High wear and tear charges
My daughter and 7 other students rented from this company. At the start of the tenancy it had not been cleaned, despite it being advertised as a 'boutique property'. For example clothes were still in drawers, freezer frozen up, oven not cleaned.
When they left, the landlord put in an exceptionally high figure for cleaning and wear and tear. We took this to the Deposit Adjudicator and they reduced the landlord's claim. The original claim from the land lord was £3,380, this has been reduced by £1,900, by the Deposit Scheme Adjudicator.
The property was good after we cleaned it, but I would not recommend using this landlord. Thankfully the students documented their complaints by email and we could send this to the Adjudicator.
