Great way of selling sporting equipment around Europe with ease and security! Some tech issues with the app not always responding correctly but getting better all the time.

I purchased a pair of wheels through Buycycle on May 7.

Timeline:

*May 7:Order placed.
* The seller had 48 hours to accept the sale, which they did.
* According to Buycycle's process, the seller then had 10 days to ship the item. If the seller fails to ship, Buycycle states on its website that a refund will be issued from the secured account within 10 days.
* Based on this timeline, I should have received my refund no later than May 17.

When the refund had not arrived by then, I contacted Buycycle. They told me it would be processed as soon as possible.

I then waited another 14 days before contacting them again on May 29, as I still had not received my money. They created a support ticket and assured me the matter was being taken seriously.

Today, June 6, exactly one month after I placed the order, I contacted them once more because I still have not received my refund.

To be clear, Buycycle cannot control whether a seller ships an item or not. However, they are responsible for handling refunds, and in my case they have not met the refund timeline described on their own website.

If you cannot afford to have your money tied up for a month or longer without receiving either the product or a refund, you may want to think carefully before using Buycycle.

At this point, I am still waiting to see if I will receive my money at all.

Easy to sell my cycling equipment. Smooth transaction and fast deposit.

I've purchased several items and each time it's been a easy transaction once the seller and I agree on price.. It's a wonderful site to purchase pre-owned items and recommend it to friends.

Found a great bike, bought it and received it in very good condition. It’s especially great for shorter or taller. People who have less choice in their local market for used bikes. Would absolutely use it again.

The quality of service is very disappointing.

The platform and the app itself are well designed and provide a good user experience. However, that's only the digital side of the service. The human element and the actual operational processes are so slow and inefficient that the cost becomes absurd.

You charge nearly 8% in commission, which in my case amounts to almost €500, yet the level of support, speed, and execution falls far short of what I would expect for that price.

This is often what happens when a company operates with little real competition. Hopefully, someone in the EU will eventually offer a better alternative and raise the standard for services like this.

Choice of bikes. Being able to trust that a bike you buy or sell has super secure packaging supplied by buycycle, yes the buyer has to pay, but the cost is reasonable considering you can buy from a large selection of countries which gives a huge choice of bikes and prices. I also think the guidelines for packing and sending bikes is great, plus making sure sellers take photos during the packing process. I think these guys are very professional. There was a long delay for a bike I purchased but without hesitation I was given a small repayment which I really appreciated.

Great service to find awesome deals on bikes. Little scary because you have to trust the seller. In my case the seller was top notch and I had no issues whatsoever. I would use this service again for sure.

Dont buy via buycycle!!!! scam!!
purchased a bicycle through Buycycle that arrived with a severely bent derailleur hanger, making the bike unusable without repair. The condition of the bike did not match what was advertised.

After reporting the issue through Buycycle’s claims process, my initial request for a return was refused. Only after further discussions was a return accepted, but I was informed that I would have to pay €163 and would not be reimbursed for the original shipping costs. As a result, I would lose approximately €300 on a bicycle that was not delivered in the condition described.

In addition, I had to spend extra time and effort having the bike inspected and dealing with the claims process.

I am very disappointed with how this case was handled. When a bike is delivered in a condition that differs significantly from the listing, the buyer should not be left bearing substantial costs to resolve the issue.

Easy posting and transaction sell

Bicycle was damaged in shipping and the response and partial refund from buycycle was prompt and reasonable. Sebastian provided very friendly customer service.

I bought the bike from the seller on April 30, 2026.
However, the bike was not delivered to me until May 28, 2026.
There was a delay in shipping the bike.
The bike was delivered over a short distance: from Italy to the Czech Republic.
Very long delivery time. I am not satisfied.

So far so good, no issue - great professional and reliable platform to buy and sell cycling stuff

My bike is having a new life in Finland :-)
