No stock order

A bit of a strange system. I was able to order something that was not in stock. But I have received a call and an email with options for refund or wait until stock arrives. So good communication made up for it. Thank you Andy!

Wrong product recieved just before Christmas

A few days after ordering a cycling jersey as a Christmas gift, I recieved an email that there was a stock issue and there would be a delay to receipt of the product. The package was then delivered but when I opened it, it was the incorrect jersey. I contacted the company by email who confirmed that indeed I had been sent a different product to the one I had ordered, as the one ordered was no longer available and had been replaced by what had been delivered-however I did not want this jersey. This was extremely frustrating as if I had been contacted in the first place and been told the product I ordered was out of stock and asked if I would still like to go ahead with the purchase, I would have said no. Instead, I had to find another supplier to deliver an alternative product just before Christmas as well as take the delivered product back to the post office which was a queuing nightmare! I would have given one star except for the prompt and polite email I recieved on querying the error upon receipt of the jersey, where an apology was given and instructions on how to obtain a refund.

No Fuss

The childrens bike we ordered from Buckingham bikes was about 10% cheaper than other retailers. It turned up within a week. Minimal assembly was required - pedals, headset insertion and stabilisers - but it was all pretty straightforward.

If you think you might be taking a bike back to the shop for advice, I'd buy one from a shop in person. If you are happy taking responsibility for yourself then go for it.

Great, friendly service

Buckingham Bikes were very helpful instore, and equally so when I placed an order online. One of my items was out of stock so they offered to send out a partial order before Christmas rather than wait til January to complete the full order. They also wrote back with advice on suitable accessories for my new bike.

OK, just not brilliant.

Having searched for suitable cold weather attire, I decided upon an Endura Hoodie which I located at Buckingham Bikes having found other online stores to be out of stock in my size. Suitably ordered, I received an email from Buckingham Bikes confirming the order but then nothing at all for a week. I contacted Buckingham Bikes enquiring about the status of my order where I was later informed that the garment I wanted was out of stock and my order would be delayed - that much I had managed to work out for myself! I was also informed that the item required was due into the store the following day and would be sent out upon their receipt. Another week went by before I received my order.
When initially ordering, there was nothing on the website to indicate that the item I wanted was out of stock and then the onus was on me to contact the store for an update - hardly outstanding customer service.
In a time when companies are competing with one another for customers, many will pride themselves on their customer service, next day delivery and competitive pricing, Buckingham Bikes seem only to strive to be mediocre in all of these aspects and they certainly achieved their goal on this occasion. I would use them again, but only after exploring other possibilities and following this I can only describe my experience with them as absolutely average.

great service & price

Ordered Bluetooth adapter for elite turbo muin. Shop called to discuss the order. Offered an alternative as the one I ordered was out of stock. Goods arrived, worked perfectly, great service.

Better than the rest

Ordered a £2.99 strap for rear light. Available on other sites at the same price but with £5 postage costs. Buckingham bikes NO charge for p&p and even took the time to email me about a short delay in delivery.

First Class Business!

Had a few issues originally when ordering online when items appeared in stock but we're not available. But, the service thereafter was top notch. I would certainly recommend this company, even when talking on the phone, they were brilliant and came up trumps. Thank you very much for saving the day on my sons birthday present! Well done for good after sales service too.

Great Shop, Website and Workshop

I've been a customer of Buckingham Bikes for years now, never had a problem. Staff are very knowledgable and all are keen cyclists, which helps a lot! The range of products is huge and I've never been left waiting for something because it wasn't in stock. I get my mtb tuned up before every race in the workshop and they never let me down, top service from a local bike shop. Support your local bike shop!!

Happy to put my bike in their hands every time

I have used Buckingham Bikes for many years now for purchasing new bikes, accessories and servicing. Always been happy with their advice and service and feel 100% confident to recommend them to anyone. The loyalty card adds a little bonus but I'd keep coming back here anyway.
