Do not trust these thieves

Do not trust these thieves.
After more than a month they are still holding on to my deposit amount. i contacted them, i contacted my bank. i dont have time for this. Plus their service at the counter at rotterdam airport was horrific. at some point their only employee left to go to a nearby town and we had to wait more that 40 minutes for him wasting our time.
there were other discrepancies as well in the transaction but really i dont have the time to spend on this company.
i returned the car in perfect shape with no tickets etc.
at this time 35 days after i am still waiting for my deposit.
NEVER AGAIN

charges casillion for handling speeding tickets

I recently posted at 5 star rating due to budgets handling of a scratch.
I will now give them a 1 star rating for their handling of speeding tickets. I just received a ticket of €25 (€32). For forwarding my contact details to authorities Budget charged €42,35.
Shame on you!!!

I had a scratch on the rental car I got…

I had a scratch on the rental car I got from budget Schiphol. I had no cover for my excess damage and based on previous experience I very much feared that budget would take advantage of the situation and cash in on the entire deposit. I also prepared myself for a lengthy process when handing in the car. It was not so at all. It took an additional 2-4 min to settle the damage when delivering the car and the amount charged for the damage was more than reasonable. Well done budget and what a relief.

how to steel money on the first day of your holiday

We booked a car for one week at AVIS/Budget in Bari/Italy. We arrived a few hours too late at the desk. We got an upgrade and no downgrade to rent another car as our reservation was "overdue". From category G to category P. We had to pay € 807,- for one week although on the budget website category P cars were offered for € 565,-
They block your creditcard before you get your contract. So it's a very sneaky, dishonest way of doing business.

Stay away of those thieves!

Unacceptable experience! Stay away! They will try to rob you in any possible way!
I rented a car recently for 5 days. Upon my arrival, the employee tried to charge me with extra insurance and covers. She was even told me that if the car breaks down I need to pay extra for road assistance. And of course, that I am not covered for any accident. So, what the hell is the ´basic insurance´ that we pay when we make the booking?
The worst of all was when I dropped the car off 5 days later. The employee ensured me that everything was OK after the inspection and accepted the keys of the car. After a day they called me from Budget accusing me for a damage in the car. They told me that they would send me photos of the damage. I didn't acknowledge the damage and told them that they have nothing to prove that I was responsible for this damage after one day that the car was not in my possession. Then, they never send me the email with the photos and the charged my credit card with 275,00 euro without even notifying me at all! (In the terms & conditions it is stated that IF the customer is not present at the inspection of the car then they can charge the credit card. But I was there and the employee ensured me that everything was OK and I gave the keys to her 'hand-to-hand'). So, this claim is not valid.
I discussed this with a friend and he told me that he had the same issue with the same company and that they do this systematically!
DO NOT EVEN THINK TO REND A CAR WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
STAY AWAY! THEY ARE SYSTEMATICALLY STEALING OUR MONEY!
