First class service

I lost a nut from my Secateurs and got in touch with the enquiries team. Nancy was very helpful from the start and soon established just what I needed and posted it out to me. Cannot fault the service received to get the high quality tool back in a useable state

Customer for Life!

I was given a Burgon and Ball digging fork as a gift and used it for 2 years until this fall when a tine broke. It had been purchased at Dobbies (who no longer carry this brand! ) but as I had no receipt and they had no copy of one, they referred me to directly contact Burgon and Ball. I emailed them and Nancy immediately got back to me. I sent pictures and answered a few questions and VOILA within 2 days a new fork arrived ! It was wonderful to know there are still companies out there that back their products. We are a customer for life ! Dobbies should carry these products again.

Groundbreaker Spade…

We have found the ground breaker spade particularly useful over the last five years with a variety of difficult ground conditions and roots. Then unfortunately the wooden handle broke, I contacted Burgon & Ball to see if I could get a new handle, and was advised that subject to them viewing photos of the failure it may be covered by their warranty. Photos were duly sent and the same day they advised that a replacement spade would be dispatched asap, this arrive two days later, Brilliant. Excellent customer service. We have a number of Burgon & Ball tools and are pleased with them all.

Service above and beyond

I’ve just received a brand new spade from Burgon and Ball as a replacement for my old spade that had broken. I hadn’t saved my receipt, but I thought I’d ask if I could get the spade repaired. They replied very promptly and just a couple of emails later a brand new spade arrived on my doorstep. With service like that Burgon and Ball will be my first port of call for any gardening tools. Absolutely brilliant.

Shenzen not Sheffield and Poor Quality

Bought at a local garden centre. Sheffield is plastered all over the products with talk of manufacturing heritage on the website. They skipped the part where they moved almost all the production to China. Strange how they forgot that bit..

A few items are still from Sheffield (mainly the expensive bladed ones) so they can carefully word their marketing to make you think you’re getting all traditionally made British tools not just stuff from the cheapest OEM they could find in China.

I can only comment on the one item I purchased; a hand hoe. It boasted of a super duper quality weld. Was fine for a few uses then snapped off from nothing harsher than some turf.

It looks nice and traditional but it’s the same low end stuff you can get from any brand for a much lower price. Needless to say, I won’t waste my money again.

Best customer service ever!

Sadly my Sophie Conran trowel snapped, no receipt as it was a gift. No problem! Nancy replied to my email in less than an hour and sent a replacement which arrived in less than two days. What a lovely lady, what a wonderful company, and what amazing customer service. Couldn't recommend any higher. Thank you Burgon and Ball.

Excellent tools, excellent customer service

All of our garden tools are Burgon & Ball, as we have found over the years that they are well-designed and well-made. Yesterday my wife somehow managed to bend one of the tines on her border fork; I contacted B&B this morning to ask for advice on bending it back - and instead was notified almost immediately that they will be sending out a replacement under the Lifetime Guarantee. Could not ask for better customer service.

Excellent Customer Service from Nancy

I wrote to Burgon & Ball enquiries on Sunday 8th September as my border spade, purchased about 3 years, had stared to come apart at the weld on the main body of the spade. I had a reply from Nancy early this morning 9th September advising me she was going to arrange for a replacement to be dispatched to me. Wonderful customer service which in todays world is incredible and needs to be commended.
What Stirling service my new spade arrived this morning!!
