I had no intention of leaving By Miles…

I had no intention of leaving By Miles but was advised that the company was taking a new direction and couldn't renew my policy as they wouldn't be offering any new or renew By Miles policies.
The subsequent communication that I received from the company when I informed them that I had found alternative insurance as legally required to do so gave the impression that I had decided to move and not that they no longer offered By Miles policies.
Further more the communication indicated that I could go back to them in the future.
If the company is changing direction and no longer offering By Miles policies then the communication should reflect that.
Other than the issue concerning the communication I had excellent service from the company in the past.

Excellent company to deal with for car…

Excellent company to deal with for car insurance. Very competitive price as you only pay for the miles you do. Also keeps a check on where your car is from the plug in device which is useful if your car gets stolen. Unfortunately they are discontinuing my car insurance for next year although I’ve been told it’s nothing to do with me or my circumstances. I would have stayed with them for all future cover. Highly recommend.

Customer service bymiles

All staff that I have engaged with, regarding my car insurance has been second to none. They resolve all issues regarding the ending of my car insurance contract and they made sure that any money owed was paid into my account. I was sorry that I could no longer get insurance cover with this company.

Pay as you go insurance service

I like the fact I only pay insurance for when I actually use my car as I dont drive to often.
Was also very easy to cancel insurance due to selling my car.
Excellent all round service.

Sad to hear that By Miles will be ending

I have loved being with By Miles. I love the simplicity of the app, the ability to do the mini car health check, track where my vehicle is, and the reasonable payments based on how much I actually drive. I’m really disappointed to hear that they’re being dissolved. I have been with them for about five years and have insured three different vehicles in that time.

By Miles - Excellent support

Usually, I can use the app when I need to know anything about my policy and I get an instant response from the chat function. On this occasion I needed to speak to someone in person about a complicated change of vehicle. Kelly was very helpful and even took the time to consult with colleagues and ring me back to ensure I got the best solution. Very happy with the support I received.

By Far Useless

I downloaded the app and was genuinely looking forward to try a usage based car insurance app (UBI) as my renewal is coming up in 4 weeks time. The app downloaded okay, but it failed to provide my email link. I looked in the spam folder, not there and tried it 3X. You are not gonna believe this, but By Miles is my fourth attempt in trying to get an UBI quote!!! Now, I am extremely suspicious of these 11K reviews with hardly any other scores? I have taken a photo, so I can provide Trust pilot with evidence that I tried it.

To clarify, our app is available to existing members, allowing them to view their policy, track journeys, and make changes as needed. Login details are created once a quote is purchased, so only policyholders are able to access the app.

Unfortunately, we are no longer offering quotes for new customers, so we are unable to provide you with a policy at this time. I understand this may be disappointing.

By miles… great company!

It’s my 3rd year with Bymiles car insurance, & can honestly say, what a great company! Everything is explained so clearly, & great, competitive prices each year. One little thing I will add, is to always go over the miles you pay, this way there will be no shortfall, & they’ll refund any miles you don’t use, at the end of your contract…

Sadly we can't go on

Unfortunately, they are unable to offer policies for next year, due to restructuring, and it's such a shame, as I thought this was a great way to offer insurance to low-mileage customers. They sent you information on every journey you made, and I thought this was terrific. You always knew where you were and I'll miss having that amount of information.
