveyor who left no stone unturned in our new property. Steve did the survey on our purchase. The report he produced was absolutely first class. Detailed easy to understand professionally produced with detailed supporting evidence and crystal clear photos. He identified all that was good bad and ugly. One particular aspect was a critical deal breaker concerning a structural issue. Thanks to Steve we have managed to rectify the issue to everyone's satisfaction. I instructed BTB to carry out a level 3 survey on a house prior to purchase. I was able to book in the survey within 2 weeks of submitting the instruction and signing the contract which I thought was really good.

Marisa in the office is brilliant. She was kind, responded rapidly (even in the evening) and very efficient.

The survey itself was brilliant. The surveyor spent nearly 4 hours and produced a very thorough 115 page report and was able to find issues I could then liase with the vendor about to come to a mutual agreement. He even offered a number to call him for any clarification.

BTB was also very good in price in comparison to other surveyors. It was not the most expensive by far but was also not quite the cheapest but offered a competitive price. I was glad I didn’t go for the cheapest provider as BTB were so good.

I didn’t have to pay the balance until the report has been prepared and was ready for upload although I paid before.
