Retail customers ripped off

I went to the Albany store and was quoted $94 for a Ryco Z372 oil filter. I was a bit startled at the [rice so refused the transaction - then called their Kelmscott store and was quoted $57.20. I sent an email to the company and got a prompt call back. The reason was : The Kelmscott store gave the wholesale customer price and should not have done that. We do 90% of our trade with wholesale so don't really support retail. We charge high prices to retail so that we can charge lower prices to our wholesale customers.
My response was that obviously I won't go to Bursons if they have that policy. His response was essentially you are not wholesale so we don't care.

Don't waste your time walking into their stores

I thought Bursons was a little local store in Kilkenny, South Australia, not even realizing it was a huge national operation. Under that false impression, I decided to call in and buy some carwash on a weekday morning. As I walked in there were 3 people behind the counter, who didn't even acknowledge me when I walked past, as they were all busy tapping away on computers. I eventually found what I was looking for and went up to one of the 3 people, when I realized they were all mumbling into headsets. I stood back and waited 5 minutes, still not being acknowledged. Finally, a fourth person walked out to the counter and walked up to another computer. I assumed they were going to serve me, wrong! They were also mumbling into a headset. I stood back and looked at all four people behind the counter, all whispering into their headsets when it hit me I was the only "potential" customer in the store. I walked back to the aisle and put back the carwash and walked out. It was only when I had my hand on the door that one of them called out to me "can I help you mate?". Without bothering to even turn to him, I replied that they already had. I went to the local BP servo and purchased the exact same brand carwash for $2.50 less. If I never set foot into one of their stores again, it would be too soon.

Protorque BA Falcon 3 bend power…

Protorque BA Falcon 3 bend power steering hose will not screw into pump. The pipe geometry and screw up fitting to the pump are all wrong and wasted many hours of my time. They will have to refund me for this product and will never trust any of their aftermarket rubbish again. I have taken off the O.E.M part many times and it always screwed up like a dream but when I brought the aftermarket Protorque product the Bursons salesman assured me that although it had different fittings it will screw up no problems. This was defiantly not the case and Bursons should trial all the items they sell so they dont end up lying to their customers and making us have to do the job twice not to mention the inconvenience of having your car off the road for an extended period.
