Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the products, citing issues such as poor durability, screens cracking easily, and devices failing shortly after purchase or warranty expiration. Reviewers frequently encountered problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and often directing them to unhelpful links or offering costly refurbished replacements for faulty new items. The user experience was also a common point of frustration, with many finding devices difficult to set up, unintuitive to use, and having poor user interfaces. Additionally, the price of the products was often deemed too high given the perceived lack of quality and short lifespan. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with customer service, praising specific representatives for being helpful and professional. A few other people also felt that some products, like certain watch straps, were of good quality and worth the cost, and some found specific watch models to be amazing and accurate for data tracking.

Really poor service

Really poor service. Garmin Fenix lasted 25 months which happens to be 1 month past warranty. Garmin offered me a replacement for £400.

Similar thing with wahoo and they replaced it straight away

Brand new Garmin Forerunner 970

I ordered a brand new Garmin Forerunner 970, when it arrived it had a fault on the screen. I emailed garmin and they came back saying they would replace it as they can see there is a fault. They wanted me to send my one back and wait until that had been processed before sending a new one, they then offered for me to pay a deposit to get a new one sent out, which I did, and the next day they said they didn’t have any and cancelled my order!! Then went back to having to send mine in, with a wait time of 2 months now! Shocking service, especially for a brand new expensive watch!

Disappointing Customer Support for £800 Premium Watch

I purchased a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar watch in November 2021 for over £800 as a gift for my husband. After fewer than 4 years of use, the heart rate monitor has developed a fault, repeatedly triggering false high heart rate alerts — even when the watch isn’t being worn.

We contacted Garmin support expecting a level of service befitting a premium health-focused product. Instead, we were told it’s “nothing to do with them” because the watch was bought through a retailer and is out of warranty. No investigation, no goodwill, no technical support — just a flat refusal to help.

This is completely unacceptable for a high-end product where health tracking is a key selling point. My husband has a medical condition (narcolepsy) and relies on this watch to help manage his sleep and wellbeing.

Garmin’s refusal to even engage beyond citing the expired warranty shows a total lack of accountability and customer care. I’ve had better aftercare for products a quarter of the price.

Garmin clearly wants the sale, not the responsibility. I won’t be buying from them again — and I’d advise anyone spending serious money on a smartwatch to look elsewhere.

Had a Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar for 3…

Had a Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar for 3 years then it died. Was offered a replacement for another £225 but whats the point. You'd expect a watch that costs around £950 to last a bit longer. Plus TBH the garmin software and interface is a mess. Went with an Apple Ultra 2 in the end.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Garmin…

Just wanted to say thanks to the Garmin Europe team. My device developed a fault after just over a year, and despite the warranty being invalid, they replaced the device free of charge. No questions, no negotiation, just brilliant customer experience. I will never buy another device that is not a Garmin, now that I’ve had this brilliant experience.

Windscreen magnet replacement

Dash cam fine BUT I am Changing my car and all all I need is a new disk to stick on the windscreen but impossible to buy separately so have to buy a whole new dash cam mount set. A waste of plastic and waste of money.
Now I would have thought most dash cam owners were far more likely to simply need to replace the magnet stuck to the windscreen than the whole mount so why can’t they simply supply the magnet separately. A shame because a lack of customer focus

0 customer service

I ordered 2 watches from this website. UPS claimed the package god damaged and informed Garmin. No refund. I made a ticked through Garmin website and received automatic confirmation that the ticket was submitted. No response. Another ticket. No response. I tried calling UK and PL offices. No response. I had to find a local official Garmin Repair shop through witch i was able to get into contact with Garmin. Even after i got into contact it took another few weeks to settle the refund.

So from the returned parcel, to an actual refund it took 2 months. Horrible customer service. 0 Help, never buying through official Garmin website again.

Garmin supplied me with a new S44 watch…

Garmin supplied me with a new S44 watch with a software fault. I requested a replacement and was informed by Garmin they were aware of the issue and I had two options. The first, return the watch and purchase a replacement from another supplier. The second option was they would try and repair it under their warranty process. When I asked how long it would take to correct the fault they could not give me a time scale to fix the fault

What year are we in? Terrible delivery

What year are we in? Ordered watch on Wednesday. Was supposed to be delivered Saturday. It didn’t show up and now there is no indication of when it will. I live in London. Maybe it’s UPS’s fault, but seriously?! Find a better delivery company.

Premium watch -Epix lasted only 2.5yrs

Premium watch (Epix) lasted only 2.5 years before developing a system fault. No physical damage but after an update the watch is unusable. Customer support offered 15% off a new watch or 140 charge for a replacement with only a 90 day warranty. The issue is well written about online so garmin know this is an issue but unwilling to fix the watch. Disappointing, will not buy a Garmin again. Avoid.

My experience of garmin customer…

My experience of garmin customer support. I was made to provide a whole load of evidence and logs for them to accept the problem. It was obvious at no stage that support had actually read the problem or checked what they had already requested.
You are then brushed off, knowing that garmin had made changes creating the problem.
Yet again garmin have demonstrated a complete lack of effort to resolve a problem.
I obviously need to start migrating my 5 garmin devices to an alternative brand.

I bought it the Garmin Explore 2

I bought it the Garmin Explore 2, and I find it very difficult to navigate and the small screen makes it difficult to view the map, and it is also very slow to search for addresses or connect to satellites. This device is made of plastic and possibly fragile. I had some challenges to connect the device to a PC and also to my mobile phone there is some glitches in their software.

I bought the Garmin Venu 3s in December 2024, and I am 100% statisfied. It is a beautiful watch, all the data tracking work well and recording activities had never been so easy and accurate. I highly recommend! Can no longer live without, it has been a game changer it my running training.

Absolutely awful experience.

Absolutely awful experience from beginning to end. The Garmin GPS device is not in the least bit intuitive. Takes ages to learn the functions, ages to plot routes and once you've gone through the lengthy planning process the device is annoyingly unreliable. Bought dedicated maps for the whole UK at great expense. These are slow and unwieldy and not as good as OS maps. Just used the device as a source for the maps, but suddenly it stops working so we don't even have access to the maps anymore. Garmin customer service is anything but customer-focused. While they recognised that there was a problem with the device, their solution was to sell me another one for a discounted price. My recommendation is to buy a map and compass and learn how to use them (easier to use than a Garmin and infinitely more reliable).

Absolute shit

Absolute shit!

Never buy their smart scales. I had them and used them for some 8 times. After switching it on it shows in st not kg. I tried the switch between options and nothing it just sits on stones measurement. Reached out to support who asked me to send them video, we had a long discussion which they said they will replace it, but because it is outside of warranty they will want some £100.00 pounds for me to pay. Which is unacceptable. These scales should last a long time. Not give out after 8 times stepped on and withing 2.5 years of use.

I am truly disappointed and won't be buying any Garmin products going forward and I have many! Fenix 5s+, various Forerunners, Garmin inReach mini, Descent MK2.

I have no trust in this company!
Regards
