Budget Locksmith 

I am extremely disappointed with the service my wheelchair-bound Aunt received from Budget Locksmith in Stockport. After calling them for assistance, she was left without a working lock overnight – a shocking lack of care and responsibility given her vulnerability. To make matters worse, she was pressured into paying far more than seemed fair or reasonable, which felt like outright exploitation of her situation.

Leaving a disabled, elderly woman unsafe in her own home is inexcusable. No company that behaves in this way should be trusted, especially with the security of people’s homes. I would strongly advise others to avoid this locksmith and to seek out a reputable, professional service that treats customers with dignity and honesty.

I have made contact with my MP and intend to ensure that review of these crooks is undertaken

AVOID!! Got the same job done for half the price I was quoted. If you’re looking for locksmith in Liverpool I would highly recommend Delta! These are scammers!!

They think they are running a Mafia.
Sent me a locksmith without my consent and had audacity to misbehave over the phone about their call out charges. Stay away from these crooks.

Rip off merchants! Charged my elderly father over £300 to adjust a door. SCAMMED into paying for an hours work. Horrible woman who answers the phone - puts the phone down and very rude. Would give no stars if I could. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Do not trust this company. They left my downstairs upvc window unsecure, damaged my upvc window frame and had the cheek to charge me for the shoddy work.
You have been warned about my experience with this company.

Scammed my mother out of an huge sum of money and then blocked all our phone numbers when we tried to follow up.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company is an absolute scam.

They initially quoted me £75 for the job, but when the technician arrived, not only did he fail to communicate properly, he also tried to charge me £300 for a lock that retails for just £26. On top of that, they inflate their prices based on the urgency of the situation completely unethical.

When I confronted the technician about the outrageous charge, he refused to leave my property despite being told clearly that I no longer wanted the service. I felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable in my own home. I even had to raise my voice because he would not leave, despite knowing that someone unstable was about to arrive at the premises. This reckless behavior put someone’s safety at risk all in the name of a scam.

Disgusting company, utterly unprofessional, and dangerous. Avoid at all costs.

Also very not nice of them making fun of their clients on their WhatsApp group.

Had budget locks out to change 2 lock, they end up breaking the garage lock even more, which as resulted in me now need a new garage door, when I called to complain I got told someone would call me back, they never did so rang them back again and got told the same thing that they call me back and I’m still waiting for the call. They an absolute joke, save your self some time and money go somewhere else

This company is only interested in taking as much money from you as possible. Any attempt to complain is met by putting the phone down on you and then blocking your number. It is infuriating.

Shocking service. The guy quoted my partner's son £280 when he arrived, opened door in seconds then charged £150 call out + VAT so total £520 and demanded payment or he wouldn't leave. utter scam. When we rang to com plain they don't want to listen and out the phone down. STAY AWAY!

Came quick and fixed the issue but was £138 and he dint even have to drill a new lock or anything. Was there for 5 minutes service was good but wouldn’t say it’s was cheap for what he done

I had an awful experience with Budget Locksmith (budgetlocksmith.co.uk). They lured me in with a £49 fee for changing a lock, but dishonestly charged me £140 for a lock that is worth just £15 at Wickes. They claimed it was a "high-value lock," which is a complete lie. This company is clearly operating dishonestly.

When I called to complain, they said a manager would call me back—but of course, that never happened. I tried calling numerous times and couldn’t get through. My wife tried calling from her number, and they picked up but said the same thing. After that, they blocked her number. She then called from her work number, and they rudely hung up and blocked that number too. It’s clear they were avoiding us entirely.

I even tried emailing both of the email addresses listed, but both emails bounced back. Their behaviour is fraudulent and completely unacceptable.

I strongly urge anyone reading this to stay far away from this company. If you’ve had a similar experience, I encourage you to report them to the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) or Trading Standards.

This company’s practices are shady at best and outright fraudulent at worst. Avoid at all costs!

The ones who put good reviews must be either the very lucky ones or it must be some set up. As some of the customers mentioned they quote £49 on phone and state if it is a simple repair this price is included. When the guy came he charged nearly £70 for opening a stuck door only! He quoted £300-£400 for just repairing the gearbox / mechanism. The advisor on phone is very rude and arrogant. I would avoid this company as they are not honest or reliable as they will just aim to take advantage of your hard earned money.

Not good this locksmith company quoted me at £49 over the phone and the office for the locksmith quoted me at £49 then when the job is finished I get told I have to pay £386.00 not good he scammed me and took advantage of me he was Albanion man with brown beird and brown hair light skin and wore black trousers and black coat hooded jacket not happy I want compensation into my bank account he took to much money from me I only got quoted for £49 over the phone for the job I want compensation into my bank or I will get the police involved and get him done for scamming me and taking advantage of me and my Disability and Needs.

The WORST trader I’ve ever experienced. Over charged, poor locks fitted, damaged door and walls to fit a simple replacement lock barrel, left a total mess behind and insisted a lone female make a bank transfer for payment.

Had to call an emergency locksmith on a Sunday as got locked out of my student accommodation and he was here within 20 minutes and was very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend.

Gabs the locksmith is fantastic! He expertly installed a new lock on our French doors and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

Required emergency locksmith. Unable to get in, as father had left key in door. Father has dementia and was lying on floor after a fall. Firebrigade had to gain entry by smashing a window in order to gain access. Received prompt service from George who replaced lock with a safety mechanism that in future will allow access, even if door is locked from inside. George presented as polite and professional.

Called and in less than 30min someone arrived at my doors steps, check the situation told me what's needed to be done and how much would it cost and after agreeing the technician done the job in less than 10min, I just wanna say great response time and communication skills.
